So sorry I didn't post this much earlier. I didn't expect to go somewhere over the weekend so I wasn't able to post it. Then I had school so I couldn't face it just yet. So here is I think the third to the last chapter? I don't if I'm going to prolong it but yeah. Here you go guys. Don't know when I'm going to update it though.

Annabeth's POV

The gods looked regal as they descended from the sky and I couldn't believe I have forgotten that they are coming to help us. With Roman demigods and Greek demigods, one would wonder why they don't have their splitting headaches or why they're not having trouble switching between their two personas. However, all of them had finally settled for a modern persona. The age where there is no more lines between romans and greeks but a unified era between all demigods.

As the gods touched the grounds, they all separated to help each counselor while the others, like Hermes and Athena, went for the other titans and giants that don't have any opponent. I could see all of the Olympians in their combat forms, however, the sea god was nowhere to be found and I that he still wasn't fit for battle. I knew that Poseidon must be irritated by now. To be reduced to sitting on the sidelines must be infuriating. Especially since if we win this war, his brothers will forever hold this over his head. Even my mother will taunt him for all eternity after this.

Zeus arrived at Jason's side with a flash of lightning, wanting to be as flashy as he could be. Artemis joined Thalia's side with her bow ready while Thalia gave a bow to the goddess. Frank found himself standing with his father, Ares, who arrived as bloodthirsty as ever. The other gods positioned themselves with their sons and daughters and I could see them looking proud of their offspring.

Not wanting to be undone, Hades rose from the ground looking fierce with his undead minions, joining his son, Nico, into battle. Hestia is even riding to battle as well and this is the first time I saw her fight. Seeing that the last two wars we had, Hestia was away from the fights. The battle for survival must be too much for her to ignore and just sit on her hearth.

However, it doesn't end there because even the minor gods had decided to join in the fray. I knew that there were many gods but I never fully realized the magnitude of that fact. They had joined the Olympians in their campaign against the children of the primordial. Other gods had joined the campers in their defense against the monsters. Their sheer numbers is quite a sight that I feel bad for the enemy. However, I do feel a twinge of anger since they didn't even try to help much earlier. If it weren't for Percy's careful planning, I don't think many of us would have survived.

It's as if my mother was reading my mind right now, Athena stared at me with the same grey eyes I possess. She shook her head at me, telling me to dispel my thoughts. I could only sigh knowing that she's right and harboring these feelings will only lead to more war. However, she did gave me a smile that could only mean relief and pride. She knew the stakes we were in and she was glad that no one had gone to the underworld yet.

"The resemblance between the two of you is quite frightening." I jumped at the sound of Lady Chaos' voice since I was too immersed in my mother and I's stare down. Since I have no retort for her comment, I just nodded in assent. I then noticed that she looked immensely better and I knew that she didn't need the barrier to be put up now that Gaea and Tartarus lost a huge amount of their strength. However, I do wonder whether the gods will show their true forms. Lady Chaos' must generate another barrier if we don't want the demigods to be fried. As I ended my musings, I noticed the whole area hold its breath.

Everyone was in a standstill as the two forces assessed each other and we would have gaped at each other. The monsters knew that they are in a terrible pinch right now that I could feel fear emanating from them, however, a grunt could be heard from most of the titans and giants. Our eyes followed each of them as they regain their consciousness. It was Bob who first regained his consciousness. It was quite humorous to view our situation as everybody gazed at the titan. Bob hadn't notice the intimidating force ready to send him back to Tartarus as he slowly sat up from his position.

When Bob had finally realized the situation he was in, he sat frozen on the ground as he took in the position he is currently at. I would like to think that it would take us an eternity before any of us moved if only Percy didn't land in the middle with a growl ready to rip through his mouth. All of the heads turned towards him, shocked that somebody had made him furious. I followed his line of sight and saw Vince with the two primordial. Gaea and Tartarus looked beaten up and their whole body is bathed with golden ichor. We could sense that they have weakened tremendously but seeing that Vince is backing them up, they had been able to retaliate.

Vince was in no better condition after his fight with Red but it doesn't look like it bothered him and even taunted his former master, "Regretting your decision already, Omega?" He sneered at Percy. His voice, dripping with venom, as he gazed into Percy murderously. Percy didn't retort but let loose a deafening roar at his former third-in-command. All of us just saw a blur before thundering clang resounded between the sword and the gauntlet.

Seeing that their masters had reengaged once more, hell broke loose once more as the monsters continued their battle with the demigods. A giant came barreling towards and I had to help Connor bring it down. Connor faced it head on to get its attention as I side stepped and slash from the back.

My mind had undergone back to its rhythm. Slash. Hack. Dodge. Kick. Stab. As I continue to decimate the monsters, I noticed the fight between the Titans and the Giants. I was confused as the children of Gaea and Tartarus didn't even try to retaliate and was just defending themselves. Their mouths moving and I could see fear in their face. I knew that facing these many opponents is quite unnerving but they still should have pride, especially Kronos, King of the Titans. However, the god of time seems to be ready to kneel in front of Zeus and Jason along with the minor gods. Even the Giant King, Porphyrion, looks like he doesn't want to fight back.

I continue to mow down the monsters in front of me and at the same time, I'm trying to find a logical answer as to why they are acting submissive towards their enemy. Not knowing the problem is making me lose concentration on the fight before me that Piper had to save my butt twice in a row.

"Annabeth!" Piper complained and I just gave her an apologetic look.

I continued on fighting but the questions doesn't escape my mind until Chaos answered it for me. "They are trying to surrender and be taken in custody." Lady Chaos answered with confusion laced in her words.

"What?" I stopped abruptly and I whipped my head towards her direction. Thank the gods that Connor was in front of me since another dracaena had decided to slice me.

"Annabeth!" He scolded but I didn't even turn my head towards him. I just heard the monster's scream and Connor's grumbling.

"They're surrendering?" My eyes were wide with confusion. Lady Chaos nodded and she looked troubled by this. I would have thought that she would be glad that they're surrendering. That would mean that we could help Percy now.

"Something's wrong..," she mumbled and I trembled because hearing fear in the creator's voice is something you don't want.

"What do you mean something's wrong?" I knew that the other three would be mad at me for neglecting my duties but I have to know what's happening. I would apologize later for taking care of my absence.

Lady Chaos chose not to answer me and her eyes searched the sky, looking for something and I couldn't help but fidget with anxiousness.

"Lady Chaos!"

Still her gaze was planted towards the sky. I turned my head towards the titans and the giants and I could still see them pleading for their life. However, the gods doesn't look like they're in a forgiving mood as they attack mercilessly. Even my friends had no desire in just letting the enemy surrender after all of the pain and suffering they make us go through.

I would have thought the same thing as well but the way Lady Chaos reacted made me wary of how things are developing right now.

My head turned and I looked for Percy, hoping he had settled the score between the primordials and Vince. However, it was wishful thinking that I would see it over already because they are still managing to stand up against Percy. I could see that the primordials are not much of a help except distracting Percy so that Vince could retaliate.

Percy would slash fiercely and swiftly at Vince who would barely block the strike as it was far too heavy for Vince to come out unscathed. As Percy would deliver another hack of his sword, Tartarus and Gaea would disrupt his movements making him retreat. Vince would hastily ready his fist to knock off the assassin of Chaos but he's still too slow for Percy. This just kept happening, making their fight longer than it should be.

However, I couldn't help but notice a small pressure coming out of Percy that's making it a bit harder for me to breathe. Before I could put my finger on it, a clap of thunder resounded in the sky and I couldn't help but roll my eye because I knew that Zeus must be impressing everyone with his power.

I looked towards the god of the sky and I saw Zeus gaping at the sky, looking lost as to what happened. I didn't even realize that what the sight meant until Lady Chaos whispered, "No…, even them?"

My head whipped towards the creator and I wish I hadn't because I found betrayal written on her face. Then, her betrayed face morphed into rage and screamed at Percy, "Percy!"

Everyone stopped as the loud voice of the creator called out for her right hand man. Percy had already collided his blade on the rock wall Gaea had created to defend Vince. The son of Poseidon looked confused as to why he was being interrupted but one sharp nod from the creator towards the sky made him realize something is wrong. His eyes grew and bulged out from his sockets and I followed his gaze, wanting to know what is wrong.

For a moment, I don't know what I am supposed to look at but then I noticed a dark spot marring the sky. I didn't know what it was and I don't realize what is wrong about it. Just as I was to ask what it was, a flash of light appeared and I counted sixteen people emerge from the light, all clad in suits of black. They were of different sizes, one even looked like Danny.

Even this is the first time I have seen this group, I knew from their presence that these people are part of the Chaos' Punishers Percy had been talking about. Sixteen people to complete the twenty people Percy had saved from their demise.

Everyone looked confused at them and warily, not knowing where they came from. However, I knew that they could feel the same kind of presence with Red and the other's presence. Their arrival could mean another threat. I, on the other hand, knew what it means for them to arrive. Percy must have called them to help but the way Percy looked made me think otherwise.

"Surprised, oh great leader?" I heard Vince say, almost gloatingly. I looked at Percy and I could see a vicious snarl coming from him. Before I could even turn my heads back to them, I heard a guttural scream. I whipped my head towards the source and found one of them stabbing a minor god, Janus. Then, just as before the scream abruptly ended leaving no trace of the god.

All of the people on the battlefield looked shocked and unmoving. No one from our side knows what to do and we all could do is listen to Vince laughing like a maniac.

"Wooh, there goes the god of beginnings." Vince mocked us and hatred boiled deep inside me. "You don't look so good there, Omega." He laughed even more.

"That's why we wanted a ceasefire, you dunderheads." Kronos yelled. The Titans and the Giants must knew their plan due to their time inside Gaea and Tartarus' head.

"RED!" Percy yelled at the top of his lungs and I could see Red finally waking up. I thought that Vince had killed Percy's right hand man already. I guess he couldn't kill him. Red looked confused for a second but after surveying the battlefield, he understood immediately and charged at a nearby traitor of their cause.

Seeing that the first-in-command is setting out to attack them, four of them met his charge head-on while the others attacked the gods. Chaos once more enveloped the whole place and I know nothing could stop this fight anymore. I know that the end is nearing.

Red is trying his best to disable the four fighters rapidly because right now, the other Chaos' Punishers are decimating the other gods. The Olympians are trying their hardest to go head to head with them but they were unmatched. I didn't know that the minor gods had any love for the Olympians because they kept sacrificing themselves when they knew they were going to strike deathly blow on them.

Zeus kept ushering in thunderstorms but they were completely blocked everytime. It only helps because it distracts the enemy they are fighting. However, the multitude of gods are dwindling down rapidly. Hades undead forces don't even have the chance to get their whole body out of the ground before they get shredded.

I knew that Percy must be berating himself because he, himself, caused all of this. I knew that he helped them get stronger that it must be killing him on what they are doing. The betrayal on him must be taking a heavy toll because his moves are becoming sluggish. That's the only reason Vince and the Primordials are having an advantage over the assassin of Chaos.

"Frank!" Hazel yelled and I quickly scanned the area for them. When I found them, my hands immediately covered my mouth. A sword, with a dark aura surrounding it, stabbed in Ares' chest. It looks like Ares took the strike for his son.

"DAD!" The son of Mars screamed loudly and before Ares could even reach his hand towards his son, he disappeared abruptly. The god of war is no more.
