"My name is Akashi Seijuuro, and I want to express my utmost gratitude"

The chorus of claps dies down as Akashi finished his introduction. The red head then looks at the crowd; on the far left of the first row was Midorima's father. He smiled and bowed at the man, acknowledging him. Right besides Mr. Midorima was his father. He still could not believe up to this point that his father actually told him to go to the ceremony and that he'll be watching. The older Akashi might not be showing is obviously, but Akashi can see the slight curling up of his father's lips. It made him feel that he is loved by his only parent, finally. Of course, Akashi looked in front of him; to Kuroko and Midorima. Well, he's looking at Kuroko more. He showed the bewildered teen one of his rarest smiles and it made Kuroko flinch in his seat.

Akashi then focused his eyes to the general audience, getting their attention.

"Firstly, I would like to thank each and everyone who took the time to accept the story that I proposed to them. Because of all of you, my life has become livelier; with all of the feedbacks and reviews that I'm getting from all of you. And if it weren't for everyone who voted me, I wouldn't be here in front of you. "

Akashi looked at everyone at the briefest moment before bowing down low on the stage. He then stood up and put the microphone to his lips again and began to talk. Kuroko was all the time looking at the red head, still cannot believe the fact that his best friends turned out to just be one person.

"Secondly, everyone knows that I've been through a slump…"

Akashi could hear the disappointed sighs of the audiences and he took some time to look at his father, who, for the briefest time, showed a look of discomfort on his face.

"And I am very sorry. I've had problems during that time; but all are solved now. However, the one that made me gain the motivation again and is my inspiration in writing, is a person so wonderful."

Whispers can be heard within the crowd. But even though the audiences could get really loud despite whispering, Kuroko heard all of it; it did not fail to make his heart beat faster and for his stomach to do weird summersaults. Akashi continued on with his speech.

"If it weren't for that person, I might still be depressed right now; I might still be blindly ignoring my wishes to write and do what is said to be right; I might still be running away from all of you and my responsibilities; I might still be the awful person that I once was."

Akashi directed his focus to Kuroko, who was staring at him with a red face and a gaping mouth. Akashi smiled warmly at him before turning to the audience, which seems to not notice his advances to a person in front.

"Though that person keeps on telling me how my story changed their life, I'm going to tell you now,"

By this time, Akashi's eyes were focused only to Kuroko and the blue head could not look away, even though his brain told him so.

"Your existence changed my life; and it is for the better. Thank you for being born into this world and for saving me from my misery; for being my anchor and for putting me together again. Even though we only converse using electronics, you never failed to cheer me up, with your adorable comments and comforting words."

By the time he's done speaking the last sentence, Akashi chuckled. It startled Kuroko and he can't help but smile himself. Akashi looked at the audience with an apologetic smile on his face.

"I'm sorry if I'm talking too much about my person of interest, but I think this is the only chance that I'll get to tell it to them properly, though indirectly. One last thing…"

Akashi turned to look at the MC and he saw the guy sniffing to his handkerchief. Was he crying?

"Sir, can I tell my one last piece for the night?"

He saw the MC's hand make a thumbs up. He nodded at the MC's direction and to the audience. He took a piece of paper from his breast pocket and looked at Kuroko with immense amount of love that the blue head thinks that he's going to faint.

"'My world was once a blotch of gray;

But you came to my life and made my days;

Your words are my treasure even though I could not hear them;

Your emotions reached me even though I could not feel them;

You are my anchor and I thank you for that;

The pitter patter of rain finally ended with a 'pat';

My life has been livelier ever since;

The once hidden rays of the sun can now be seen;

Thank you for being born into life;

For enduring my bearings in life;

And because of that I undeniably fell;

Into your very being as deep as a well;

I just want you to see;

And I hope the feelings return to me.'"

Akashi breathed out a sigh. Everything that he wants to say are finally out. Even though he has a copy in front of him, his eyes are closed all the time he was saying the poem. He knows it all too well by heart; not because he's the one who made it, but because the feelings it held are genuine. It's not like he's scared of what the people and Kuroko would say if he opened his eyes, he was just reminiscing the happy times he spent with the blue head as Aka Hasami and as himself. Once he finally opened his eyes, that's when he noticed his surroundings. He can hear people sniffing and sobbing. He turned his focus at the audience; most women are crying dramatically and have their handkerchief on their faces while some men are forcing themselves not to cry. But he does not care about the audiences. Almost immediately, Akashi turned his attention to Kuroko, and that's probably the reddest that Akashi has seen the teen.

Kuroko's whole face was burning red. His lips are quivering with the sudden confession the red head had just made in front of so many people. But besides that, Kuroko cannot express what he's feeling right now. His heart is thumping in his chest as if attempting to escape from his ribcage, his head is spinning and he's experiencing a nice wave of headache, his stomach is doing even wilder summersaults than earlier, and his body feel all hot and Kuroko could not make of these feelings inside him all at once. It became worse when Akashi turned to look at him and stared. He cannot pull away from the stare but he wants to. It only made him feel weirder than he already was.

"That is all I want to say. Thank you once again to all of you"

With that Akashi hurriedly left the stage, grabbed Kuroko by the wrist and then dragged the blue head outside through the back door of the establishment.

Akashi Seito was shocked about his son's confession to one person; he does not even know that his son has a person of interest now. He looked worriedly at Midorima and the green head just shook his head at the older Akashi, as if saying that it's all going to be okay. Akashi Seito lets his shoulders relax; he's not going to let his son get hurt again after making up with him just a few days ago. He decided to be a good father and protect his son the best he can.

Akashi ran, dragging Kuroko along with him outside of the building.

"Wait—Akashi-kun!"

Kuroko panted. He was not used to such physical activities such as running too much. Needless to say, he's out of breath right now and the only thing that makes him keep on running was the pull of Akashi to where the red head is directing them to.

Akashi finally halts with a start, making Kuroko's footing be off balance and causing him to fall forward. Before he could even collide with the red head's back, lean arms held him, preventing him from falling. What Kuroko felt next was the same arms wrapping themselves around him and are giving him a tight squeeze as his face was shoved at the red head's chest.

Kuroko was dazed to know what was actually happening, but when it registered into his mind, he can't help but be flustered and tried futile attempts to pry Akashi's hand off him.

"A-Akashi-kun… you c-can let go n-now…"

Kuroko was really out of breath now, but the red head showed no signs of wanting to let go and instead held on tighter to Kuroko's smaller frame.

"A-Akashi-kun, I swear…I c-can't breathe …"

Upon hearing these, Akashi immediately loosens his hold, but he never let go of Kuroko, nor is he saying anything. This worried Kuroko and looked at his side to see Akashi's face, but it was no use since Akashi has his face buried on Kuroko's hair.

"Ummm…Akashi-kun?"

He once again feels the arms around him go tighter, but not as tight as the first one. He heard a sigh from above him and Akashi finally spoke.

"I'm just… I don't know…scared maybe?"

This caused Kuroko to feel confused. He then felt a hand touch the back of his head and run their fingers through his tresses and Kuroko closed his eyes, savoring the feeling of Akashi's hand on his head.

"I'm scared of your reaction for… earlier…"

Kuroko shot his eyes open and at this, he pushed the red head away from him. When Kuroko finally get to see Akashi's face, he suddenly regrets pushing the red head away, for he had this look of hurt and sadness in his eyes.

"I guess that you'd do that…"

The red head stated with a bitter laugh before running his hand through his hair.

"I just want to tell you how I feel and sorry for lying to you; for using Aka Hasami so that I can get to know you more without you suspecting me. That is really horrible of me. Heh, who would even fall for a guy like me huh?"

Akashi gave Kuroko a sad smile and it broke Kuroko's heart to pieces. Since he does not know what to do to get HIS feelings across, he did what his conscience told him to do. He approached the red head and gave him one of his hardest hugs.

Akashi was startled at this. His arms are just by his side, not even attempting to hug the blue head back.

"Kuroko…what-?"

"Idiot Akashi-kun."

Kuroko suddenly said as he buried his face onto Akashi's chest and held the latter tighter. Akashi with a loss for words just stared at Kuroko.

"Who would NOT fall for a guy like you?"

Kuroko said as he raised his head up to look at Akashi's face. If the blue head only has a camera with him now, then he'd be glad to take the bewildered look on Akashi's face.

Akashi's surprised of the comment Kuroko made about him and just became speechless. Kuroko began to speak while still holding him close.

"Everybody has fallen for you Akashi-kun. You're the best bachelor that a person could wish for. Though, I admit you have your moments but those are nothing compared to how much of a nice person you are."

Akashi could not believe his ears, he does not know if this is all just a dream or reality. He just stood there waiting for Kuroko to continue on. And he did.

"You might've lied to me Akashi-kun, but I forgive you. But I can't forgive you for concluding that I do not reciprocate your feelings for me. Because for me… You, Akashi-kun, are my savior, my world and my person of interest."

Akashi stared at the smaller teen wide eyed. His ears picked up what Kuroko said and when his brain registered it, he can't help but have this goofy grin on his face.

"Does that mean, Tetsuya is also interested at me the way I'm interested at you?"

Kuroko picked up how, Akashi suddenly called him by his first name and it made him once again blush.

"Isn't it obvious, Seijuuro?"

Kuroko challenged despite having a very flustered face. Akashi quirked an eyebrow with how Kuroko addressed him. Who knew it felt this right for the right person to call you by your name?

Akashi chuckled. He raised his arms and once again wrapped one around Kuroko while the other hand held Kuroko's face so that it's tilted his way. Both stared at each other's contradicting eyes and before they knew it, their forehead touched, soon followed by their noses touching and finally their lips pressing against each other in a sweet and passionatekiss. Both of their eyes closed for this blissful moment; both of them savoring the unique taste the other has even though both are sure that this definitely won't be their last.
