A/N: I am so sorry I haven't updated! But I think this chapter came out pretty well and I spent a while revising it so please don't hate me!

Disclaimer: I am not Veronica Roth or Suzanne Collins so I don't own the Divergent or THG world.

Katniss POV

It's breakfast on the day before the interviews and all of us sit at the table, quietly eating our breakfast.

I soon drain the cup of orange juice just as Haymitch begins to talk.

"So, do either of you have any preferences for allies?" He asks.

"Yeah, maybe we could–" Peeta begins just to be interrupted by Haymitch.

"Thanks Peeta, but you're not the problem," he says before looking at me, "She is."

After a while of arguing I finally give in and tell them who I could consider as allies.

"I want Mags." I state plainly, earning me unbelieving looks. "And Wiress and Beetee."

"Johanna calls them Nuts and Volts." Peeta murmurs in disbelief.

"I'll tell them you're still thinking." Haymitch says with a sigh as he turns to get up.

"Wait," Peeta says suddenly, "I have another idea for an ally."

"And who is this amazing person that she" Haymitch shoots me a glare at she, "Is going to to agree of being allies with?"

These words make Peeta's previously confident attitude fade away. "Well I was thinking—I mean we don't have to—but we could—you know, become allies with the tribute from Dauntless, Four."

We sit in silence for a few seconds before Haymitch speaks again, "You mean one of the newbies."

"Um—well—yeah," Peeta decides on his words with a bit more confidence. "After all, he did score an 11 and I've seen him in training with a knife and he's really good. And he seems trust worthy enough that he'll help us out and not murder us while we're asleep."

Haymitch thinks about it for a few seconds before sighing and saying, "What do you think, Sweetheart?"

I think for a few seconds on Peeta's proposition. I hadn't thought much about the Dauntless tribute with the menacing presence who, although only a few inches taller than me, had an aura that made him seem like he towers over everyone else. I had seen him quietly working at the stations in training, help out some of the other faction tributes, and his accuracy with a knife. He barely talked, although once we did work together in silence on building a shelter only once speaking to bid me goodbye. I don't know anything about him. How could I trust him with my life, and more importantly: Peeta's?

Peeta seems to sense my hesitation and adds "but he'll probably want to work with his faction partner."

Four's faction partner.

The small girl with long blonde hair and grey-blue eyes.

Tris Prior.

The only time I had actually talked to her was on the first day of training. Thinking back, I may have been a bit harsh but I don't like talking about the games with people, especially people I don't know.

"I'll on be allies with him if Tris is allied with us too." I announce suddenly. "And I still want Mags. And Beetee and Wiress."

Haymitch sighs, thinking over my words at he rubs his chin. "Hmm. The girl who scored an eight, right?" I nod and he continues, "It could work, after all usually only careers get eights." He stops and looks at me. I can see his mind working, analyzing what he knows about her. "I'll go notify their mentor."

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to the 75th Hunger Games!" Caesar Flickerman out to the audience on the screen where I watch the interviews until it's my turn. The crowd responds with enormous applause and I scowl at the antics. "This Year we will be starting with the Faction Tributes then move on to our Victor Tributes. For this will be the time for us to meet these new comers and reemit our old Victors and, in the, end, we will say good bye to all but one."

The crowd roars once again and after a few moments Caesar continues, "First, from Abnegation, we have Susan Black!" The camera shifts and follows the girl, Susan as she sits down next to Caesar. Susan has blonde hair that is pulled into a bun and her dress is a simple grey. Caesar tries to ask her questions but she answers with few words and after their time is up not much was found out about her. The same happens for her male counterpart, Sean Anderson.

From Amity, it's pretty boring but the Woman speaks beautifully and with great grace. Her words about wanting to bring peace might have attracted a few sponsors who were moved by her words. The boy from Amity, Robert Black, does pretty well, by cracking a few jokes.

From Erudite the girl, Cara, does well speaking and gaining the attention of the audience with her intelligence. The boy, Matthew also does well but not as well as Cara. But both probably gained the attention of sponsors from their wit and intelligence.

From Candor, the girl from Candor does mediocre, answering the questions with long responses. The boy, Isaac, though, says a bit to much of the truth, asking how an event can be so inhumane.

Finally from Dauntless comes the girl that caught my attention. "Ladies and Gentlemen, let's give a round of applause for Tris Prior from Dauntless!"

The crowd roars as the camera focuses on her. She wears her hair loose and a red dress with small black embroidery of black flowers. She looks breath taking, like your eyes instantly look at her.

She takes a seat and Caesar begins to ask his questions. "So, tell me, Tris, were you born in Dauntless or did you transfer?" Caesar had asked a few people this, but mostly only to the most popular tributes.

"As a matter of fact, I did." She says a bit nervously. She seems to glance at something or someone on the side of the stage which seems to give her confidence. "I was originally born into Abnegation."

"You were?" He asks, surprised, as I am too. She seems so fierce and outspoken, so unlike the Abnegation tributes. "So what made you choose Dauntless?"

She seems to be thinking carefully of what she wants to her answer to be. "Well, apart from my aptitude test results, ever since I was little I had always admired the Dauntless. They were so free and brave to me. So when the time came to choose, I went with what my heart told me."

"And it turned out well didn't it?" Caesar says more than asks with a smile. The irony, since she is now a tribute for the Hunger Games. "I hear you came first in your Dauntless invitation class. Tell me about that."

"Well without going into to much detail, we had to do physical and mental training. So, like shooting guns, throwing knives, hand-to-hand combat, and learning to face our fears. I especially liked the throwing knives part." She says it as though it's some sort of inside joke.

Caesar smiles at her. "And did you miss your family when you left for Dauntless? And left for the Hunger Games?"

Her eyes widen slightly, but she quickly composes herself. Quietly, she says, "Both my parents are dead."

"Oh," Caesar answer sadly, or, trying to be sad, "I'm sorry. Do you have any sibling?"

She clears her throat at though he siblings are a topic she does not want to discuss. "I have one brother named Caleb. He transferred to Erudite." She simply leaves it at that and a few moments later her interview is over. Her explanation about her initiation surely attracted many sponsor, making it clear her abilities.

She soon leaves the stage and Caesar announces the next Tribute. "From our other half of Dauntless we have Tobias Eaton!"

Tobias—Four—walks out into the stage in a black suit with a red flower. As they sit down, Four's deep voice corrects Caesar. "I prefer to go by Four."

"Four," Caesar replies, testing out the name, "What an interesting name! Why do you like to be called that?"

"Well," Four begins slowly, "Back in my initiation, we had to go through our Fear Landscape where we face our worst fears. Most people have ten to fifteen fears but I only had—have— four fears, the record for any Dauntless."

Caesar raises his eyebrows, clearly impressed. I suddenly wonder what it's like, having only four fears. "That is impressive! Could you share some of them?"

"Well," Four thinks it over before answering, "I am willing to share two of them." Caesar nods for him to continue. "One is the fear of small spaces. Another is the fear of heights."

"Interesting!" Caesar replies. They continue with the questions. Towards the end of the interview Caesar says, "Now for our last question, I have heard rumors that you were planning on leaving Dauntless. What made you change your mind?"

Four chuckles slightly, "You have extremely good sources." The crowd laughs and I can see Four think over the question. "I was planning on leaving after I trained the next batch of initiates, but when I started training them, something happened."

"And what was that?" Caesar prods, and the audience seems intrigued, as am I.

"Well there was one initiate, and she stood out to me. She wasn't like the rest. She was different, and I saw part of myself in her. I wanted to leave but I fell in love with her and I couldn't bring myself to do it."

Caesar smiles lightly and I am suddenly reminded of last year, when Peeta confessed his love for me. "And what is this girl's name?" Caesar asks.

Four sighs before answering, "Tris Prior."

My eyes widen. Where they trying to get more sponsors or was this genuinely the truth. I knew in that moment that if we were to be allies I would need to figure out the truth.
