30 years after the fall of the Olympian Council.

Two Kevlar-clad men stood on top of a ruined building looking over the ruined streets of Times square. Glass and rumble blanketed the ground with craters filled with ruined vehicle littered the streets. What made the sight more devastating was the amount of bodies being attended to by family members, or the city cleaning crew.

"What happened this time?" one man asked the other looking at the destruction.

"Ares went on his rampage again. Something about a shield that he lost or something." The other man answered. They continued to look down at the destruction until one of them sighed.

"Come on we should get back. HQ is expecting us. Some big shot is coming here".

Atlantis

It has been thirty years since the New Olympian council announced their presence and dominion to the world. At first, people scoffed at the idea of old Greek gods trying to take over the world, but when cities started to get leveled across the world, and people started to get massacred by invincible monsters, they believed. With the combined Hephaestus, and Athena almost all form of technology was rendered useless to fight these beings, and no force in the world could harm them.

All hope was lost. That was until another force came into the picture and helped protect the innocents and provide sanctuaries. Humans at first was suspicious of them, which later became hatred after learning they too are related to old Greek gods. But through hardship, and strife the old Olympian army have provided peace in certain parts of the world.

In Atlantis, the de facto leader Percy was having a hard time running the city, and mortal sanctuaries around the world. After the seven demigods became guardians of their parents, many went their separate ways to fulfill their duties and help mortals in danger.

Thalia created her own version of the hunters which hunted down high-level monsters and immortal enemy demigods. What made her hunters different from Artemis's, was she recruited both male, and female, as well of all races. Her brother, on the other hand, decided to take a more direct approach to opposes the New-Olympians. He organized the defense of havens around the world and led groups to attack strongholds, and prisoners transport. Jason became quite a popular, and famous man to the mortals.

Nico and Hazel together ran the underworld. Of course, there was a lot of hardship due to the excessive amount of death in the overworld, and disagreement with local death gods. When they were not busy with the underworld, they ran a large smuggling ring and spy organization. Providing Atlantis with information of new players in the field, and important location.

Katie and Rachel traveled the world providing food, medicines and hope to the less fortunate, and to havens across the world. They were also extremely popular amongst the mortal, and each has a small following helping them achieve their goals.

They all still viewed Percy as a leader, but all of them have gotten annoyed of Percy personal rules of no interference and staying in Atlantis to run everything while the rest did their own things. He became distant from them and spent all of his time in the throne room which he moved a desk in. Nobody knew why Percy acted like he did, but they all respected that he probably was the busiest amongst all of them with him running Atlantis, and a rebellion. Taking up the leadership role of all sanctuaries around the globe, and Atlantis Percy has not had been lucky as his fellow guardians. While they are traveling the world and becoming popular, Percy was here running everything and viewed by the mortals as a dictator.

Today was the winter solstice and was the day when all representatives of sanctuaries, factions, and guardians gather to discuss future plans. Percy stood on a balcony in the throne room overlooking the city of Atlantis. Unlike the sanctuaries Atlantis had the perfect defense which is the envy of the other sanctuaries. Percy and Leo did try and created some temporary accommodations for people to live in but it wasn't perfect.

Percy was deep in thought and didn't notice his former mentor walking up behind him.

"Percy" Chiron spoke up. "Are you ready to commence the meeting?" Percy looked behind and sighed.

"I suppose. I'm getting too old for this crap." He muttered. Percy appearance changed over the last couple of decades, with the help of Hebe who altered his age to be in his prime. He had the appearance of a 23 years old man while actually being 47 years old.

He walked toward the throne is meant for the Prince of Atlantis. It used to be right beside his father larger throne, but Percy with the help of Hermes moved it to the back where for the last couple of decades have been gathering dust. In front of his throne was a large table that was used by the first Olympians during the Titan war. It covered half the room with chairs surrounding it and littered with the bane of Percy existence. Paperwork.

Chiron chuckled "Try training thousands of ADHD kids for more than a thousand years," he remarked. Chiron became Percy advisor and mentor over the years. Without him, Percy would have gone crazy years ago due to the sheer amount of paperwork and politics.

Percy sat on his throne and motion the guards at the back of the room, and the large throne room door slowly opened. Behind it was dozens of representatives of sanctuaries with their own personal entourages, the guardians with their second in commands, and major rebel leaders from around the world. Hermes and Aphrodite and dozens of minor gods flashed into the room and stood around the table. The guardian sat to the seats closest to Percy while the rest took designated seat with their entourage hovering behind them.

After everyone was settled they all looked at Percy. Percy grabbed a couple of paperwork in front of him and looked up "Let us get started shall we?"

One of the leaders of the sanctuaries rose from his seat and spoke up. "Situation in Sanctuary Kansas is becoming dire. Our defenses aren't holding up and the enemy is not letting up. We will lose Wichita and the enemy will gain a foothold in Kansas." People murmured around the table while Percy picked up a map off the table which highlighted the location of all Sanctuaries. Only the guardians and a select few knew where all of them are located.

"Evacuate all civilians from Wichita and create a passage to the Ocean. Leo set up Argo 6 for departure and Sanctuary Kansas provide buses. We don't have the manpower currently to defend Wichita properly but we'll make the move in as uncomfortable as possible. Nico, establish up some hidden vantage points and spy nest throughout the city to track their movements. Thalia, post some hunters to set up traps in all major routes, and potential campsites." Percy ordered. For the occupants, that did not Percy before the war were slightly unnerved by the cold serious tone he was using, but for everyone else, it was still jarring to imagine this was the same Percy that loved to lie on the beach munching on blue cookies.

"Denver is your location still hidden in the mountains" Percy spoke up after Thalia, Nico, and the Sanctuary leader relayed their orders to the subordinate.

One woman looked up and nodded. "Those mountain spirits are giving us a hard time but we're quickly disposing of them before they could run home to daddy"

"Just in case, Chris send some troops as well just in case more dangerous monsters appear," Percy ordered. Both people mentioned nodded their heads while the leader of Denver sanctuary said her thanks.

Percy picked up another paper and began to read it while the council talked amongst themselves. "If I am reading this correctly water supply in Somalia is extremely low. How is this possible? I just refilled the lakes, and your supplies a couple of months ago"

A large African man wearing a white abaya (Muslim men clothing) stood up nervously "Asalaam Alaikum Perseus, but weeks ago Apollo has driven the sun closer to our lands. We are using more of our water supplies on agriculture, and our people are thirsty" Percy remained silent. This could be a trap for to be exposed to Athena. While he knew Apollo wouldn't want to hurt him, his father and uncle instructed him to keep his cover no matter what. Apollo wasn't the most trusted god on Olympus due to children being with the enemy, so he had to do what he must just to keep his cover.

"Lady Aphrodite" Percy called. Aphrodite walked forward and stood beside Percy. "Do you mind helping this gentlemen problem." Aphrodite just nodded. She still hasn't recovered from the massacre of her children decades ago, and the fact that love has become endangered in today's world have changed her greatly. Even her appearance changed. Gone were the frilly expensive dresses, and perfume, now what she wore was a dark red tunic with black drapes with her armor on. Her bow attached to her back.

"No disrespect to you sir, and to you ma'am, but she just a love goddess, how could she help?" he asked

"Aphrodite is a child of the sea. She has just as much control as I did before everything happened." Percy explained leaving no room for arguments.

"Now is there anything else sanctuary related?" Percy asked out loud, but nobody spoke up so Percy picked up another batch of paper and began to read it.

"Alright onto other businesses, Ivan what is the situation in Russia," Percy asked.

A large man with a with a large fur coat that hung off his shoulders stood up "Our plans are on hold at the moment. Ares son Phobos have taken up resident at the winter palace along with hundred of demigods, and monsters. We still don't know what they are planning and the new batch of monsters is making it impossible." he explained with a thick Russian accent.

"Then have Sanctuary Russia assisted you," Jason said.

Another large man stood up quickly and slammed his hand on the table. "No! I will not risk my men and the safety of our people on a fool's errand," he shouted.

"Fools Errand?! This is for our freedom! Bah, I don't need this coward watching our back"

"Coward?! Eto ne to, chto vasha mat'... (That's not what your mother...)"

"Enough!" Percy yelled over him knowing where he was going with that insult. "Now Sergei weren't you complaining about having undermanned supply runs, and who was it that offered men to help, at the cost of two of their own." this shut them both up. "Now send a squad to assist them and if you still believe it's a fool's errand contact me."

For the next couple of hours, Percy heard all of the reports from all over the world and the state of the few loyal minor gods' domains. "Now if there isn't anything else you're all dismissed. Please enjoy your stay in Atlantis. See you all tomorrow." Percy said, and right away everyone except for the guardians, Hermes, and a few selected demigods, and minor gods left.

Percy groaned and gripped his face "I really hate this job"

"Yeah. No wonder my dad always acted like an ass." Jason said with a chuckle moving to a seat closer to Percy.

"Remind me why I'm doing this again"

"Because you own the place, unless you want to make me a princess." Thalia joked.

"Anyways, what's the status of the Elder Gods" Percy asked everyone. After each of the gods left after giving the guardianship to the demigods, they made their way to a place where their domain was the strongest. Zeus was located in a temple on top of Mount Everest, Hades was in his palace, Hestia was in a cabin somewhere in the woods in Europe, Poseidon was in a cavern under Atlantis, Hera was at Madras, India where one of the biggest weddings in history took place, and Demeter was in Europe under one of the first farms in history. This, of course, made meetings like these a near impossibility because everyone was constantly traveling.

"Everything alright on my end" Jason spoke up and the rest parroted what he said.

"I think my father might be coming sooner rather than later. His wounds are almost healed and sadly his domain has become stronger over the last couple of decade." Nico said.

Percy sighed. He knew what Nico meant about that. "How's the underworld?"

"Alright considering my half-sister and brother are plotting to kill me with Atlas, and my stepmother wants nothing to do with me. Thanatos have been a great help" Nico reported.

Chiron comes up to Percy with three more folders full of more paperwork, in which Percy groans again. he opens one of them up and flips through it while the rest of the room talked amongst themselves.

"Lelantos" Percy called out. A man wearing a large white cloak concealing his features, hovered to Perseus.

"Yes Perseus" Lelantos answered.

"Have you found any clues on the minor gods?" Percy asked the Titan. Lelantos is the Titan of air and the hunter's skill of stalking prey. He was a huge ally of Percy father is the early days after Poseidon protected Leto, his sister, from sea monsters during her pregnancy. He had a skill of being one with the air and invisible to everyone, and finding anyone in the world. Percy assigned him the job to spy on the New-Olympians during their meetings and to find the missing minor gods that have not been accounted for since the beginning of the war.

Half his body was invisible and as he got closer to Percy, the air became colder. "Not yet, the προδότης (traitor) seem to have found a way to instantly transfer the minor gods across the world every time I get close."

"Janus" Percy growled.

"I suspect so" Lelantos confirmed "By the time I find them, they are transported once again, restarting the process"

"Alright, keep at it. I'm sure you'll find a pattern. Consult with Bellona children and the loyal Athena children to help" Percy said. Lelantos nodded and slowly became fully invisible. "So what else is new?" Percy asked the room.

"A bunch of monster nests are popping up rapidly near Alaska. Both Thalia's and my group has been trying to crush them before they get too much, but it's like playing waka mole. Hermes thinks that a Titan has taken up residence there and is expanding their territory." Jason reported.

"I've been meaning to ask Lelantos to help figure out who. Perhaps another time. The Olympians are obviously building a sizable force up north to what end I don't know." Hermes spoke up.

"Perhaps a large strike against known Sanctuaries. The north has been very useful to us since the start of this war" Leo offered.

"Maybe, just in case send some hunters and spies in the area to observe, and pull out for now. No need to waste resources." Percy ordered. Thalia nodded and whispered to a young girl close to her, who ran out of the room.

"So Percy when will you come out with us lowly subordinate huh?" Leo asked.

"When the mission is complete. Until then I'll have to make sure this little rebellion of our doesn't fall apart" Percy said leaning back.

"Do you still even know how to fight? I bet a new recruit could kick your ass by now" Thalia joked. The occupants of the room chuckled.

"Hey! I'm not that rusty to lose to anyone that is trained by Jason. A breeze would be too much for them" Percy retorted making everyone laugh.

"Alright, alright that enough Percy here have more work to do" Chiron interjected causing everyone to sober up and listen. "You should all take a rest, tomorrow is another long day"

One by one they all left but just before Katie left she looked at Percy "Seriously Percy come with us one day. We're worried about you being cooped up here for the past years." Without waiting for a response she left.

Percy sighed and rubbed his eyes. "They're right you know. You must get out of here Perseus. Seclusion and inaction are not healthy for a demigod." Chiron said.

Percy stood up and walked toward a large window overlooking the city of Atlantis. It changed a lot since Percy began his rule. The edge of the city expanded filled with modern buildings which housed refugee's and soldiers. With the help of Leo, Percy created a permanent air bubble around these districts for human and demigods to live comfortably. This, of course, did not go that well the residents of Atlantis but their trust and respect for Percy were unwavering. Percy personally didn't think he deserved it.

"People living in seclusion is not a new concept Chiron." Percy retorted.

"Yes but I've seen what happens to Demigods at the end of their rope. With no hope or ambition. It slowly destroys them like cancer." Chiron said standing next to Percy, looking over the city with sad eyes." The curse of the demigods. To never have peace."

"I won't be caught off guard again Chiron. From here I am in control. No gods with hidden agenda, no one to rely on. " Percy said in serious tone. He glared at his reflection.

"All alone" Chiron said to himself He then cleared his throat and looked at Percy. "Perseus I need you to do a favor for me."

"Anything Chiron. But I can't guarantee better pillows for your horse ass" Percy chuckled going back to his throne.

"I have a friend in New York whose been essential for the New York rebels. I believe she has information which will be extremely vital." Chiron said pulling out a file out of his satchel.

Percy looked at tentatively and took it "What's so important about him?"

"She's a master spy and saboteur and because of her effort she caused Olympus to move to Washington" Chiron explained.

Percy whistled as he studied the file "This girl is hardcore. If she worked with us we could take New York by year-end. I'm surprised Nico never mentioned her."

"She can only be found if she wants to"

"So, what do you want me to do? Send someone to extract her and bring her here." Percy offered.

"No, I need you to get her," Chiron stated seriously.

Percy sighed and put the file down "Chiron if this some scheme to get me out-"

"She will only talk to the Hero of Olympus, and the bane of New Olympus. No one else" Chiron interrupted.

"Well isn't that mysterious. The leader of a rebellion to meet with some morally questionable women in the most dangerous city in the world. That isn't suspicion at all" Percy responded sarcastically.

"Percy, please. Trust me on this." Chiron pleaded, using Percy preferred name,

Percy sighed and thought to himself in silence. He looked up at Chiron and asked: "What's her name?"

"She seems to have gotten the name Styx, the oathbreaker" Chiron informed him, relief in his voice.

Percy stood up from his throne and made his way to the large chamber doors. "I can't believe I'm doing this" Percy muttered pushing the large doors. Behind the door was the grand hall where many soldiers, rebel leaders, Guardians, and Sanctuary leader spoke to each other.

Percy briskly walked past them, gathering the attention of his fellow guardians. They followed him to a windowed sky bridge connecting the great hall to a neighboring tower which held the war room.

"Hermes!" Percy summoned.

The god instantly materialized next to Percy in a flash "You called"

"Inform our allies that tomorrow meeting has been postponed until further notice. Leo if that you making that clanking noise behind me increase guard in the residential building. Set up a room for a guest and plant as many bugs as you can. Then when you are done that contact Tyson to increase guard around the city and double watch duty," Percy ordered pushing another set of large door, entering the war room where a large hologram of earth hovered above a table at the center of the room. Courtesy of Leo boredom on creativity.

"Um, ok? What's going on?" Leo asked.

"Yeah, Percy what happening? Did something go wrong?" Rachel asked concerned.

"Just covering my bases," Percy answered making his friends more confused. "Chiron talked to your contact and tell them to meet me Central park in an hour" Chiron nodded and left to find something to make a rainbow.

"Wait, you're going to New York!? Are you crazy!?" Nico exclaimed.

"I have some business to attend to that could be useful to us. Nico, you're my ride over there. Jason, give me an overview of New York." Percy asked while typing on a keyboard. The hologram then started to change into a street map of the central park and its surrounding area.

"The only thing we have was some reports from Grover contacts five years ago. The Olympians have abandoned New York because of some unconfirmed reports of someone breaking in and causing mayhem. Even though Olympus is gone New York is still one of the main staging areas in North America. Monster capital. I think I heard a rumor that Ares just went on a rampage a few days ago." Jason reported.

"This just prove going there is suicide, Percy. I know we joke about you getting out more, but this is a bit extreme." Rachel argued.

"This is important guys. Chiron believes whoever is in New York will be a huge asset for us. Gods know we need that now." Percy said ending the argument.

"Well whatever this is, just don't die on us and be careful" Rachel said and with that, she left with Jason and Leo in tow.

"When are we leaving?" Nico asked.

"Now I need to get a lay of the land and make sure there aren't any traps on the other side."

Nico held his arm out "Hope you haven't forgotten the feeling Perce."

"Oh, how can I not," Percy said. He grabbed onto his arm and everything went black.

New York 7th Street

"Gods, I still hate that!" Percy exclaimed while stumbling out of a wall into an empty street.

"You know I learned to enjoy it. It's kinda like an adrenaline rush from skydiving" Nico remarked looking at the destroyed city. "Wow". The city looked like a set of an apocalyptic movie. Complete with abandoned military booths toppled buildings and destroyed cars.

"Yeah. Dammit, Nico, we're near Time square" Percy said staring at a fallen street sign.

"Yeah, sorry Perce. There's some sort of magical interference around the city, It was either here or the sewers outside the city." Nico said.

"Alright, I'll head out and explore. You head back and I'll call if I need help. We don't need two guardians in this death traps."

"Ok, if you sure about this," Nico responded uncertainly. "Oh wait I forgot" he suddenly put his hand into the shadow of his cloak and took out a small notebook and pen, and handed it over to Percy.

"What's this for?"

"We barely know anything about New York. Gather as many notes as possible on whose in charge, their forces, etc" Nico said before with one last smile he ran into a shadow leaving the city.

Percy looked around "Back home again eh" Looking toward Time Square, Percy decided to check out what happened to the tourist trap. As he walked Percy could not help but reminisce the days after everything went to shit and the last time he was here.

When Percy first got his position of Guardian he instantly rushed to New York at the behest of his friends. Nothing on earth would stop him from saving his family. Sadly by the time he arrived monster remains littered the floor with his pregnant mother crying over the body of his Stepfather with a sword next to her. Percy promised her that he will find out who sent it and make them pay.

Percy was pushed out of his memories as he turned a corner and saw dozens of people coming out of buildings, rushing toward Time Square.

A little boy ran past Percy but before he could get too far, Percy grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back.

"Hey! Get off man!" the kid yelled.

"Alright, calm down. Just tell me one thing. What's going on?" Percy asked keeping a firm grasp on the kid shoulder.

"Lord Ares caught the 'Oathbreaker'. Her execution is now." the kids said excitedly before wiggling out of Percy's hand and continued to his destination.

"Of course something went wrong" Percy muttered to himself and took off running toward Time Square. After a few minutes, Percy found a large crowd surrounding a stage at the center of the street. Ares stood next to a hooded figure with their arms bound by rope. The crowd went wild as Ares stroke the flame of hatred and bloodlust.

"This is what happen when you go against Olympus, against the safety of the people, and against me!" Ares shouted waving his fist above his head.

Percy put his hood on and took Riptide out, and slowly wade through the crowd moving toward the execution stand.

"Well look at here. Looks like we have a friend of hers. Guards apprehend him!" Ares shouted from up above. The crowd moved away from Percy as the Olympian honor guards began surrounding him. They wore large white Olympian armor accented by celestial bronze designs. Percy has only seen theses a few time whenever he visited Olympus. They used to belong to the first demigod warriors right after the era of peace have begun during Olympus reign. Something about some mindless drone wearing them rubbed Percy the wrong way.

One of the guard to attempted to grab Percy from behind, but Percy spun around and kicked him in the chest causing him to flail into the crowd. The other guards went to action unsheathing their weapon. One guard strikes first with a spear aimed towards his head, but Percy dodges it and grabbed onto the weapon. With great strength, Percy wrenched the spear out of the soldier hands, spun around and bashed it against their helmet, knocking him out cold.

Percy parried a sword strike from another guard and use the butt of the spear to trip him. Two more guards came from behind. Percy, with the abnormal strength he gained from his guardianship, picked the fallen soldier by the armor and threw him toward the remaining guards. Throwing the spear on the ground, Percy took off running toward the stand. More guards came to intercept, but Percy ducked and weaved away from the swinging swords and grabbing hands.

Finally, he made it and stood in front of the war god, shielding the tied up women.

"Now, who's stupid enough to ruin my fun and challenge me?" Ares said with a large smile, fire burning in his eyes. Slowly he unsheathed his sword and stepped toward Percy. The crowd started cheering for Ares, which herelished. Their bloodlust was empowering him.

"And miss the stupid look on your face when you-"

Ares roared in rage swung his sword at Percy. In a flash, a sword intercepted his strike with a resounding clang. Everyone in the crowd went silent in shock.

Ares looked down at the bronze sword with shock written on his face.

"-do that" Percy said with a smirk. Ares walked back in confusion.

"Impossible. You should be dead. I saw you die" Ares said through gritted teeth. The last time Percy went on the field it did not go well. Ares attempted to harass a group of Satyr's to give up unclaimed demigods, for them to join the Olympian army. This was at a low point of Percy life. He traveled constantly, saving as many people as possible. Losing a lot of battles and people at the beginning of the war clawed at his mental state for years.

He became more reckless with his actions that it nearly cost him his life when he went up against Ares. If he had waited for his friends to assist him, those demigods wouldn't have been taken, the satyrs would've still been alive, and he wouldn't be floating down a stream with a stab wound.

"You know me, defying the odds, twice before Sunday." Percy joked.

"Well, let me rectify that mistake" Ares growled out before charging once more. Percy readied himself, but before Ares reached within striking distance, a powerful thunder reverberated in the sky.

Ares stopped in his steps with an annoyed look on his face. He looked up at the sky and muttered something, then looked at Percy. "Another time punk." Then he disappeared in a red flash. The crowd slowly started dissipated, confused to why they were angry, and the remaining guards retreated.

Percy looked back at the women stretching his arms. 'Man, I am very rusty. Was about to pull a muscle and my back is killing me'

"No need to thank me, Saving damsels in distress is normal for Prince of my-" Percy mind went blank as he saw a ring attached to a string, resting on the neck of the women. His blood went cold and he had difficulty finding his breath.

"Thank 'Prince' for the assist, but I had it handled." the women said pulling a dagger embedded in the floor. Twisting the dagger in her hand, she cut off the rope and massaged her wrist.

"I did not expect this when I woke up the morning" Percy muttered, looking at the women with wide eyes,

She turned around with a smile on her face "Tell me about. One moment you are having a nice stroll in a park planning a super secret meeting then Bam! Soldiers start jumping out of bushes and trees, then you're up here waiting for an Olympian to cut your throat, then the bane of frigging Olympus saves me! Wow! What a day" she exclaimed loudly laughing at the end. Percy continued to look at her dumbfounded, expecting to wake up from this weird dream. Finally, she took off her hood where stormy gray eyes met Percy's sea green one's.

"It's been awhile Annabeth" Percy said trying, and failing to sound casual.

She looked at him confused "Have we met? I'm sure I would have remembered you, Percy Jackson" she said with a grin.

A/N: And there it is. Man, this story has been nagging me in the back of my head for a long time, but I had no idea what to write. That first paragraph up there I wrote a year ago, then nothing came into my mind right after. I kinda have a small idea where I'm going with this story, but it will be a long wait (not as long as before, don't worry. I just want this story to come out right). Personally I'm not 100% about this chapter, but I think becasue it's mostly filler and I just wanted to release something. Also, Annabeth is back. I'm not making this into some cliche Annabeth betrays story. You might have realized she was a bit OOC in the end, and there's a reason for that and it will fit into the story. Please, Review, Follow, and Favourite. Sorry for the grammar and spelling mistakes. I suck at catching those.

Thank you for reading.
