Hey You
Peacefully Phil sleeps
And intently (albeit somewhat creepily) I watch as each of his breaths goes in and out,
The gentle ebb and flow lulling me into a state of tranquility that I have become so accustomed to.
Those times I lay on the floor
Contemplating,
Convincing myself of the aimlessness in which I was living my life,
Slipping deeper and deeper into the void until I was completely consumed
And left with nothing but the thoughts that keep me awake most nights
Why do I exist?
What am I doing with my life?
Where am I going?
A life beyond these fears were unimaginable
But one person changed that.
He smudges the lens,
Blurring all my conceptions of reality,
And creates a picturesque world that I never thought could exist.
Phil's eyes open and they twinkle for me
A calm sea of blue in a world full of uncertainties
My safe harbour.
"Hey you" he mumbles
And just like that, my worries are washed away.
It is only a matter of time before they all come crashing down on me once again
But if I can have a lifetime more of mornings like these
Wrapped in the warm embrace of the only person that can save me
I know everything will be just fine.
A/N: Hey dere! :3 So I tried something a little different this time around! I actually wrote this super late one night last week and it was SO CHEESY :P I had to spend a lot of time editing it and changing lots of things to bring the cheesiness down to a more tolerable level for all of the lactose intolerant people out there like myself (*sigh* why must you hate me dairy products?).
Well anyways, I would just like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this :) Please leave a review to let me know what you think of this style of writing. It was really neat experimenting with something like this, and I think I may even translate it into French for giggles and grins (plus it would be good for me to practice writing in French in general). I also have some ideas for phan one-shots that may come out in the near future, so you might be seeing a bit more of me soon c:
Lots of love and hugs,
Lily :)
