AN: Hi so it's almost been a month since my last update and I am SO SORRY! I also know that I said I would write a bunch of other stuff after this chapter, like Soumako and Reigisa, but this fanfiction kind of went poof for me and so this will be the last chapter. :-) It was so fun writing this and thank you for all the lovely reviews and for all the favorites. They mean so much to me! Also for this chapter you should listen to SWIM by Fickle Friends before or during reading.
ins heart stopped as he felt Haru's lips, soft and sweet, moving against his own. It was kind of like dancing, sparks flew behind Rin's closed eyes as he ran his tongue over Haru's teeth. He felt a slight tug at the nape of his neck and realized that Harus hands were in his hair, tugging at the loose strands in the back. Rin's heart pounded, it beat in his chest like a runaway train and he never wanted it to stop.
Rin placed his hand on Haru's arm and pulled back from the kiss to take Haru in with new eyes. The sun streamed through the window and even if it had been a fairly quick kiss, Haru's hair was tousled and there was a glint in his eyes that had most definitely not been there before. The light illuminated the soft pink blush on his face and Rin could have cried. Haru was beautiful in every shape of the word.
"I think I love you." Haru mumbled, his voice barely audible.
"I think I love you to." Rin smiled, placing a chaste kiss on Haru's lips he pulled him into a hug. They stayed like this for a while, finding it pleasant enough to just be in eachothers company.
"Should we get up and face the day?"
"Never." Rin sighed and scrunched his nose up, he was never moving from this spot.
"Are you sure?" Haru said and Rin laughed, his sharp teeth on full display.
"Are you sure you like me?" Rin asked, but quickly clamped his mouth shut. He hadn't actually meant to say it, but at this point it seemed like a dream come true for Haru to actually like him back. He had had a crush on Haru for so long it seemed like perhaps this was all just a practical joke or misunderstanding.
"Of course I like you, what do you mean?"
"Sorry, I've just liked you for so long that I'm worried this isn't actually happening."
"It's real I promise, I really really love you."
"Okay well I hope you're prepared to tell me that every day, otherwise I'll start questioning it. I don't want to be rude it's just the way it is."
Haru placed a kiss on the corner of Rins mouth, successfully making him smile. Haru then proceeded to place fairy kisses all along Rins jaw and neck. Successfully making a shiver of pleasure rush through him. Haru then took Rin's hand and intertwined their fingers, kissing Rin's knuckles. This was insane, Haru smiled up at Rin with his sea blue eyes. Rin was going to die. How long had he dreamt about moments like this? Forever? He was tempted to pinch himself just incase he was dreaming.
"So what are we?" Haru asked, a puzzled expression on his face.
"Well it would be nice if I could call you my boyfriend." Rin said with a sheepish grin. Haru smiled at this and nodded, flicking Rin on the nose. Haru then got up and Rin watched him waltz across the room to check his phone.
"It's like 11 pm, we really do need to get up." Haru said, rummaging in his dresser for a shirt. Rin moaned and rolled over, really not enjoying how fast-paced his day was becoming. It had started out lazy and cuddly, now it felt like Haru had quickly switched gears and was forcing him up.
"Here, I'll put on some music." Haru suggested, he put his iPhone in the speaker and scrolled through a few songs before finally selecting one. It rolled out through the house, it's melody careening into the different rooms and unfurling itself into all the corners.
Always teaching me how to be
When your folks are not here to see
You're crashing on the floor with me
But I can't sleep
The song rushed into Rin, it was like someone was filling him with water, it was pulsing around in his head, sloshing and swirling, threatening to spill out his eyes.
And I don't want to know you
From another place we go
I copy everything practical
and for the last time I am sure
Rin watched Haru pull on a plain blue shirt, and then grab the rest of his clothes while heading to the bathroom.
Ooohoo, you are not alone
For the last time, I am sure
You are not alone
For the last time I am sure
Rin sighed with the music and got up. Going through Haru's dresser for something that would fit him. He found a light pink shirt, and he didn't really know why Haru would have one, but whatever it fits him okay.
Hey, I know what to feel when you decide
Hey, Where is the appeal if you don't try
Haru didn't seem to have any nice pants, nothing nothing nothing. Whatever, he put on the pants from yesterday. They were still slightly damp but it didn't matter all that much.
It's your only way to live
Three doors down and one room in
I lose my mind among your things
But I can't swim
Haru stepped out of the bathroom as Rin was trying to shimmy into his pants. He blushed and Haru laughed, shaking his head and walking into the kitchen. Rin hopped into the kitchen while trying to get his foot through the pant leg.
It's the same, it's just like when
I was nine and you were ten
I wish that we could still be friends
Where we move is where we end
Breakfast was cereal for Rin, froot loops to be exact. Haru had mackerel obviously.
Ooohoo, you are not alone
For the last time I am sure
You are not alone
For the last time I am sure
"I got a text from Makoto." Haru looked sideways at Rin, whose heart did something that felt akin to a double back flip.
"I got a text from Sousuke."
Hey, I know what to feel when you decide
Hey, Where is the appeal if you don't try
"I would have never seen it coming, but I'm glad that it happened."
"Did you tell Makoto about us?"
"Yeah I did."
"Good because I told Sousuke."
But I can't swim
Hey, I know what to feel when you decide
Hey, Where is the appeal if you don't try
Rin smiled as he heard those lyrics, they explained what he was feeling right now. He was so glad he hadn't given up on Haru. So, so glad.
