***Chapter 26***

Kagome's mind and body froze while she looked at where Krillin used to be it was like her mind couldn't understand what had happened. Her cousin wasn't supposed to die none of them were supposed to die. She had watched people die over the years when she was in the past and knew things happened in this time Vegeta was dead and she couldn't take it. But, Krillin was family he wasn't ever supposed to go he was supposed to go with Piccolo and Gohan to get Bulma and get off the planet. But instead he was gone right before their eyes.

Kagome knew she needed to do something but all she could see was Krillin's face and hear him crying out for help then Frieza laughing she didn't even notice Goku's power spiking or his hair flashing from black to blonde till he yelled and it went fully blonde.

"Gohan listen to me you have to take Kagome and Piccolo and get off this planet right now." Goku said making Kagome come out of her thoughts even as Gohan couldn't move till Goku yelled at him.

"This is the last time I am going to tell you, get out of here right now Gohan!" Goku yelled before turning and looking at Frieza.

Gohan looked at his father before looking toward Kagome and he wanted her to say something like telling him not to run away. But, when he looked at her face she moved toward him and smiled at him gently like she always did that made him happy but even at a young age he could see the sadness in her eyes and knew his mother was in pain.

"Gohan sweetie do what your father is saying get Piccolo and get back to the ship and get away from here." She said while gently pushing him toward Piccolo.

"But, what about you mom? You need to come with me, dad said you needed to come too." Gohan asked while moving toward Piccolo but not looking away from her.

"I am going to stay and help your father, now Gohan go and go quickly we will be behind you don't worry." Kagome said as she watched him move Piccolo's arm before raising them both up into the air and heading toward the ship his father came in.

"Only I get to decided when it is time to leave." Frieza said while raising a hand and aiming at Gohan and Piccolo.

Kagome didn't wait she jumped up and placed herself between Gohan and Piccolo even as Goku moved and grabbed Frieza's hand stopping the attack.

"You just don't know when stop. Enough is enough. Frist Vegeta, then Piccolo, and now Krillin my best friend." Goku said while tightening his hold making Frieza try to pull away while flinching because Goku was hurting him.

"You don't care, I can see that. Their lives mean nothing to you even now all you can think about is a way to destroy me." Goku said before Frieza started powering up before Frieza pulled away holding his hand while looking at Goku in slight horror.

"How? How did you get this incapable power? Don't tell me? It's true isn't it!?" Frieza cried out while looking at Goku and moving his hand trying to get the pain out of it.

"NO MORE! No more." Goku said while powering up, "NOW YOU WILL KNOW THE HORROR..FRIEZA!" Goku said before attacking Frieza by punching him before appearing and grabbing him and kneeing him in the back and then throwing him to the ground.

Kagome watched her heart still heavy as she tried to hold the tears in she could still hear Krillin's voice in her head as she watched Goku hovered over the hole before Frieza blasted his way out of it, and water shot into the air before he floated up. Kagome floated into the air and watched as they stared at each other before Frieza spoke.

"Why do you loathe what I have done so much? Saiyans are just as ruthless as I am. They were killers all of them and you gall to condemn what I have done. You and your blood thirsty race."

"They paid for their mistakes." Goku said.

"Is that why they died? I thought it was because I killed them." He said while chuckling.

"You are just a beast with no conscience" Goku said before Frieza started laughing.

"So I am a beast huh? What about you mister super Saiyan you're just like me. So the jurys still out on that one let's give it a little more time." Frieza said while Goku smirked at him before they both moved through the mist before Frieza started launching attacks at Goku.

Kagome's eyes widened when she saw that Goku wasn't blocking the attacks and when the smoke cleared Frieza finally saw that Goku wasn't effected. She could see the shock and horror on Frieza's face before he started powering up again and launching as many attacks as he could at Goku before again the smoke cleared and showed the Goku wasn't effected before he spoke.

"Your evil deeds are like a noose around your neck." He said while Frieza smirked at him before Goku launched a blast toward him knocking him back before he started attacking Frieza. Kagome noticed that this battle was one sided now Goku was toying with Frieza as he blocked and dodged Frieza punches and kicks. Before Frieza launched away from Goku and landed while Goku did the same.

Kagome couldn't believe that this was Goku since she had met Goku he was a cheerful person and only serious when it called for it seeing him like this was different. She was pulled from her thoughts when Frieza launched an energy attack and Goku moved to the side shocking Frieza that he moved that quickly.

"WHAT HOW CAN HE DODGE AT THIS RANGE!?" Frieza yelled before firing attack after attack trying to hit Goku. When the smoke cleared Goku floated up into the air and looked at Frieza who was shaking in shock as he saw that he didn't hit him.

"It can't be. HEY WHY CAN'T I HIT YOU? JUST TELL ME!" Frieza yelled while Goku smirked and answered him.

"You didn't say please."

"P..Please….FINE PLEASE!" Frieza yelled while launching another attack and Kagome gasped as it hit Goku right in the middle of his forehead but his head only tilted back before he raised his head back up and looked at Frieza.

"You can destroy planets but you can't destroy what I am friend." Goku told him while staring him as Frieza's whole body shook in fear when he started to realize that there was someone stronger than him.

"You!? What? What are you?" Freiza asked in fear.

"I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am the protector innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. ALLY TO GOOD NIGHTMARE TO YOU!" Goku said and Kagome understood what Goku was meaning but she couldn't help but think what he said was a little bit corny.

Before she could do anything Goku turned his head a little bit and looked at her from the corner of his eye.

"Kagome I understand you want to help but I need you to go to Gohan and the others if something goes wrong they will need you." Goku said while looking back at Frieza.

"G..Goku I can't leave you, you might need me."

Goku stared at Frieza and he felt his heart swell a little at Kagome willing to stay by his side till the end but he needed her away and knew the others would need her more. He sent a silent pray that he would make it out of this alive he knew he would kill Frieza but even he didn't know if he would make it our alive and he wanted Kagome, Gohan and the others off this planet and safely heading home.

"Kagome I understand but right now we both know Gohan and the others need you more. If something goes wrong Gohan will need one of us so please understand and go to them." Goku said knowing only she could hear him. He wanted nothing more than to pull her close to him and hold her but now wasn't the time and they would hopefully have their moment later but for now he wanted her safe and away from the battle.

Kagome knew and understood why Goku was telling her to leave the battlefield he didn't know if he would make it out alive and he wanted her safe and away with Gohan. As much as she wanted to stay Kagome knew that Gohan would need her.

"Goku you better make it out of this alive or I will find a way to get to you in the afterlife and beat you for leaving." Kagome said before floating away before turning and heading toward the others.

Goku smiled and knew in his heart that Kagome wasn't lying she would find a way to beat him and he knew he needed to make it out of this alive. Gohan needed him and Kagome would be waiting on him it gave him more of a reason to live. He was pulled from his thoughts when Frieza spoke.

"Bah, super Saiyan so out of a whole barrel of monkeys one finally made good. Vegeta he was sure he was the one. Hahaha. When he was boy that legend was his only comfort. He was so sure he was the one he tried so hard and failed. What a joke he thought he was a jewel but he was only a dirt clod." He said while smirking at Goku trying to get a rise out of him but he noticed nothing he was saying had an effect on the Saiyan in front of him.

As Frieza saw that nothing was working he was becoming angry and he noticed that the woman was flying away from them and knew that she and the others were is means to getting to the monkey.

"It's over your finished." Goku said as he powered up.

"How dare you. Me finished? No one dares say that to me I reign supreme of all." Frieza said as he started to power up.

"Ka…ma…" Goku said while powering up.

Kagome flew quickly but she could feel them powering up and could feel that this planet was going to end up being the price as much as she hated the thought of leaving Goku to fight alone she knew Gohan, Piccolo, and Bulma would need her. She was split in two she knew she was needed if something happened to Goku Gohan would need someone his biological mother already gave him up she couldn't leave him alone. Plus Piccolo needed medical attention and even when they got Bulma she didn't have the training to really help Piccolo she had basic medical training but not enough to help him make it back to earth. But, the other side the warrior in her cried out to return to the battle not to lose another person close to her heart she bite back a cry she wanted to help Goku but she knew she was needed else were.

Pushing herself she followed Gohan's aura and since he was carrying Piccolo she knew she would catch up to him soon. Looking down she saw that the water was churning even this far away from the two it was effecting the planet. She paused when she felt the power increase and sent out her aura and noticed the shock in Goku's and noticed that the planet was shaking and moved toward the ground and spread her powers into the ground as she Felt Frieza hit it.

Giving a cry she pushed her power hard into the ground and placed a barrier around the core of the planet and gave a gasp it wouldn't hold long but it would hold long enough to get Gohan, Piccolo, and Bulma and hopefully Goku off the planet before the planet is destroyed. She needed a way to speak to Goku and thought hard and then it hit her.

"KING KAI!" Kagome cried out in her mind she needed him to hear her so he could tell Goku about the barrier they didn't have long. Pushing herself of the ground she felt for Gohan and noticed he was moving and figured he was going toward Bulma since she didn't feel Piccolo with him. Blasting off quickly while still yelling in her mind for King Kai.

"KING KAI PLEASE ANSWER ME I NEED YOU!"

"KAGOME!? THE PLANET IS STILL THERE?" The sound of his voice in her mind gave her relief that she hadn't felt since she had been on this planet.

"YES, THE PLANET IS STILL HERE BUT NOT FOR LONG FREIZA FIRED A BLAST TOWARD THE CORE I PLACED A BARRIER AROUND IT TO HOPEFULLY HOLD IT OFF FOR AS LONG AS I CAN. I NEED YOU TO SPEAK TO GOKU TELL HIM ABOUT THE BARRIER HE DOESN'T HAVE LONG I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG I CAN HOLD IT MAYBE FIVE MINUTES A LITTLE LONGER OR LESS. BUT TELL HIM TO HURRY I AM GETTING GOHAN AND BULMA AND WE ARE GOING TO THE SHIP." Kagome said before pushing herself harder as she headed toward Bulma she would meet Gohan there and get them both and get to the ship and get ready to blast off.

Goku couldn't believe that Frieza would sink so low too destroy a planet just to win didn't he care about his own life. He was quickly pulled from his thoughts' when he heard King Kai's voice.

"GOKU YOU NEED TO HURRY! KAGOME HAS PLACED A BARRIER AROUND THE CORE OF THE PLANET BUT SHE CAN'T HOLD IT FOR LONG YOU HAVE ROUGHLY FIVE MINUTES SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW LONG BUT FIVE MINUETS IS A CLOSE AS SHE CAN GET. NOW HURRY!"

Goku was happy that Kagome was helping even away from the battle she was trying to protect others and he was thankful for the time that she was giving him. He soon looked at Frieza when he spoke.

"Darn I held back to much power." Frieza sounded a little upset that he destroy the planet. Goku wasn't going to tell Frieza that Kagome had placed a barrier around the core because he knew that either way the planet would be destroyed and decided to play dumb.

"So you couldn't do it. You couldn't go through with it after all. I don't blame you destroying both of us just to make sure I don't win isn't the way to fight. It's just another way of giving up" Goku said.

"You still don't get it do you? I didn't plan on destroying myself just you and this planet. I can breathe in space and you can't if the planet is destroyed it means there is no more air for you to live on and I will be victorious. Five minutes that's how long you have till the core is destroyed." Frieza said feeling smug that he thinks he has won.

"Five minutes that is all I need. It want take that long to beat you and leave with my friends on my spaceship."

"You underestimate me. The true depth of my power escapes you it is time for you to experience the ultimate Frieza. Yes a very rare occurrence indeed. One hundred percent of my true power you never had a chance to beat me. IT'S OVER!"

"Can your body handle that stress from the power? I don't think it can but it doesn't matter I am not going to give you the time you need to power up. THIS BATTLE ENDS RIGHT NOW!" Goku said while powering up and rushing toward Frieza who did the same and moved toward Goku.

Kagome gave a shudder as she felt the two powers and noticed that they had paused in fighting and she felt Frieza's power raising and felt that Goku wasn't stopping him.

"Goku what are you doing you need to end this." Kagome said aloud while she moved and saw Gohan grab Bulma before she fell moving toward them Kagome got beside them and grabbed Bulma.

"Gohan sweetie I have her we need to go and I need you to push it back to the ship. Bulma hold on we have to move and move now."

"MOM! KAGOME!" Gohan and Bulma said as Bulma latched onto Kagome for dear life and they blasted off Kagome noticed that Gohan was pushing himself but they needed to go. Reaching out she grabbed him and held him close.

"Gohan hold on to me." She said as she held them both close to her and released more power and blasting across the land. It didn't take long to see the ship and she knew they needed to get everything ready because she had a feeling they wouldn't have much longer. She could feel the barrier and it was still holding but it wouldn't for much longer. Before they landed Kagome spoke to Bulma and Gohan.

"Bulma as soon as we get on the ship get the thing ready we don't have much time left. Gohan I need to help me get Piccolo somewhere, where I can work on him."

"BUT, MOM WHAT ABOUT DAD?" Gohan asked while worrying about his dad with everything that was going on, on the planet he couldn't feel anything really or get a pin point on his dad.

"Gohan, you dad is fighting Frieza and he is going to try and make it to us but we have to be ready. I can feel him and Frieza they are still fighting and as much as it would kill me to leave him I have to think about you three and your father knows that." Kagome said while looking him in the eyes and letting him see the pain it caused her to think about leaving his father.

As the landed Kagome pushed Bulma toward the controls once they were in the ship and moved toward Piccolo. He was breathing but he had lost blood and was in pain, one thing she could at least be thankful for is Piccolo could control his body and was use to taking damage so she didn't have to worry about him going into shock like a normal person would have.

Once they got Piccolo onto the bed Kagome looked at Gohan and gave him a smile before glancing over and seeing Bulma moving about the control panel she knew that Bulma had that taken care of. Looking back toward Piccolo she placed a hand over his wound and let her power go through him and healed the wound before pushing her powers throughout his body to get his body to make more blood and replenish what he had lost.

Once she was sure that he was fine she stood back up and smiled at Gohan before moving toward a window and spread her senses out and felt Goku still fighting Frieza. The barrier wouldn't hold up much longer before she could say anything the ground shook making the ship move and Bulma started panic.

"Kagome are you there?" King Kai said to her startling her from her thoughts.

"I am here King Kai what is going on? Did you tell Goku about the barrier? It isn't going to hold on much longer." Kagome asked while looking up and closing her eyes.

"Yes, I have told Goku but the problem is he wants to beat Frieza while he is at full strength. He thinks beating him like that will make sure Frieza doesn't come back. Besides that I have something important to tell you Kami has Popo gathering the dragon balls and is going to wish everyone killed by Frieza back to life which will bring Guru back so that we can use the dragon there as well." Kagome's eyes opened wide at what he was telling her, but it didn't make sense Guru wasn't killed by Frieza.

"King Kai, Guru wasn't killed by Frieza so the wish won't work it would be a waste of a wish because without him the dragon balls here are gone just like with Piccolo and Kami." Kagome said while looking back out the window and watched the lightening in the distance and knowing it was Goku and Frieza fighting along with actually lightening.

"No Guru dead of a broken heart from having all his people and children killed so it was Frieza's fault for his death and it will work." King Kai said and Kagome hoped deep down that he was right for all of their sacks she prayed he was right.
