It had been a decade since Morgan had seen Lucina.

Although her memories had never truly returned, she still remember her sister. Lucina was an image set in stark relief, permanently a part of Morgan's memories. Yet she had not thought likewise: after all, her absence from their shared court was still a sore spot. Morgan's heart grieved daily, whether she was ruling he kingdom or alone in her study.

"You have a guest, my lord," an attendant said. Morgan looked up and nodded, gaze focusing. She had to remain strong, even though she was still so young.

"I'll see them." The attendant nodded at the response and motioned towards the door.

A figure shrouded in a thick cloak stumbled in, trailing rain from outside. They stank of musk and although Morgan couldn't see their full figure, they shuffled with a noticeable limp. Morgan forced herself up straighter, arms crossed in her lap, back rigid. "Good evening. You approach the court?"

The voice came out rough, as if the person swathed in the cloak hadn't spoken in a long time. "Yes, My Lady. I do."

Morgan nodded. "What for?" She was curious. After all, not even the most faithful ventured out in such rain.

"I am here for the sister of the former Queen." The words stung Morgan, biting into the open wound in her heart, nearly bringing her to tears.

"She is not former, but I'll here your request nonetheless." She waved the cloaked figure forward. It moved with an uneven shuffle.

Abruptly, the figure pitched forward and the hood of the cloak fell back, revealing choppy navy locks. Patches of hair were missing in large plugs, revealing a smooth, pink scalp. An attendant raced to the person's side, but not before a set of murky blue eyes, one filled with the symbol of the Exalt, connected to Morgan's.

"Sister," she began, jumping from the throne. Her chest felt tight, like it would implode at any moment. She practically tumbled down the stairs in excitement, arms open. "You've returned."

Lucina nodded, lips cracked and bleeding. She managed a smile, and leaned against Morgan. "How… How can I ever ask forgiveness? I am amazed you even remember me, sister."

Morgan nodded, wrapping her arms around her sister. She had returned, albeit broken, yet her wounds could be healed. She couldn't even be mad at her. Rather, she turned to her, eyes shining with joy.

"Your Majesty, did you believe I could forget you?"
