Familiar Fairy
Chapter Forty Two: The Life we Live from Now On
"Last time on Familiar Fairy. As Soulless Void was finally defeated, the guild and I were swarmed with the citizens of Tristania as they were now grateful to us for saving them all. Even so, there was still the matter of dealing with the dark guild. That is where I suggested we go the magic council to decide what should be done with them. Everyone in the guild thought I was out of my mind for suggesting that. Later on upon arriving at the academy, the students rushed to me to say the same things. It was strange hearing them saying all of this praise to me. Even my sister Eleanor hugged me. Well after all of that, we arrived at the headquarters where the magic council resided. I explained to them everything that has happened between Soulless Void and Fairy Tail. Thankfully they will see to the punishment Soulless Void will deserve. Later at that, Henrietta, Agnes and I went to the prison to visit Void himself so Henrietta can at least start over with him. He made it clear he has no intention to do so with her. Void also made an eerie prediction to me but I disregarded. Later in that day, I threw a party as a celebration for our victory. The master had a small talk to my parents about how to be a parent. The master told me to enjoy the party. As I did, I looked around to see the members of Fairy Tail getting along with everyone from the academy. It was there Derf reminded me of the choice I had to make. Either stay here or remain in the guild. As the party ended, I have made my decision. I'm afraid this is the end."
Louise P.O.V
"I'm sorry." Everyone was looking at me confused when I said that. This time I couldn't hold back the tears.
"What are you saying Louise?" My mother asked me.
I turned around to face my mother, my father, my sisters, Principal Osmond, Professor Colbert, and Henrietta. I smiled at all of them. "What I'm saying is that, I wish to continue to be with Fairy Tail." I could see all of their shocked faces. "Truth be told, when I first arrived in Earthland, I wanted to return home. However in my time there, I have learned so much. Much more than what the academy had to offer to me. These people changed my life and now that I am here, I can't think of my life here without them. I know all of you are proud of me now but I feel like I should continue in their world." That's what feels right for me. I turned around to look at the guild and all of them were smiling at me.
I turned back again to look at Henrietta and the rest. They seemed surprised at what I said. I saw my mother walk forward. "Louise…" She looked directly at me. "I refuse to allow you do so." My heart sank when I heard her say that to me. "But…" She had more to say? "That is what I would say if I haven't seen what a truly wonderful person you have become. You're old enough to make your own decisions now." Again my mother astounds me at what she said to me. "If that is what you wish then so be it." She gave me her blessing. I looked at the rest of my family and I can tell they all thought the same. Now the tears were coming out from my eyes.
Henrietta was crying as well. I smiled as I knew what the perfect sendoff would be. "Master, shall we have a proper farewell to everyone here?"
He gave some thought to my idea and nodded. "Very well." We all raised our arms in the air and pointed up. "Members of Fairy Tail! What are the three rules for leaving the guild!?"
That's right. Even though all of them are not part of the guild, they were still part of my life. "The first rule!" All of us said in unison. "You must never reveal sensitive information about Fairy Tail to others for as long as you live!" I can tell everyone was taking in at this site. "The second rule! You must never use former contacts met through your being in the guild for personal gain!" This is what Fairy Tail is. I hope that everyone can see how great these people are.
"And what is the third rule!?"
The tears came out nonstop from me. I can see that some of my family was trying to hold back their tears as well. I decided to finish off. "Though our paths may have diverged, you must continue to live out your life with all your might, you must never consider your life to be something insignificant and you must never forget about your friends for as long as you live." Those are the three rules.
Henrietta was crying now. She ran to me to give one final hug. I hugged her back tightly. This is the last I'll see of her, my family, and everyone else. For now at least. She let go of me and I saw Henrietta smile at me although a little sadly. "Goodbye Louise."
I smiled back at her. "This isn't goodbye. I'll return home someday so please, wait for me." It's true. I will return home but who knows when. I have the means to return but I have the feeling I won't be back for a very long time. Maybe even longer. With everything said, I turned around to look at the guild. "Let's go back." Everyone else turned around to the portal and one by one all of them walked through it.
When it came to Natsu's turn, he turned around to look at everyone behind. "It's been fun meeting you all!" He smiled at all of them and then walked through the door. Now it was only me. I turned around one last time to see everyone. With one final look at everyone, I turned to the portal and walked towards it. However I'm not walking towards a portal. I'm walking towards a future. A future in Earthland and in Fairy Tail and with that, the World Door closed behind me.

Third Person P.O.V
Days past after Louise and Fairy Tail left Halkeginia. Far away from Magnolia, Marolin and Evolin were in front of a forest. Both of them were on one knee and praying in front of carefully placed rocks with a cross looking over it. Both twins looked at it. "Rest in peace Skeeter." Evolin's mind flooded with all the memories she had with her friend. The twins stood up as they were done what they were supposed to do. Evolin turned to her sister. "Shall we?" Her sister nodded and the two started to walk away. While the two were walking, Evolin noticed something was bothering her sister. "Something on your mind Maro?"
Marolin looked at her sister and sighed. "You can say something like that. I've been thinking about something."
The older twin tilted her head in confusion. "What's that? You can tell me."
Evolin's sister looked at the ground. "I'm wondering if should continue being with you."
Evolin stopped walking as did Marolin. "What do you mean by that?"
Before Marolin could answer, she sniffed something in the air. "Something is cooking." She ran to where the smell was.
"Hey Maro! Wait up! What did you mean by that!?" Evolin chased her sister into the woods. "Maro! Where are you going?!" She began to smell something in the air well. "What's that smell? It smells like something is roasting." Both twins arrived where the roasting smell was. "Maro! Tell me what…you…were…" Both of them saw two unlikely people sitting around and eating meat off a roasted boar. These people were Jellal and Meredy who were staring at the twins. Evolin giggled nervously. "Well this is awkward."
After explaining everything to them, Evolin and Marolin sat down and found out some info about them. "Crime Sorcière?" Marolin asked.
Jellal nodded at her. "Yes. We're what you call an independent guild. Our goal is destroy the dark guilds and a wizard called Zeref."
What he said interested Marolin. "Destroy dark guilds huh?" She thought about something quickly. "Do accept anyone in this guild of yours?"
"It depends." Meredy spoke. "It's usually those who wish to make things right of what they did wrong. For now it's just been Jellal and I. There was one more but she…" Meredy couldn't bring herself to say what happened to Ultear.
This was an opportunity Marolin waited for. "If that's the case, I want to join your guild." The two members were surprised to hear that.
Evolin was equally surprised. "Wait what?"
Marolin turned to her sister. "This is exactly what I want to do Evo."
The older twin continued to look at her sister and turned to Jellal and Meredy. "Please excuse us for a moment." The twins left them and found a spot away from their camp so they could have their discussion. "So what was that all about?"
Marolin stared intently at her sister. "This is what I was talking about earlier. I feel like I can't travel with you because of what I've done. We took two different paths in our lives and I regret the one I walked on. This guild, this is the perfect opportunity for me to right the wrongs I've done in my life. It's like I told Void. Beating him was only the start. I have a long way to go and this guild can help."
Evolin sighed as she knew something like would happen. Of course her sister will never let go of what she's done. She smiled. "If that's what you think, go ahead and join them."
Her sister was surprised to hear that. "You're not going to argue?"
She shook her head. "No I'm not. If this is something you have to do then do it."
Marolin couldn't believe what she was hearing from her sister. "Even though you spent all those years looking for me? You're just going to let me go with them?" She wasn't made at Evolin. She was just astonished because she thought Evolin wanted to spend more time with her.
Evolin smiled at her sister. "That's because I was always worried about you. This time, I don't have to worry because now I know you'll be safe and in capable hands. Those two seem like good people and they'll take care of you."
The younger smiled at her sisters words. "Well when you make up your mind, there's no sense of changing it. You have always been like that. If that's what you think, then so be it." She turned around and walked back to the campsite.
Jellal and Meredy saw the twins come back. "Have you made your decision?" Jellal asked.
Marolin nodded. "Yes. I'll join Crime Sorcière." That felt good for her to say.
Meredy smiled at the member and giggled. "Then welcome new member. May we know your name?"
The younger cleared her throat. "My name is Marolin Luster, the diamond dragon slayer. My former guild was a dark guild called Soulless Void and I was given the name Crimson Diamond from them."
Her words caught the interest of her two new guild mates. "Soulless Void?" Jellal asked. He has heard of the guild before but it was quite difficult to find.
Meredy also raised an eyebrow. "You're a dragon slayer?"
Marolin nodded. "Yes and so is my sister in case you were wondering." Jellal didn't have any complaints. Having a dragon slayer in the guild would be a nice addition and make things a bit easier. After everything was said and done, all of them returned to the main road. Evolin was facing her sister knowing this will be the last time she would see Marolin. For now at least. "I guess this is goodbye then huh?"
The older twin shook her head. "It's not." To her sister's surprise, Evolin removed the ribbons from her hair and presented them to the younger sister. "Take them. You were always with me whenever I wore these. This time, I'll always be with you whenever you wear them. That way, we will always be together."
Marolin looked at the ribbons. She knew they were her sister's most prized possession and she was giving them to her. She chuckled and gladly accepted them. Marolin tied them up in her hair and looked like Evolin when she wore them. "How do I look?"
Evolin giggled. "Like me when I wore them." The two continued to look at each other and gave each other a warming hug. "So this is it huh? I was happy to see you again."
Her sister thought the same way. "Yeah. Me too. Thanks for knocking some sense into my head."
The two separated while still holding both of each other's hands. "This isn't a final farewell. I'm sure we'll meet again Marolin."
The younger twin nodded in agreement. "Yeah I'm sure we will." The twins took a final long look at each other. "Goodbye Evo."
Evolin sighed and smiled at her sister. "Goodbye Maro." The two let go of each other and turned away from each other. Evolin closed her eyes. Wind blew past her and the next thing she knew, all three were gone.
The older twin looked at the sky above. "So what are you going to now babe?"
Evolin closed her eyes again and imagined Skeeter standing behind her. "I really don't know."
She heard Skeeter chuckle. "Course you do. I know you better than anyone Evolin. You know what you want to do now."
Evolin laughed weakly. "It's like I said, I could never keep things hidden from you Skeeter." She didn't hear a reply this time. Evolin opened her eyes and she walked in the direction in front of her with a new goal in mind. "Time to start on my own path now."

Fairy Tail opening one ending song
Louise P.O.V
Life at the guild returned to normal at most. Mirajane was still serving, Cana was having her fifth barrel of booze, and Natsu and Gray continued to argue while dishing out poor insults. There are times where I think back how everyone back home is doing. I saw Erza come up to them both. "That's enough out of both you!"
And they started to smile forcefully at her. "Oh come on Erza. We were just joking around. Right buddy?" I heard Gray ask Natsu.
He seemed to agree. "Yep. We were just joking around."
And Erza believed them. "Good. I'm glad to see the both of your getting along." I saw Juvia from behind looking at Gray. Yes it does look like another day at the guild.
"Attention everyone!" We all looked at the master who was on top of the stage. "We have a new member joining the guild." A new member? He turned to the side. "You can come out now."
Imagine everyone's surprised when we all saw Evolin appear with the Fairy Tail symbol on her left shoulder. That and her hair style looked a bit different. She smiled at everyone. "Hey everyone! How's it going!?" She joined the guild!?
I heard Natsu laugh as she walked up to us. "Awesome you joined the guild!"
Happy popped up beside him. "Aye! Welcome to Fairy Tail!"
Wendy was also happy to see her. "I'm so glad you joined."
Charla also smiled. "I must admit I wasn't expecting you to join up with us."
I heard Evolin laugh. "Yep. Ever since I thought of everything we've been through, I kinda figured it would be about time to join and this guild is the only one crazy enough to keep me."
There were some questions about this. "But what about your sister? Where is she?" I heard Lucy ask her.
Again Evolin laughed. "We split up again."
Wendy was confused as was I. "But why? The two of you just got back together."
She smiled at Wendy. "Yes but Marolin wanted to take a different path. I figured it would be the best. Besides I'm not worried about her any more. She joined a guild that has this one guy that had a really cool tattoo going through one of his eyes."
And we all heard Erza spit out her tea. She wasn't the only one surprised. All of us were shocked to that. So Marolin is with them now. Well she was right. Evolin doesn't have to worry about her sister. That still doesn't change the fact she didn't know who that person was. Her face showed it. "What?"
Gray smiled at her. "It's nothing. We'll tell you later."
We heard Evolin laugh. "Ok then. I don't know what the big deal is though." Of course she would say that. I don't blame her for not knowing who Jellal is. She looked everywhere at the guild. "Yep I think I'm going to like it here. Plus…" She instantly grabbed Wendy and hugged her tightly into her breasts. So she's doing that again. "I get to see more of Wendy! Oh you're so cute!"
We all heard Wendy's muffled screams. "H-Hey! Let her go! She needs to breathe!"
Evolin did as what Lucy told her. Wendy gave a large gasp of air. "I thought I was going to suffocate."
Evolin giggled out of embarrassment. "Sorry about that. You're not the only one I'm happy for." She looked at Natsu. "I'll be looking forward to working with you as well Natsu. And metal boy too I guess."
I heard the rebel slam down his drink. "Stop calling me that woman!"
She turned around to him and stuck out her tongue. "Sorry but that's what I'm going to keep on calling you so get used to it!" I can tell the rebel won't be enjoying this. This time Evolin turned to me. "So how have you been Louise? Feeling homesick yet?"
I shook my head at the question. "I'm feeling fine. I think about home every now and them but other than that, I'm good." I sometimes wonder how Henrietta and my family are.
Evolin stretched out her arms. "That's good to hear." She looked at all of us. "I can tell I'm going to have a lot fun with all of you guys." She stood up from her chair to walk over to me and put her arm over my shoulder. "And you and me are going to be a team."
We're what?!
Yes after that, Evolin and I are now a team as strange as that sounds. The next couple of weeks went by fast for us. Strangely enough we did work well together and she was happy that she had money of her own now for completing quests. However she had the same opinion as I about the rent at Fairy Hills. "100,000 jewel? What the hell is this!?"
Of course we had our fair share of getting into trouble like in this one quest where we destroyed part of the town and had to pay with the reward money. Overall she seemed to enjoy the guild as much as I did. There was this even one time where she joined up with Natsu, Wendy, and rebel on a quest. Yeah that went as well as planned. "Do you even know how much the cost is going to be!? Learn some restraint!" The master was mad at all four of them. Natsu was grinning like the idiot he was, Wendy looked at the floor all depressed, the rebel acted like he didn't care and Evolin was laughing hysterically. I say this was a great change. Little did I know, there was change going on outside the guild as well.

Third Person P.O.V
In the Blue Pegasus guild, a familiar hearty laugh could be heard inside the guild. "Please accept this rose as a token for your outstanding beauty!"
The woman laughed and giggled. "Why thank you. You're such a flatterer."
Tango laughed again. "Think nothing of it senorita! I am here to give all the beautiful women the love in the world!" After everything that happened in Soulless Void, Tango decided to turn over a new leaf. He joined the Blue Pegasus Guild and has loved it ever since. The Soulless Void symbol behind his vest was now replaced by the Blue Pegasus guild symbol.
The other members observed him. Hibiki chuckled. "I have to say he's fitting in quite well here."
Ren didn't think as much. "Yeah but he keeps stealing all our clients."
Eve smiled at Tango. "I guess we'll try even harder."
Their teacher Ichiya had his opinions as well. "Men! We will show the new member of guild how talented we truly are!"
All three bowed to him. "Of course teacher!"
The guild master Bob smiled as he polished another cup. "Well he is certainly livening up the place. He'll make a good addition to the guild."
Tango laughed again. "Again I thank you master Bob for accepting me into the guild. I have truly found a place I can belong to!"

Rush grumbled as he placed his hand on his new guild symbol. Like Tango, he left Soulless Void as well to start over. Right now he joined the Lamia Scale guild. The only difference he now wore a red long sleeved vest over his body but still refused to wear a shirt. He was still bitter about how Void treated them like they were nothing but fodder to him. "I've had enough with that guild." He turned to see Lyon walk in. Like Gray, he also didn't like him because he was an ice wizard. "Hey look the popsicle wizard is back."
That comment brought Lyon's attention. "Excuse me? Do you want to repeat that to me again?"
Rush came over to him and stared at him. "I called you a popsicle wizard! You hard of hearing?"
Lyon grinned at him. "Oh? That's tough talk for a guy that lets out a lot of hot air."
"Yeah? Well at least I'm not a third rate snow ball!"
"Better to be a third rate snowball rather than a fool who stirs in his own weak heat!"
The two of them arguing reminded everyone how Natsu and Gray would argue. "Quiet the both of you or I'll spin you both!" The guild master Ooba threatened.
Rush looked at the guild master angrily. "Shut it you old hag!" And that was a mistake on his part. Ooba circled her finger around and Rush began to spin at a fast pace. Despite his attitude, Rush thought this was a lot better than the guild he was in previously.
Jura gave a hearty laugh. "Well I say he's fitting in just fine."
Yuka had other thoughts. "Maybe but does he have to pick a fight with Lyon every time?"
Sherry held up her hands to her cheeks. "Perhaps this is his form of love?"
"What kind of love is that?!" Tobi shouted at her.
Jura looked over at Sherry. "By the way where is Chelia? I don't see her anywhere."
Sherry looked back at the wizard saint. "She went over to Magnolia to visit Wendy." Sherry still had her doubts about her cousin dating Wendy she can't deny the fact their love was absolute and true.
Ooba stopped spinning Rush. "There. I hope you learned you lesson."
All Rush could see was the room spinning. Sure these people may get on his nerves but at least they won't use him like his previous guild master did. Once the spinning stopped, he saw Lyon hold out his hand to him. "Come on get up."
Rush scoffed. "Don't tell me what to do." He gladly took Lyon's hand.

Seza sighed. She was sitting at a table by herself at the new guild she joined. Mermaid Heel was interesting to her as all the members were female. One of them particular did scare a bit and that was Kagura. She traced her finger over her new guild symbol. "Was this really the best choice for me?"
"Hi there!" Seza looked in front to see Millianna sitting in front of her. "You must be the new girl. My name is Millianna. It's a pleasure to meet you." Seza's eyes went wide as she felt like she met this girl before. Millianna tilted her head in confusion. "What's wrong?"
Seza laughed to herself. "It's nothing. You just strike me as familiar."
Millianna giggled. "I do have one of those faces. Hey I can show you around the guild if you want!"
Seza could see the tail swinging happily behind the cat girl. Well what did she have to lose? She smiled at her. "That would be nice. Thank you." Millianna cheered as she took Seza's hand and dragged her out of her seat. Seza smiled at where she was now. "Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought."

Marolin sighed as she was lying on tree branch. The guild symbol from Crime Sorcière replaced the guild symbol of Soulless Void. A lot happened when she joined Jellal and Meredy. She learned that a member of theirs, Ultear left them a letter saying she was thankful for them. She also had the distinct feeling that Meredy had feelings for the woman but that was up for speculation. Also during that time, she was able to fight several dark guilds with them. It felt good to her knowing that she was doing the right thing for once. "Marolin?"
The younger twin lowered her head to see a gray cat wearing a small black and white gothic Lolita outfit. She smiled at her. "Hey Abel. What's up?" Abel was an exceed Marolin rescued some time ago from a pack of monsters. Ever since then, she didn't leave the diamond dragon slayer alone so she ended up in the guild as well. Marolin could tell she was timid but was able to stick to her even when things went a bit hairy.
Abel flew up to where Marolin was. "Are you thinking about something again?"
Marolin smiled at her friend. "Yeah my sister. I'm wondering how she's doing now."
"Do you miss her?" Abel asked.
The younger twin nodded. "Time to time. I'm sure she misses me too."
The exceed smiled at her friend. "Can you tell me more about her?" Abel sat on Marolin's lap.
Marolin didn't have a problem with it. "Sure." Again she was grateful that her sister knocked some sense into her. If Evolin hadn't, Marolin didn't know where she would be. Probably in jail along with Void. Now she was grateful for sister and definitely knew she would see Evolin again someday.

Back in Tristania, the people there were rebuilding their houses. In the castle, Henrietta was signing some forms. While doing so, she thought about what Louise was doing at the moment. Henrietta thought she was happy doing whatever she was doing. She sighed as Agnes brought her a beverage to her desk. She smiled at the knight. "Thank you Agnes."
The knight smiled back at her queen. "You're welcome your highness." She looked out the window to see that the capital is slowly being rebuilt. "It's coming along quite nicely."
Henrietta agreed. "Yes it is. I believe we're return to normal soon." With all that said, Agnes started to head to the door. "Agnes."
The knight stopped in front of the door and looked at her queen. "Yes your highness."
The queen set down her pen and looked at her. "About your feelings for me."
Agnes blushed and looked away. "Forget about it. These are just silly little things. I am more than compliant enough as is standing by your side."
Henrietta giggled and blushed lightly. "I wouldn't mind in the least if you could show me around."
The knight was speechless. It took a few seconds to speak out words. "Are you saying you want to go out on a…a…"
"Date? Why yes of course." The queen answered.
This time Agnes blushed deeply. "But my queen! You're of royalty while I'm just a knight!"
"Agnes." Henrietta stood up and walked over to her knight. "If the stories I have read taught me anything, it's that love can break down all barriers. I cannot think of no one else to be at my side other than you." She was extremely close to Agnes. "So please, do take up my offer." Henrietta kissed Agnes on the cheek. In the next second, Agnes fell down to the floor. The queen didn't expect this kind of reaction. "Agnes? Agnes are you ok?" Truth be told she never felt better.

Louise P.O.V
It was night out without a cloud in site. I was running to the outside of Magnolia forest. Earlier today, Levy said that something amazing was going to happen tonight. We all agreed to meet outside of the forest at ten tonight. I of course was running a tad late. "Oi oi oi! Slow down partner!"
"No can do!" I started to use my new void spell to make up for lost time. I only had a few minutes to spare.
Thankfully I made it in time to see the rest of guild outside. I saw Natsu wave at me. "Hey Louise! Glad you made it!"
I ran up to all them while waving back. "So do we know what's going to happen?"
Lucy shrugged at me. "Still no. I wonder what it could be."
I saw Happy look up and point at the sky. "Hey I saw something."
All of us looked up at the night sky. I saw something bright fall down. Then that something turned into somethings. Countless lights were falling down from the sky. I heard Lucy laugh. "Oh wow. Look at all the shooting stars!" So this is what Levy had planned.
All of us in the guild continued to look at the night sky and enjoyed seeing the countless shooting stars fall down to our world. It was like the night sky was alit with countless lights falling down from the heavens. I heard Derf pop up. "Quite the site wouldn't you say partner?"
I smiled and nodded. "It is indeed." As I continued to look at the shooting stars, I looked back at my first time arriving in this world. I almost found it funny the way I acted back then and compare that to now. I've changed and I have the feeling I will continue to grow stronger in both magic and wellbeing as my time passes in this world. I will return home one day but until then, I'll continue to have many more adventures with the guild I have grown to love. The guild called Fairy Tail. I wonder what will happen next for us. I guess only time can tell but whatever it is, we'll face it head on together.
The End
A/N: Time for the credits. First of all, I would like to thank all of you who have favored, followed, and reviewed this story. Never have I imagined this story would be so damn popular. I would also like to thank those who PMed me about some ideas and calling out my mistakes. Second, NO I do not have any plans for making a sequel so don't even ask. If I was, I would've already thought about how the first few chapters would go when I was three fourths done with the story. Third, I would also like to thank the Fairy Tail Wiki and the Zero no Tsukaima Wiki for most of all the info I needed. I needed. I have had one hell of a time making this story and I'm glad all of you loved it. Now if you excuse me, I have other stories to finish and boy are they are going to be fun too. With that said, thank you and good night.
