E/O Challenge: Wild
Hi guys, I know I haven't been around much lately – sorry about that. Real life has been in the way big time. Hope the following 200 word drabble makes sense.
Trapped
"Easy … easy," I murmured, holding the cup firmly against parched lips. He swallowed eagerly, the water the first he'd tasted in over two days
"S'enough," he croaked, weakly batting my hand away. "You … next."
"I'm okay … I'm not thirsty." I was lying. Truth be told I craved the cool, refreshing liquid as much as my brother but there wasn't much left and he needed it more.
I held the cup to his lips once again but he turned away, stubbornly refusing to drink.
Giving in I lowered his head onto my folded jacket and sat back against the cold, hard rocks.
Dean turned his head towards me then, desperately blinking away fever-sweat. "Sammy … go … get out," he said.
"I'm not leaving you," I stated, matter of fact.
"Look … you need to go … I need you to go." He was practically begging; wild eyes staring at me wanting more than anything to see me stand up; walk away; climb out of this cold, wet cave and find safety.
"Get some rest," I muttered, throwing another log on the fire. "We're going to get out, Dean … I promise you we're going to get out."
