Sera stood in between her father and Thor for the memorial. Odin decided to have a memorial for all those who lost their lives today- citizens, warriors, and travelers. Sera stood emotionless watching the bodies of those found floating over the waterfall. It angered the girl how beautiful the night was on such a sad event. She wanted it to rain, she wanted the sky to weep. Anything besides a beautiful clear sky and a cool easy breeze. So many bodies. Sera watched families weep, cry and scream over their now destroyed and broken families. 'I have broken families just like my father has, we truly are not different. ' Warriors even shed tears for their fallen friends. This will forever be a terrible day in Asgard. Frigga stood next to Odin, looking the weakest Sera has ever seen her. The burns on her were prominent and you can see them on her neck, hands, and probably the rest of her body, however, the healers promise they will heal with their medicines in years. There will probably be scars, these things always leave a scar. Magni stood on the right of the Allfather, behind Thor. Feelings of anger and hate were flooding out of him. He wished to be more like his father, to save the day and fight like a true warrior. How he wished he saved this day and made his father proud. Sif and the Warriors Three were on the opposite side, paying respects to fallen friends and fallen families. Their faces were so sunken and sad. What Sera would do to trade her life for all of theirs, for Hal's.
She could not shed a tear during the funerals. She could not get herself to meet another's gaze, not even Hal's family. She never realized that he was a spitting image of his father. She felt so much shame run through her body. She should just tell everyone here it is her fault, have them decide her fate but she was too scared. She hated herself for still being that small scared girl back on Midgard. All her training has changed nothing about her, nothing at all. She felt a consoling hand on her back, the cold touch gave away that it was her father. He truly did not know what he was doing, or how to console. She shook his hand off of her, not wanting to feel anything even against her skin. She wanted to feel empty. She never wanted to forget this either. She never wanted to forget what she has caused, and the feeling she will feel for eternity. Half of her wanted to end it now, but the other half needed to know. She needed to know what wants her so bad it would kill for her.
It was late when the memorial ended, but Sera was still standing there, Loki by her side. They were the only two left. Her legs ached but she could not move, she could not leave. She could not say goodbye. They did not even get a chance to mend their friendship, to fix what was broken. She had no chance to apologize if she treated him ill or thank him for the times he gave her. The endless hours he devoted listening to her talk, spend time with her, and enjoy each other's presence replayed in her mind. A part of her wished she could be in love with him, even after his death because he was deserving of it. She hated herself for everything she was, and everything she feels.
Sera started to scream out of angry, picking up the flower pots and throwing them to the ground. She screamed on top of her lungs, dropping to her knees and finally feeling tears fall. Loki let her get it out, sitting next to her as she cried. A word did not escape him as she sobbed, pounding her fists against the , she sat back her eyes never leaving the water. Loki was still there, staring out at the water with her. "I was a fool for not being in love with him." She spoke out to him, the first words she said to anyone all day. "If I had just loved him-"
"But you did not love him," Loki answered. His response seemed cold, but he did not intend it to be. A loss at any age is struggling and Loki wanted her to feel free from this already. Loki never let himself endure much into loss, he tries to think that it shall be everyone's time eventually. He only holds a handful of people above that mindset. "You cannot change how you feel no matter what guilt tries to deceive you into."
"I wish he did not suffer such a fate." She whispered, not arguing his words. If he was alive, Sera would not be wishing to be in love with him. "I wish it was me instead." Loki did not say anything, letting her grieve. "His death will not be in vain, we will make them pay. "
"Interrogation starts tomorrow." He spoke, the cool breeze pushing past them evenly. How they were so similar in this moment. Loki remembered finding out that his wife had passed, so many mixed feelings that day. When he thinks about it, he never properly mourned her or had gotten over her truly. Adelia is always in the back of his mind and when he wakes from his nightmares it is her he wished was consoling him, even after the damage she has caused. How he wished she never became what she was.
"Would you be here no matter what?" The words slipped from her lips. She was scared to have no one, especially once they know they wanted her. Loki looked at her as if she had three heads.
"Of course."
"Even if I do something stupid?"
"Of course," Loki spoke, staring at her. She knew he wanted to know what was going on in her head but she could not tell him. She could not tell anyone in fear for their life. "Do not let guilt cloud you. There was nothing you could have done, dear daughter." Yes, there was.
"Prince Loki!" A guard called, walking towards the two. "You are needed, the council is awaiting."
"Duty calls," Sera spoke. Loki looked unsure what to do. "You can go I shall be fine." Loki nodded, heading out leaving her be.
Once she was alone, she finally stood and decided to clean her mess. it was not much and it did not take long. The day of the battle replayed in her head a million times, and the house. Her mother's house. Sera stood quickly, heading on her way. 'It all ends tonight.'
The streets were pretty empty in Asgard, all mourning and deciding to rest for the night. She has never seen the realm so quiet and still. The ruined buildings and broken homes hurt the princess but she persisted- she had to know. The old styled home was directly in front of her, with no lights and no visible person in the home. It had an aged yellow on the outside and looked as if it was due for repair. Sera pulled the metallic knob but it would not open. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes, wavering her hand over the knob. Her blue magic shown through her hand as she heard a 'Click.' Sera pushed open the door, closing it behind her and turned on the lights. The house looked cold. YOu could see obvious cobwebs in certain spots, indicating no one has been here for a while. The house was small, made for only two people. Sera wondered if her mother and Loki lived here or would come here for a time to time. Sera walked to the backrooms, seeing a deep blue colored bedroom. Walking in she started searching through everything, through every book paper and picture. She was making quite the mess. Sera stopped and stared at the baby picture- her baby picture. How happy she looked.
But that's when she found it, her mother's notes.
Dear Seraphina,
If you are reading this then my visions have served true and you are alive and well. Oh, how I wish to be there with you, loving you and showing you the world. Forgive me for the horrors you had to endure, it was the only way to ensure your safety. To ensure you will live. My sweet girl, there are a million things I want to say to you but I cannot. Everything in my vision has to go exactly as planned to ensure the safety of you and Asgard-
"What are you doing here?" The strange voice made the teenager scream in fear ice accidentally coming out of her hand aiming towards the voice. A pink light protected the woman and stepped forward. Fine lines showed she was much older, but her rich blonde hair and kind eyes reminded her of her mother. She is the old woman in the memory, her mother's memory. The woman was built strong, but there was something about her. The old woman looked at her with wide eyes, and mouth slightly open. "Oh Vahalla, you are here." Her voice was smooth and she smelled like honey.
"I apologize for breaking in-"
"She told me you would come." A smile broke from her lips, followed by a chuckle. Sera stood there strong, unsure of what to do- she was almost prepared to fight. "Sera, come sit! Let us eat and talk, I brought some food." Sera followed the strange older woman into the small and cramped kitchen. The older woman had such a grace about her, she looked so happy to see her. She took off her coat, revealing a light purple dress with a white waistline. Her sunkissed skin almost shone due to the complexion of colors. The color of her brown eyes reminded Sera of mountain terrain and nature, something subtle, but beautiful in every form and season. "Your mother was not expected to have the gift of sight, but she always saw you. I thought she was wrong- no one was able to go so far with those stones- Oh what a fool to doubt her! She told me to come tonight and I almost did not! I heard what happened and thought it was best to just leave Asgard but I listened. Oh thank you Norns! I have been wanting to meet you since I heard you came to Asgard! You are truly a beauty." She rambled fast, making it hard for Sera to keep up with her. Sera felt a soothing feeling wash over her as she listened to her talk. "Loki would never want me to see you."
"I am sorry, do I know you?" Sera asked, eying her funny.
"I am your uhm..grandmother! " She spoke, quickly setting a plate for the princess and herself. She started stirring ingredients into a pot, her hands had pink coming from them indicating her powers were in use for cooking. Sera never saw someone use magic for something so mundane. "Oh, how my heart is full of joy by the sight of such beauty. How are you fairing? I heard what happened, I am so sorry. Adelia told me you will be close to the boy who will pass in there. He is in a better place now."
"How did she know this?"
"Your mother would use her magic and almost every painite gem she could find." She spoke as if she is trying to remember something. "She was doing the impossible for you. It is a sorcerer's dream to use to painite gem to see. Those gems pick favorites you see? They have as a mind of their own. They typically are deadly hence why it is such a risk however if your mother and your father wielded the gems you can as well. They read you." She watched her nameless grandmother work around the kitchen, occasionally looking at her so affectionately. "I have so much to tell you and give you. Here have some stew."
"What did she see? " Sera asked, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"You got that trait from your mother. Always nervously pushing her hair around." The older woman stared at her and instantly snapped out of it. "I am sorry I had to say everything perfect."
"I am sorry, but I am confused-"
"Your mother told me what to tell you years ago, I memorized it every other day but seeing you and hearing your voice it is so hard to "
"Please what are you talking about?" Sera questioned annoyingly.
"Ah impatient, that trait is from your father." She commented. "Here let us talk ."
Hey guys in need of help!
So for the villain of this story, I had an idea years ago (before all of the movies that are out now) so now I am unsure to chose a villain. I have a second in mind but I would have to change his origin story because if I don't then bio relations are about to get weird LOL. Would you guys rather that ( a changed origin story) or the more basic villain I first had in mind in like 2015?
Let me know! I am really gonna struggle posting without some of your opinions to help me. I haven't done this in a while and I really want to give you guys a really good story. Love yous!
Please R&R would love all your ideas for this story and possibly the other!
