Earth...Fire...Air...Water. When I was a boy, my father-Avatar Aang-told me the story of how he and his friends heroically ended the Hundred Year War. Avatar Aang, Fire Lord Zuko, Kamen Rider Soul, and SentaiSoul transformed the Fire Nation colonies into the United Republic of Nations. A society where benders and non-benders from all over the world could live and thrive together in peace and harmony. They named the capitol of this great land Republic City. Avatar Aang accomplished many remarkable things in his life. But sadly, his time in this world came to an end. SentaiSoul and Kamen Rider Soul would still live on, yet hidden away. And like the cycle of the seasons the cycle of the Avatar and his defenders began anew.
Book 1: Air
Chapter 4: The Spirit of Competition
At the Pro-bending Arena, a determined looking Korra handled a water blob to calm herself down. She split it in two, and rapidly launched each smaller water bullet in a different direction. Bolin raised his right arm in front of him, an earth disk following the motion and hovering in front of his face. As the water blob Korra launched at him struck the disk, he was shoved slightly backwards by the impact. Mako, who moved back and twisted around, vaporized the incoming blob with a fire arc. He immediately retaliated with two fire punches. In the side, however, Takeshi and Mai-Lin were sharing a drink while watching the three, Takeshi's wolf letting out a bark of cheering.
Bolin's earth disk got pulverized by Mako's fire attack. Korra aimed another rapid water blast at Mako, who jumped over it, while Bolin launched an earth disk at Korra, forcing her to shield herself with water from a nearby tank. Mako fired a blast at each of his team mates, which both of them block with their respective element. A second fire blast hit Bolin square in the stomach making him fly backward. As he is fell down, he raised and launched the last earth disk. Korra directed a water blob away from her, but got knocked back with a grunt as the earth disk plants itself in her stomach. Korra's water attack hit Mako straight in the face, flinging him to the ground several meters from where he was standing. As they all sat up they began to laugh. Mako as he stood up and took off his helmet, resting his left hand on his hip.
"It's been great having you at so many back-to-back practices, Korra," Mako noted with a small smile.
"Yep. Besides we got a tournament to fight tonight!" Korra replied with an upbeat tone.
"Okay, come on, team huddle time,"
The team excluding Takeshi and Mai-Lin huddled together.
"It's our first match of the tournament tonight. I know the three of us haven't been a team for very long, but even so, the Fire Ferrets have never been this good. Are we ready?"
"We're ready!" the two agreed.
At that moment, Asami walked in the practice room, "Not quite. You'll need these," she informed as she held up a shirt with the Future Industries logo on it, Light following her with a small cart.
"Hey Asami," Mako said walking up to her.
"Hey sweetie," Asami said back.
Korra just gave an annoyed look at the two.
"Looks like trouble in paradise," Mai-lin whispered to Takeshi.
"Oh you don't know," Takeshi leaned in and whispered something into the Pinkett's ear.
For every second he was there, Mai-Lin's face became redder and redder and her eyes grew wider and wider. After a moment, he drew back.
"You're kidding...right?" she asked with a nervous smile, but Takeshi smiled and shook his head. "Ohhh...nice," she continued as images appeared in her head, making her blush even more.
"Mom!" Bolin beamed.
"Hey, kiddos!" Light greeted before waving to Takeshi and Mai-Lin, "Good to see you two again!"
"Hi, Aunt Light," Mai-Lin greeted.
"Officer Light," Takeshi nodded.
"Maa, maa. Call me 'Light' or 'Aunty,' Take-chan," Light waved her hand flippantly.
"These new uniforms look great." Mako said as he pressed the shirt onto his chest.
"You look great, champ!" Asami said with a smile.
Mako and Asami then did an 'Eskimo kiss'. Bolin looked with a "Really?" expression, while Korra showed her disgust, but quickly acted normal when Mako turned to the two. Light shook her head, amusement clear in her eyes.
"Well, teammates, I'll see you before the match tonight. Asami and I have a lunch date," Mako said before leaving.
"Okay, we'll check you guys later, you know, we'll see you when we see ya," Bolin said waving as the two disappeared.
"Remember to wear a condom~!" Light teased, making Mako nearly fall over in embarrassment and Asami nearly trip, a large blush forming on her face.
Light and Bolin began to laugh as the two recovered and left. Korra picked up her bag as Takeshi got up himself. Mai-Lin...was still in her blushing state.
"So, Korra. There they go, here we are, all alone in the gym, just you and me, two alone people," he said not paying any attention to Takeshi, Light, or Mai-Lin.
"Ah, I gotta head back to the air temple to train with Tenzin. See ya!" she said before she and Takeshi walked out.
Bolin looked disappointed about his failed attempt to pick a date with Korra while Mai-lin just looked at the floor with her face glowing red.
"Those...two...together...? Oh...my..."
"Work with me here, Pabu! You wanna look spic and span in your new uniform, don't you?" Bolin asked/begged as Pabu struggled to avoid getting into the Pabu-sized bathtub Light had Metalbended for the Fire Ferret years back.
"Mom..." Mako warned in the kitchen.
"Oh come on. Just a little bit of dango? I had a hard day at the station yesterday," Light begged.
"The doctor said that you can't keep eating Dango every single day," Mako frowned.
"Aw phooey," Light pouted as she left and sat down before Bolin, "Here." she grabbed Pabu and shoved him into the water, "You should've just went with him, Pabu."
"So...what do you think of Korra, in a 'girlfriend' sort of way, Mom?" Bolin asked.
"Hmm...I think she's a closet lesbian," Light shrugged.
"C-Closet Lesbian?!" Bolin gawked, "Korra?!"
"Yeah. Then again, she might still be deciding her preference. Me? You already know that I'm a lesbian and damn proud of it," Light grinned before adopting a stern, motherly look, "Bolin, you and Mako have been the greatest thing that has ever come into my life and I don't want you to be hurt. I want you to wait until after this tournament before asking Korra to be your girlfriend. Plus, I think that Takeshi is dating her."
"Huh?!"
"I have to agree with mom on this, Bolin. I think Korra is with Takeshi," Mako informed as he walked in with three bowls of red bean soup.
"Bro, you're nuts! Korra and I are perfect for each other: she's strong, I'm strong; she's fun, I'm fun; she's beautiful, I'm gorgeous!"
"..." Mako frowned at Light.
"...What?" Light asked.
"Okay, I don't care what you think, Mako. I'm gonna ask Korra out."
"Look, it just isn't smart to date a teammate, especially during the tournament," Mako advised, "Keep your head out of the clouds and your priorities straight, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, I know, gah," he said before looking at Pabu. "You know what I'm talking about, Pabu, I'm talking about real love."
Pabu looked at Bolin confused. He then hiccuped a bubble. He sniffed it before popping the bubble. Light shook her head with a sigh.
"Okay, you two. Your grandpa finally agreed with me on something," Light informed.
"Huh?" the two looked at her.
"Tomorrow, you're training Korra and Takeshi in Haki," Light smirked, "And you're allowed to use the first type tonight. No Kenbusou Haki, Bolin."
"Why are "you pointing me out?"
"Thanksgiving last year," Light and Mako stated together.
"..." Bolin blushed and looked at his knees, "...I said I was sorry."
"So, how's it going with the tall, dreamy firebender boy? You've been spending a lot of time together lately," Jinora teased as the four girls fed the flying lemurs of the island.
" Oooh, yeah! Tell us all about the magical romance!" Ikki begged/demanded.
Mai-Lin blushed heavilly, recalling what she learned about Korra, 'She's like that...Oh my.'
"What?" Korra blinked before she laughed, "Listen to you two, I-I'm not interested in Mako or any romantic stuff." she coughed into her fist, "Besides he's all into that prissy, beautiful, elegant, rich girl ... but let's just pretend for a second I am interested in him. What would I do?"
"Ooh! I just read a historical saga where the heroine fell in love with the enemy general's son, who's supposed to marry the princess. You should do what she did!" Jinora noted.
"Uh...Jinora..." Mai-Lin began.
"Tell me!" Korra demanded in excitement.
" She rode a dragon into battle and burned down the entire country," Jinora informed before Korra began to frown at the unrealistic idea as Mai-Lin held back a laugh, "Then she jumped into a volcano. It was so romantic!"
" Uhh..."
"No, no, no!" Ikki exclaimed, "The best way to win a boy's heart is to brew a love potion of rainbows and sunsets that makes true lovers sprout wings and fly into a magical castle in the sky, where they get married and eat clouds with spoons and use stars as ice cubes in their moonlight punch. Forever and ever and ever!"
" ..." Korra turned to Mai-Lin, "The volcano is starting to make more sense to me now." laughter behind them made the four turn to see Pema walking along the path towards them, "Oh, hey Pema. Uh, how long were you standing there?"
" Long enough," Pema winked.
'Translation: 'I've been here the whole time,'' Mai-Lin thought with a sweatdrop.
"But trust me, I know what you're going through. Years ago I was in the exact the same situation, with Tenzin," Pema continued,
"Daddy was in love with someone else before you?"
" That's right," Pema replied.
" So what did you do?" Korra asked.
" Well, for the longest time, I did nothing. I was so shy and scared of rejection, but watching my soul mate spend his life with the wrong woman became too painful. So I hung my chin out there and I confessed my love to Tenzin. And the rest is history."
" Wooow!" Korra, Jinora, and Ikki awed.
"A good story, Pema-sama," Mai-Lin complimented.
"Thank you, Mai-Lin," Pema giggled.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Takeshi snapped as he pointed at the boat...that was the size of a small village, "YOU GAVE THE LAVABENDER EARTH?!"
"..." Saito poked his pointer fingers together.
"...Um...Takeshi, he can't bend anymore," Simon informed.
"...Excuse me?" Takeshi looked at his fellow teen.
"This man was the one who killed my godfather Netto," Simon informed, a hand on his fedora as he tilted it to hide his eyes, "In his anger, dad showed him no mercy and actually destroyed all eight chi points in his body, destroying his Bending."
"Y...You can do that?" Takeshi gulped, looking at Saito.
"..." Saito kept poking his pointer fingers together, finding interest solely in that.
Minutes later, the three were soon walking along a dirt path before coming upon a lone house. Saito knocked on it. The door opened, revealing a man with a strong build and long, brown hair. He wore just a green and gold kilt and gold bands on his wrists and ankles.
"It's that time of the quarter, huh?" the man asked before laying eyes on Takeshi, "Ah. The new Rider you talked about last visit."
'He...He feels so broken...' Takeshi thought before noticing the man had said something, "S-Sorry. What did you say?"
"What's your name, kid?"
"Takeshi."
"I meant your name-name."
"...Sentinel. Kamen Rider Sentinel."
The man nodded as he picked up the massive bowl of rice and jug of rice wine, "Make sure you keep guard of that Avatar of yours. I could care less about what happens with her now." he then looked over to where Saito was, looking at a tree, "But be careful of enraging that demon. I didn't and..." he turned his back and Takeshi hissed a bit in shock, seeing the long scar that went all the way up to his head and all the way down into his kilt, "...he did this to me after he tore the arms off my gal and forced her to eat them. Beware the Eternal Dragon, kid, and pray to the Tao Trio that he never enters that state again."
Takeshi shuddered. Unaware to the two, Saito's head lowered as-for a brief instant-he was overshadowed with the image of a humanoid dragon with six wings.
=Folks, after a year of waiting the Pro-bending Championship is finally here. Tonight is the first set of matches in our single elimination sixteen team bracket. And I gotta tell ya, these are the most tenacious and talented bending trios this arena has ever seen= Shiro Shinobi announced =And here, before we start things off, is the founder of Pro-Bending: Alex Kyoshi-Ryder!=
The large display set above the stage changed to show an image of Alex, sitting in her private booth =Howdy y'all. Hope yer ready fer t'night. When Ah made Pro-Bending, it was meant to be a sport to help reintroduce Firebending to the world as something good, not evil. But I also made it as a way to give everyone a great show...=
As Alex talked, Mako, Bolin, and Korra began to get suited up. Mai-Lin stood nearby with Takeshi.
"Okay, you three, this is your first match of the Tournament," Mai-Lin informed, "Your opponents are the Red Sands Rabaroons. They like to lead with their Earthbender and always aim at your feet. Never jump to dodge or you'll get sent over by a disk to the gut. Also, the girl of their team tends to aim below the belt when it comes to male opponents." Bolin, Mako, and Takeshi immediately covered their crotches, "Good. You boys were trained well. Korra, remember that you're only allowed Waterbending."
"I got it, Mai-Lin," Korra rolled her eyes.
"I'm serious, Korra," Mai-Lin frowned, "Bolin, Mako, your mother wanted me to remind you once more that you're allowed to use Haki."
"Hockey? What's that?" Korra asked as Takeshi gawked.
"H-Haki?! You two know Haki?!" Takeshi exclaimed.
"Grandpa taught us when he got hit with a coconut the fifth time since we got adopted by Mom," Bolin shrugged before the two hugged each other, shivering with a far-away look on their faces.
"The cannonballs...The rain of cannonballs..." Mako whispered.
"Not the giant pit...not the giant pit..." Bolin whimpered.
'What did he do to them?' Korra and Takeshi paled.
=And now, without further ado, Ah give you th' Thirtieth Pro-Bending Championship!= Alex declared =Let's give it up for...The Red Sands Rabaroons~!=
Takeshi blinked twice as he heard the song 'Moves Like Jagger' playing as the three Fire Ferrets got up and onto the platform. The crowd cheered as the three Benders made it to the arena and walked onto it, the screens showing an animated rabaroon playing with a cabbage. The screen then turned into a Fire Ferret, blazing with fire.
=And now, give a round of applause for our underdog team; the Future Industries Fire Ferrets~!=
=CAN YOU SMELL~ What the Rock is cookin'?=
'Is...Is that the theme of The Rock?!' Takeshi gawked as the three were taken to the stage by the platform.
"It was Granduncle Saito's idea that all teams get a theme that's randomized for each match," Mai-Lin informed, "Where he got these songs, though..." she shrugged, "No idea."
"I think I know but for now let's enjoy." he said looking out at the play field.
Korra, Mako and Bolin then walked onto the play field, taking in the cries of joy. Korra and Bolin enjoyed the attention while Mako just took no notice. As soon as they where on the bell rang and round one began. As it did a hand covered his mouth and pulled him away once again. Mai looked to her said to see that he disappeared. All she did was sigh as she knew who it was.
"Not again." she moaned. "Ah well. He can take care of himself." Just then, an earth disk hit right beside her, "HEY WATCH WHERE YOU'RE FIRING!" she yelled as Korra threw two water blobs at the female Earthbender.
Takeshi got pinned to a wall inside he fire ferret lockers with the Princess looking at him with her piercing eyes. This time she wore a much more revealing outfit with her cleaving clearly showing. Takeshi gulped as his spine began to stiffen.
"Well now, handsome," she said, stroking his face with a gentle touch. "Let's get to know each other."
Her hand drifted towards his crotch but a hand appeared, stopping her. The princess looked to the owner of the hand to see Xia standing there.
"Let's talk." she said. "Cos I don't mind sharing."
Takeshi wasn't sure what to think about that.
"What an explosive opening volley! Both teams quickly recover and unleash a barrage of bending. I am astonished with the level of improvement displayed here by the Fire Ferrets. No wonder the Avatar has been absent from the papers lately. She's obviously had her nose to the grindstone in the gym. The Ferrets advance into Rabaroo territory and are holding nothing back. Nice sprawl there by Mako. Bolin strikes, Ula dodges, and all three Rabaroos are down. The Fire Ferrets easily take round one!" the announcer called out as they began round two.
"Round two!" the judge called.
"The Rabaroos are looking for payback and they go straight after Bolin. Korra comes to his defence and water-whacks Umi back into zone two! The Ferrets are on fire tonight and they win round two."
"Round three!"
"With the Rabaroos down two rounds, they'll need a knockout to win, and with the way the Fire Ferrets are playing..." the announcer shrugged his shoulder and shook his head, "...I don't see that happening. Muri de (It's impossible). These Ferrets are working together like a well-oiled bending machine. Bolin passes Adi back into zone two and the Ferrets get the green light to advance. The Rabaroos are just fighting to stay at their feet at this point. Out goes Adi, and Ula, and Umi!"
the udge held up a whitefan and aimed it at the Fire Ferrets' side of the stage, "All three rounds go to the Future Industries Fire Ferrets to win the opening match of the tournament!"
The crowd erupted into thunderous applause.
"That's what I'm talking about!" Bolin cheered before turning to the audience, "Thank you, thank you very much! Thank you all, you fans!"
'Bolin, keep doing that and your head will end up backwards.' Mai-Lin thought.
At the Lockers, the Fire Ferrets began to change.
"Wow, we were really connecting out there in that ring." Mako said with a smile on his face.
"Yeah! You know, I feel like the two of us have been connecting really well out of the ring, too." Korra said nervously smiling.
"Uh, sure." he said also nervously.
"So, I was thinking we should spend some time together."
"Oh, we've been spending lots of time together."
"I mean outside of the gym, and not while searching for kidnapped family members or fighting chi blockers and Kajin."
"I don't know. Asami and I have-" he tried to say but Korra interrupted him.
"Look, I really like you and I think we are meant for each other!" Korra then quickly turned around and hid her face with her arm, blushing lightly.
"Korra, I'm really sorry, but I just don't feel the same way about you." he said gently.
"Forget I ever said anything..." she said, going very red.
Just then, Asami walked in with Pabu on her shoulder. "Congratulations, guys! You were so amazing out there." she said kissing Mako on the cheek.
Both Mako and Korra looked at each other awkwardly. The Avatar then took a seat as Bolin sat next to her.
"So, Korra, I was thinking, you and me, we could get some dinner together, sort of a date situation." Bolin said casually.
"Oh, that's really sweet, but I don't think so. I don't feel very date-worthy." she said in an apologetic tone.
"Are you kidding me? You're the smartest, funniest, toughest, buffest, talentedest, incrediblest girl in the world!"
"You really feel that way about me?" she asked chuckling.
"I felt that way since the moment I saw you! Trust me, I know we're gonna have so much fun together."
"You know what? I could use some fun. Okay, sure!" she said changing her mind.
"Yes! Who's the luckiest guy in the world? Right here, Bolin." Bolin yelled in triumph.
Mako watched while holding Asami, but Asami clung onto him and rested her head on his shoulder. Mako still thought about Korra and Bolin. He glanced to see a red and silver thing and an idea came to him. Minutes later, the Garuda Plamonster was off with a note in its beak.
Bolin and Korra where waiting to eat in Narook's Seaweed Noodlery with Naga resting in front of the restaurant. As the two waited there for food Takeshi ans the Fire Nation Princess walked in surprising the two of them.
"Yo Takeshi." Bolin called from his seat.
"Bolin, Korra." he said walking up to the two. "So you two are here on a date."
The two just blushed as Takeshi and the princess took a seat near the window. On the building across from them, Light lowered her bbinoculars.
"Light, I..."
"Shhh!" Light hushed, "Oh, that sneaky little...I told him 'no dating during the tournament' and he breaks that rule with a mountain!"
"Um, Light..."
"Oh, he is so getting the riot act when he comes home!" Light grumbled.
"LIGHT!"
"WHAT?!"
"Why did you tie me up and drag me here?" Tenzin demanded, currently tied up in strong metal wires.
"Because you're not only the guardian for Korra, but Takeshi too, and they're having a double date right now here," Light informed, "As the responsible adults we are..."
"You're responsible?"
*POW*
"...we have the right to invade the privacy of those we are the guardians of and that includes spying on dates and outings," Light continued.
"I got hit!" Tenzin comically cried, his eyes blank with waterfall tears going down his cheeks and his head sporting a bump the size of a kid's toy ball.
"Woman up, Tenzin, Woman up," Light order as she resumed her spying, "Just be thankful I didn't add Kenbunshoku Haki to it."
"I am still doubting that knowledge Takeshi has," Tenzin added.
"Nah. It's true. Even if it's hidden behind a near-real facade, the reaction I got from that hug was proof enough for me," Light shrugged, "Now woman up, hush up, and start keeping an eye on Korra, dammit."
"I'm still tied up here."
*POW*
"I got hit again!"
"So...Fire Nation princess, huh?" Bolin asked, "How'd that happen?"
Takeshi just blushed to a very red color, "Not a conversation to have in public mate."
"So what was your name? I didn't catch it," Korra queried politely.
"Oh, it's Natsuko." Natsuko replied with a very seductive smile.
She then leaned in to Takeshi, resting her head on her shoulder while showing off her cleavage, hoping to arouse him. He tried to avoid eye contact as Bolin tired to cover a nosebleed. The waitress then brought the food and placed it before them. The four then began to tuck in. Bolin just gave Takeshi a jealous look.
"Why do girls flock to you?"
"Because he's cute, handsome and, strong. Not to mention he knows how to treat girls." Natsuko informed, pressing herself against him again.
This time Takeshi took notice. But as he did, he could see something shining outside.
"Okay. Don't look, but I think that Light is watching us." Takeshi said, picking up his chopsticks and began eating.
Bolin just gave him a look as if he were crazy, while underneath the table Takeshi took one of the Canroids out and popped the top before letting it go. The little machine moved off past the crowd.
"So does Xia approve of this?" Korra asked.
"Errr..." Takeshi blushed.
"Oh, she approves but pressed a couple of rules on me and herself." Natsuko replied.
Light continued to watch the four, not taking her eye off them. As she just watched, the Canroid moved up and bit her ass. She yelled out in pain, dropping her binoculars and breaking them. She turned to see the canroaid still holding on to her.
"AHHH! TAKESHI! YOU'RE DEAD!" she yelled as Tenzin sniggered a bit.
*POW*
"Why did I get hit?!" Tenzin demanded.
"AHCHOO! 'sniff'. Ahh, someone's talking about me." Takeshi said with some food hanging from his chin.
Seeing her chance Natsuko leaned in. "If you're feeling unwell, we could leave and go to..." she whispered the last bit in his ear, making him go red.
"Er hha err no thanks. I'm fine."
Korra just shook her head, Natsuko was really shameless. Just then, one of the employees walked up to them and handed each of them their food. With that, they grabbed their chopsticks and began to eat.
"So, how do you like it?" Bolin asked while slurping on noodles.
Before Korra could speak Takeshi let out a jet of fire from his mouth before drowning a drink putting it out.
"Wow that's good." he said before digging in again.
Korra smiled and shook her head again before turning to Bolin. "Hmm, it's delicious and totally authentic! I didn't realize how much I missed Water Tribe grub." she said with her mouth full as well.
"That's great, 'cause this is my favourite joint. See? You love Water Tribe food, I love Water Tribe food, just another reason we are so great together." Bolin said.
"I can see why." Nasuko said, she then locked her lips with Takeshi when he came up.
After leaving he coughed up into his bowl with some noodles coming out. He looked to her who gave him a seductive smile.
"Nice try," he said mixing the noodles in the sauce making the Princes pout.
"They are good noodles! Hey, who's that creepy guy over there who keeps glaring at us?" Korra asked with noodles still in her mouth.
A tall guy wearing dark green clothing stood at the bar. He kept on glancing over at them.
"That's Tahno and the Wolfbats, the reigning champs, three years running. Don't make eye contact." Bolin said.
Korra however didn't listen to him and looked at Tahno. His company of a few girls and his team walked up to them.
"Uh-oh, here he comes. Now don't mess with this guy, he's a nasty dude." he said as ate his noodles being quite intimidated by Tahno.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the Fire Ferrets. Pro-bending's saddest excuse for a team. Tell me, how did a couple of amateurs like you luck your way into the tournament? Especially you, Avatar. You know, if you'd like to learn how a real pro bends, I could give you some private lesson." Tahno said mockingly while one of the girl looked directly at Takeshi with want in her eyes.
"You wanna go toe-to-toe with me, pretty boy? Cos my training is with others then my team." Korra said sanding and in a fighting tone.
Takeshi picked up his noodles and eased Nasuko back a bit. "I wouldn't temped her mate, she can be quite... forceful." Takeshi said.
"Go for it. I'll give you the first shot." he said smiling
"Korra, don't. He's just trying to bait you. If you hit him, we're out of the tournament." Bolin whispered.
Korra whistled and Naga burst through the window, roaring loudly at Tahno. He fell over, but his friends behind him catch him and they walk away. The seen made the four of them laugh out loud.
"Whoa, ho, ho, I've never seen someone harass Tahno like that. You are one of a kind, Korra." he said as she sat back down and their drinks came.
Needing something to wash the noodles down with the four began drinking cocktails with straws. Bolin burps and is ashamed, but Korra notices this and burps even louder, to which Bolin burps again, louder this time, and Korra burps again yet even louder. As she did Takeshi burped even louder then her.
"Oooo excuse me, must be those curry noodles." he said before Natskuo burped louder then him and they start laughing. The couple next to them looks on in horrified disgust.
At the Harmony Tower Korra, Bolin Takeshi and Natsuko, along with many other couples, watching the city by night from the top of the tower. Korra really enjoyed the view, and Bolin enjoys Korra having a good time. A few hours later, Bolin hummed a tune as he opened the door to his house...and was instantly wrapped up in metal wires and hung upside down.
"Bolin," Light scowled.
"Ulp," Bolin gulped.
"What did I say about dating your teammate?"
"But it wasn't a date!" Bolin argued.
"True. It wasn't a regular one, but a double date," Light scowled, "You still went on a date with Korra. Honestly, do you realize that this is a dangerous thing? Don't you remember that Korra happens to have a crush on Mako?"
Mako lowered the newspaper he was reading nearby, "I'm not getting involved in this, Mom."
"Fair enough," Light waved him off, "Bolin, you are grounded. You're forbidden to leave the house outside of training and the tournament."
"What?!" Bolin exclaimed.
"Remember the Family Rules the three of us made together?" Light asked, "Rule 148: 'If the kids break an order/rule given to them by Mommy, Mommy get to make the punishment as she sees fit.' So, you're grounded. One month. No TV, no Radio, nothing fun outside of Pro-Bending."
"But...But..."
"Wanna make it three months?"
"...No," Bolin replied before he was dropped on his bottom.
"Good," Light nodded, "Now get up to bed. You're staying home tomorrow and I will be training you. Full blown Haki training. And I will be using the special knives."
Mako nearly dropped his paper as Bolin paled significantly. Mako did not pity the fool that was his brother. He pitied the afterlife, though, of the chances of Bolin going there early.
"Hello? ...Is anyone out there?" Tenzin asked, still tied up on the building, "...I need to use the bathroom..."
Mako sat in front of the arena, a look of sadness on his face. When he had left in the morning to avoid the training, he could hear Bolin's cries and his foster mom's mad cackles intermingled with explosions. Korra walked up to him, making him stand up.
"Remember, Korra; I cannot help you out in this endeavour," Takeshi's words came to her mind.
"What kind of game are you playing?" Mako demanded.
"Uh...Pro-bending? We've got the quarterfinal match." Korra replied in a confused tone.
"No, I mean with Bolin. You've got him all in a tizzy and I know you're only using him to get back at me."
"I am not. We're just having fun together. What do you care, anyway?"
"I'm looking out for my little brother. I don't want to see his heart get broken."
"Wait a second. ...You're not worried about him, you're jealous! You do have feelings for me."
"What? Jealous? Don't be ridiculous."
"Admit it! You like me!"
"No, I'm with Asami."
"Yeah, but when you're with her you're thinking about me, aren't you?"
"Get over yourself!" Mako snapped angrily.
"I'm just being honest." Korra shrugged while pointing to herself.
"You're crazy!" he barked.
"You're a liar!" she snapped before the two stormed off.
"Hey Mako...oh." a guy said but just watched as they entered the area through different doors, "..." taking out a cell phone, he quickly dialed, "...Yeah." a plume of smoke engulfed the guy, revealing the familiar kitsune wife of Saito's, "Mou, Bo-bo-chan and Korra-chan are grumpy with each other."
"So what's the plan?" Mai-lin asked, earning a sigh from Takeshi.
"I have no idea. She's all love stuck at this point; not to mention that she's got that personality. Ugh. It's not easy looking out for her, but what can we do?" Takeshi asked. "Look...after this, she's going to need some space. So... yeah."
Mai pinched her nose and nodded. "Yeah... Sounds like the best one, but Bolin's going to be hit hard." her face went a little red. "Meaning I can come in and soothe his broken heart!" she then said with stars in her eyes.
Takeshi backed away slightly as she began talking to herself.
'Why is it that all the women I know are a little bonkers?' he thought.
"Eight teams have been eliminated and eight advance into the quarter finals, which get underway way tonight. The rookies are about to take on the former and longest-reigning champs, the Boar-q-pines. Youth clashes against experience in a battle for the ages, or rather of the ages." Shrio said in his normal cheering tone before the bell sounded, indicating the match starts. "Korra dodges and, ooh, slams right into her teammate! Down goes Mako and Bolin and Korra."
Watching the match, Takeshi pinched his nose while shaking his head. He had seen this episode but he chose not to help as it would help them bond in the long run.
"Round one goes to the Boar-q-pines!" the ring announcer yelled.
"What kind of name is that?" Takeshi asked no one in particular.
"You were supposed to defend while I attacked!" Mako said angrily at Korra.
"I had an opening so I took it!" Korra said back.
"What is up with you two? All right, whatever, just pull together, guys." Bolin said.
"The Ferrets looking to mount some offence here in round two. Bolin lets fly a flurry of attacks, he's a one-man bending battalion. The Ferrets are having a rough time finding their rhythm tonight, but thanks to Bolin, they narrowly notch round two. Not sure what's eating them, but this is not the same team who took out the Rabaroos." Shiro said.
"Round three is a tie! We go to a tie-breaker to decide the match." the ring announcer said.
"The Fire Ferrets win the coin toss!" the reff said before turning to the Fire ferrets. "Which element do you choose?"
"I got this." Mako said but his brother placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I know you usually handle these, but frankly, your head's not in the game. I'm gonna take this one." he said as he stepped forward. "We choose earth."
A platform in the middle of the stage raised with Bolin and Chang, the Boar-q-pine earthbender, on it.
"Looks like the EarthBenders will collide in the tie-breaker face-off. Bolin goes in for the grapple, Chang reverses. Bolin strikes from midair, knocking Chang to the edge of the circle. Another strike from Bolin, and Chang is in the drink."
"The Future Industries Fire Ferrets win their quarterfinal match!" the ring announcer said as Bolin cheered.
While Korra and Mako were relieved that Bolin won the tie-breaker, they look away from each other angrily.
"Oh, that was a close one folks! Youth trumps experience tonight." Shiro said.
At the Fire Ferrets corner, Mai-Lin just pouted that her plan would not be able to go forward. Her pout slowly turned into an evil smile as she planned to follow them.
Korra stared out from the balcony of the arena in sadness and anger. They shouldn't have had to do a damn tie-breaker! It should've been an easy match! They had trained hard for it and...and...ugh! She never noticed Mako walk up to her.
" We need to talk," Mako's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, making her look at him, "Look, sometimes you can be so infuriating. But I..."
" Save your breath. You've already made it clear how you feel about me," Korra snorted.
" No, I haven't. What I'm trying to say is: as much as you drive me crazy, I also think you're pretty amazing."
" So you do like me?"
"Yes, but, I like Asami, too," Mako sighed, "I don't know, things are complicated. I've been feeling really confused and..."
Korra interrupted Mako by kissing him on the lips. It surprised him, but he kissed her back, making her blush. When they broke the kiss, Korra immediately lookws down in shame after having seen something behind Mako. Mako turnws around to find Bolin standing there with flowers for Korra. He burst into tears and rans away, dropping the flowers on the floor.
" Bolin, this isn't what you think!" Mako called before turning to Korra, angrily snapping, "Great, look at what you did!"
"You're blaming me?" Korra exclaimed.
Mako furiously responded with, "You kissed me!"
"You kissed me back!"
Mako raised his fists and growled in frustration before running after Bolin, "Bolin!"
"Well played, Korra..." Korra sighed as she slumped on the balcony.
'Yes-yes-yes-yes-yes-yes-yes!' an all white MagiRanger with a dragon-shaped to their visor mentally squealed in delight, hiding on an upper level of the building and managing to see the whole thing, 'Using wind magic to get Korra to kiss him like that was pure brilliance! Now all I need to do is...'
"Rrrrr...!"
"Eep," MagiYang squeaked as a shadow came over her.
"Ugh...I knew it was gonna happen," Takeshi sighed as he walked by a construction site, having intercepted Bolin for Light to take home to comfort, "Dammit, Korra. I know this was supposed to be for your own good, but still...!"
"GAH!"
"Huh? Mai-Lin?" Takeshi turned to the construction site before the fence around it broke apart due to SentaiSoul crashing through it from being thrown by something, "What the...?!"
"Rrrrr...!"
"?!" Takeshi's eyes widened as he turned to the hole.
Standing menacingly in the hole was a strange kaijin. At first, Takeshi thought it was some sort of Unknown from Agito before he began to notice other traits. The body was roughly humanoid, but was themed heavily on dragons both Eastern and Western. Over its shoulder was a scarf that was torn and tattered. Its left arm had a set of chains fused to it with silver and green/blue orbs were patterned in the shape of the Draco constellation, the chains actually made from hundreds of Cell Medals with a soft cosmic glow to them. The right arm had a combination of stained glass-patterns intermingled with ash-like patterns. Its waist had shogun-like armor made of a strange metal that made Takeshi think of Dragblacker from Ryuki with an infinity symbol imprinted on the side-armor. The pattern on its left leg made Takeshi think of an OverLord Inves combined with a skin pattern resembling data lines. The right leg had a vein-like pattern that made Takeshi think of a Worm in its Pupae Mode in the middle of its shedding phase. The six wings on its back were a blend of an angel wing, a devil wing, an insect wing shaped like a dragon's wing, a mechanical wing shaped like a dragon's wing, a dragon's wing made of sand and leaves of all the four seasons, and a dragon's wing made of a black material with a wheel embedded into it, the words 'King of Dragons' on it. Finally, Takeshi's eyes widened as he noticed the buckle on its waist, depicting a snake eating its own tail.
'What's going on here?!' Takeshi thought with wide eyes as he helped SentaiSoul up, 'Gorongi, Unknown, Mirror Monster, Orphnoch, Undead, Makamou, Worm, Imagin, Fangire, Dopant, Greeed, Yummy, Zodiarts, Phantom, Inves, Roidmude, and...something else? It...It's as if this thing is made up of all of the Kaijin enemies of all the Kamen Riders put into one. W...What is this?'
"Rrrrrr...gniod era tahw, ihsekaT?!" the dragon Kaijin snarled before pointing at Sentai Soul, "yap tsum ehS!"
"I don't know what you are, but you're not hurting her again. Henshin!" Takeshi declared, sliding a card into his device.
=KAMEN RIDE: DECADE=
Putting the phone on his waist, it glowed before turning into a black belt with a silver and black book-like item on the left waist and a bulky silver buckle with a camera lens in the center, the symbols of the first nine Heisei Kamen Riders circling it. Opening the book, Takeshi pulled out a card while opening the buckle. Spinning the card around to reveal the back of it, he slid it into the buckle and closed it.
=KAMENRIDE: DECADE=
A silvery film-like set of images resembling the first nine Heisei Riders appeared before Takeshi in a clockwise matter, Blade directly across from him. They slid in a circle, all nine colliding with Takeshi to form an all black armor before ten magenta cards came out of the buckle and collided with his helmet, filling the body with magenta and while coloring. A flash of the yellow gem on the forehead made the green bug eyes of the mask flash.
"edaceD!" the Kaijin snarled before coughing once to clear its throat, "Stay out of my way!"
=KAIZOKU SENTAI GOOOOKAIGER!=
"Thanks," an all-white Gokaiger with traits of both the first five Gokaigers and Gokaisilver thanked, readying her cutlass and the GokaSpear in its gun mode.
"No problem," Decade nodded, "Now what is this?"
"The worst Kaijin you'll ever face," GokaiYang replied, "The Infernal Dragon of the Kaijin; Zekrom-SIN."
Zekrom-SIN roared before slamming his fists on the ground, causing Helheim vines to erupt and shoot at them. Decade and GokaiYang open fired, tearing through the vines before they cried out as sparks raced off their bodies before a powerful pulse of air sent them slamming into the wall behind them.
"Ugh...That...It combined the powers of an OverLord Inves, a Worm after it shed its skin, and a concussive air blast that a lot of Kaijin can do..." Decade grunted as he got up, "How is it able to do that?"
"It's said that this is where all Kaijin that Kamen Riders have faced or will face come from," GokaiYang replied before turning into DekaRed and began to fire her magnums at Zekrom-SIN.
Zekrom-SIN's chains released themselves from his arm and he began to effortlessly whip away the blasts. Decade roared as he charged at Zekrom-SIN, his RideBooker in Sword Mode. A pulse of electricity formed before Zekrom-SIN before forming into a broadsword themed after a black Western Dragon. The two began to trade sword blows while Helheim vines continued to try and get DekaRed, who shot them down before changing into GingaRed to start cutting and burning them.
"ENOUGH!" Zekrom-SIN snapped before swinging an arm up, causing a series of zippers to appear in the air, dropping a literal army of elemental Inves that distracted the two long enough for it to flee.
"O-Oi!" Decade snapped, seeing Zekrom-SIN flee, "Get back here!"
An engine revving made Decade turn to see the Machine Deccaider drive over and bat away the Inves around him. Decade nodded as he got on the vehicle and drove after Zekrom-SIN. The two entered an abandoned storage by the harbor and Zekrom-SIN snorted.
"Of course you'd follow," Zekrom-SIN noted with an annoyed sigh, "Unforgivable...! Abusing the powers of the Magirangers for that!"
"Eh?" Decade pondered.
"I don't give a damn anymore," Zekrom-SIN growled, "Prepare yourself!"
Despite saying that, the Kaijin didn't give Decade a chance to move as his henshin was undone. In a matter of seconds, Takeshi slammed into a wall, littered in cuts and bruises. He gave a cry as Zekrom-SIN stepped on his chest, lightly for the Kaijin.
"Get better. Learn what it means to be a Kamen Rider and learn how to truly use that device," Zekrom-SIN snorted before firing a massive fireball at the ceiling and using his wings to escape through the new hole, "Until then, all I see is a pretender to the name of Kamen Rider!"
"D...Dammit!" Takeshi grunted, slamming a fist on the ground while coughing up a bit of blood, 'Mai-Lin...what did you do to piss that thing off?' "Owwww... Fuck. That hurt."
"AHHHHHHH!-!-!" Takeshi cried out in pain, "That hurts, dammit!" he yelled at Korra, who was healing him with water on one of his more bad wounds.
"Geez, how in the world did you end up like this?" she asked.
"Trust me when I say I have no idea. I thought my armour would protect me from physical attacks, preventing me from being properly wounded. Owwwww," he moaned, "
Just then, the door burst open to show a red-cheeked Natsuko. "AHH MY DARLING!" she yelled and jumped on Takeshi.
But as soon as she touched him, he yelled out in pain, making the building shake. She then did the kindest thing she could do and let go of him.
"Please. No. Touching..." he wheezed in pain.
"Sorry, my love."
"Geez." Korra huffed "He's not in any condition to be hugged or go anywhere, or training for that matter." she added at the end, almost sulking.
"Aww~ My honey is not meant to be used as a traning tool." Natsuko informed, looking daggers at Korra.
"Wait! I didn't do this to him!" Korra freaked, putting her hands up in defense.
"Princess, before you open your mouth, I was attacked by someone claiming to be the true Kamen Rider. He did this to me!" he explained, waving his arms around before moaning in pain and calmed down. "Owww. Just...owww."
"So Takeshi, what happened?" Tenzin asked as he walked into Takeshi's room.
"A lot a pain thanks to a Kamen Rider, not Soul." Takeshi answered.
"Well, I could get one of the monks or my other to help."
"Tenzin, I'm right here, and I was trained my YOUR mother." Korra shot back.
"Err...okay, I'm going." he informed, sliding away since he did not want to give Korra a reason to send a letter to his mother about any indirect insults to her teachings.
Takeshi flinched once again as Korra moved the blob of water she was using to heal him.
"You sure it was a Kamen Rider?" Korra asked.
"Sounds like...that guy," Natsuko frowned.
"No. I called Light. The bastard who killed Mako and Bolin's birth parents is still locked up and so what he used to kill them," Korra informed.
Mako walked into Narook's Seaweed Noodlery to see if he could find and calm his brother down.
"Morning, Narook. My brother here?" Mako asked before Narook pointed towards the corner, "Thanks." Mako walked over to Bolin, who was slumped across a table...surrounded by a ton of stacked bowls, "Come on. Wake up. Taking you home, bro."
Bolin just looked up at his brother and sniffed dejectedly, "Don't call me that. You're not my brother! You're a brother betrayer! The only one I can trust anymore is Ma and Pabu! Pabu loves me," He gestured to Pabu, who was lying in a bowl on the table with a big stomach.
"You're a mess, and we've got the biggest match of our lives tonight. Let's go," Mako ordered as he put a hand on Bolin's shoulder.
Bolin slapped away Mako's hand. "No! I'm not going anywhere with you, you traitor!" he angrily said and pointed at Mako.
"Guess we'll have to do this the hard way." he picked Bolin up and hauled him onto his back.
"Why?" he sobbed.
"Mom told you dating a teammate was a bad idea." Mako said.
"You're a bad idea! Put me down! Put me down!" Bolin said in an angry drunken manor.
Pabu flopped off the table and slowly followed. Five minutes passed before Light entered.
"Bolin here, Narook?"
"..."
"Ah. Mako found him drunk off your noodles again," Light nodded before pulling out a credit card from between her breasts, "I'll pay for what he ate and/or broke...again."
"..."
"Yeah...He tried to date another teammate."
"..."
"I kn-I KNOW, OKAY?!" Light snapped before a 'THUD' followed, "Whoops...Used Haoshoku on instinct again."
At the Pro-bending Arena at night, Korra entered the locker room. She looked at Bolin sitting dejectedly on a bench and walked silently past Mako. Mai-Lin, bandages under her normal kimono, looked from the doorway before being dragged by a bandaged up Takeshi who took her to the Fire Ferret entrance. After a moment of waiting, the Fire Ferrets then came and lined up against the Buzzard Wasps.
"I just hope they win." Takeshi mentioned.
"I'm not sure if they will," Mai-Lin replied, a sad expression dominating her features.
"By the way, where's that belt you normally wear?" Takeshi asked, looking at her waist to see a normally noticeable oversized buckle was missing.
"Zekrom-SIN stole it. Without that, I can't access the Tranger Chest that holds all the Yang Sentai keys that I can use," Mai-Lin admitted.
"What did you do to piss that guy off?"
"I..." Mai-Lin looked away from him.
"...You did something to cause Bolin to see Korra kiss Mako?" 'So that Kaijin was upset about her doing that? Why would a Kaijin that's said to be the progenator of all Kaijin care about something like that?'
"You can't find two teams more evenly matched in age, size, and strength than the Fire Ferrets and the Buzzard Wasps. Believe me, I've looked! This should be a pulse-pounding semifinal, folks!" Shiro commentated as the bell rang and play began, "The Buzzard Wasps open with a flawlessly executed combo. All three Ferrets take an early visit to zone two. And Mako is knocked all the way back into zone three! The Fire Ferrets have been struggling to stay alive since the opening bell. All three players are totally out of sync tonight." Bolin then got struck in the stomach with an earth disk. "Ooh, that has got to sting!" Bolin stumbled to the side of the ring, removed his helmet, throws it aside, and vomits. "And Bolin loses his noodles! Ugh...Literally."
"Oh, my poor Bolin." Mai-lin said as Takeshi looked away.
Korra turned around and watched with pity and disgust.
"Which reminds me, this match is brought to you by our sponsor, Flameo Instant Noodles! Noodliest noodles in the United Republic." The match continued and Korra got knocked into zone three. "The Buzzard Wasps fly deeper into Ferret territory. And Mako plunges into the pool! Can the Fire Ferrets hold on? The Wasps have the Ferrets backed up to the edge now ... and the Ferrets are bailed out by the bell! They had better pull themselves together for round two, otherwise they can kiss the finals goodbye."
The bell rang again, allowing for the second round to begin. Mako got knocked back a zone, and firebent a blast that hit Bolin in the back and knocked him to the ground.
He turned to Mako. "Hey! Watch it!" he snapped before, since his back was turned, he got struck by a blast of water and knocked off the edge.
"The Wasps take advantage of Mako's unforced error and Bolin is in the pool!" Korra got fancy with her waterbending but got too carried away. "Ooh, and a blatant hold by the Avatar!"
"Unnecessary roughness! Move back one zone." the reff called.
"I'll unnecessarily rough you up!" she said angrily as she Waterbent a blast at the referee as she headed back, and he grimly pulled out a yellow fan.
"And the Avatar is slapped with the yellow fan. The Ferrets are their own worst enemy right now. It's just sad to watch. With the Buzzard Wasps leading two rounds to zilch, the Ferrets' only hope of winning is with a knockout."
"Geeze... What on earth is she doing?" Mai-lin asked as she adjusted her glasses but her elbow touched Takeshi's arm, making him yelp. "Man, after all that healing it still hurts?"
"You have no idea." Takeshi cringed, rubbing his bandaged arm.
"Well, I guess there's always next year..." Mako muttered to himself.
"Come on! We still have a chance, even if it is a slim one!" Korra said.
"The way we're playing, we don't even deserve to be in the finals," Bolin sighed.
"Look, if we don't pull together and work as a team, we'll never forgive ourselves." Korra said, trying to encourage the other two.
"Let's just get this over with." Mako let out an annoyed growl.
"The sooner, the better." Bolin sighed, "Mom's waiting outside to drag me back home and lock me in the basement for tor-training. I said 'training.' Yep. Complete training. Right, Mako?"
"Not now, Bolin."
The three then grimly lined up once again readying themselves against their opponents. The bell sounded and the third round began.
"Bolin's knocked into zone two, followed quickly by his brother!" Shiro spoke as an earth coin struck Bolin in the shoulder with a sickening crack, making him cry out, "And Bolin takes a zinger to the shoulder! Looks like it's a clean hit."
"Owww..." Bolin moaned.
"Bolin!" Mako cried out, but got hit with a blast of fire and knocked off the edge.
"Mako's in the drink and out of the match. And Bolin keeps playing with one good arm! I gotta hand it to him, this kid's got grit! But how long can he keep it up?" Bolin then got knocked off the edge by an earth and water combo. "Apparently, not very long. The Ferrets' dream of making it to the finals now rests in the Avatar's hands. But with three on one, I don't like her odds." Korra dodged the attacks in an attempt to stay in the ring.
Bolin, pulled himself painfully out of the pool. He looked up as Mako keeled above him, smiling and offering a hand. Mako pulled Bolin up and steadied him.
"Are you okay? How's your shoulder?" Mako asked.
"Ahh, it's messed up pretty bad. But I think I'll be all right." Both boys then stepped onto the lift, which began rising. "Are we gonna be all right?"
"Of course we are. We're brothers. We'll get through this mess. I'm sorry." Mako said.
"Me too. Girls..." Bolin moaned.
"Seriously." Mako sighed as they got off the lift...and right into a tight hug of an overprotective policewoman for a mother known as Light.
"Okay. We are putting a hold on your punishment until we get a healer on that," Light ordered, "Both a Waterbender and a non-Bender doctor to examine that, Bolin. Got it? Now let's hope Korra can win it for the team."
"Yes, mom," both replied.
"What an unbelievable effort here by Korra! She's dodging every element the Wasps throw at her!" Korra knocked each of the Wasps into a line. "The Avatar finally gains some ground, but with only ten seconds remaining, it might be too little too late!" Korra angled herself so that the Buzzard Wasps would be lined up in front of her, and knocked them out with a single blast of water. "It's the big kibosh! What a knockout!"
"Yes! She did it!" Bolin cried out in excitement.
"Yes! Yeah!" Mako let out a laugh.
"Alright, Korra!" Light whooped, doing a dance with a pair of paper folding fans, Pabu dancing on her head with his own smaller pair.
"It didn't seem possible, folks, but the Fire Ferrets are headed to the finals!" Shrio said in surprise.
"Ha, ha!" Bolin said as Mako hugged him tightly in celebration. "Shoulder! Shoulder!"
"Sorry." Mako said, dropping his brother.
"That...was pretty much the coolest thing I've ever seen." Bolin said as Korra walked up.
"Thanks for not giving up on us. We never would have made it this far without you. I owe you. Big time." Mako said.
"You're welcome. So ... I know things are confusing right now, but I hope we can still be friends." Korra said with a smile.
"Definitely." Mako smiled as well.
In the locker room, Korra and the rest of the team took time to relax. Takeshi was sitting next to Nasuki, who was rubbing a lotion onto his right arm. He was flinching as she rubbed his arm which started to feel much better.
"Still hasn't healed?" Korra asked. "Damn that Kaijin must have one tough sword."
"No dou-Ahhhhhh!" Takeshi tried to say as Nasuki touched one of his wounds on his arm. "Careful please. Owww."
Just then Wolfbats, entered the locker room. Tahno entered last and inhales deeply with an expression of disgust.
"Oh, look what the Hippo-Lion dragged in; the ego with room to spare." Takeshi quiped, making Tahno look at him with even more disgust.
"Ooh, oof. You boys smell something in here? Wait, I know what that is; yeah, that's the scent of losers." Tahno said with a disgusted tone.
"Or maybe the sent of a garbage gleaner." Natsuki said, making Tahno's eyes burn with fire.
"Ahem," Light cleared her throat as she held up her badge, "Now you wouldn't be trying to instigate any fights in here, are you?"
"Tch," Tahno snorted, "Not at all, officer."
"I hope we see you in the finals. Then we'll know who the losers really are." Korra said in her upbeat aggressive tone.
"Yeah, I'm peeing my pants over here." Tahno said in a sarcastic tone before leaving.
"Yeah you will, owww." Takeshi said.
"And now, the defending champs, the White Falls Wolfbats!" Shrio announced.
Korra growled at the White Fall Wolfbats, as Asami ran to Mako and threw her arms around his neck.
"Great job!" she said to Korra as both of them looked at her while embracing. "What a comeback, Korra. I've never seen a hat trick like that."
"Thanks!" Korra said as she slowly approaches the pair. "But, if it hadn't been for you and your father, we wouldn't have had the chance to play. So thank you."
"Uh, if everyone's done with the little "thank you" party, need some medical attention over here." Bolin moaned.
"Ooh, let me help!" Korra said as she placed both hands on his shoulder.
"Owww! Gah! Haven't you hurt me enough, woman?" he said in an angry, yet joking manner.
"Relax, I'm a healer!" she said as she bend some water out of a bucket and puts it over Bolin's shoulder and begins to heal. "I learned from Katara, the best there is."
"It's true mate." Takeshi said.
"Didn't do you any oooo Hoo no, no, oh- ooh! That's the stuff!" he then said relaxing.
"Bolin, I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. I didn't mean to let things get so out of hand." Korra apologized, earning a nod from Light.
"Ahh, I'll be all right. But we had fun together, didn't we?" Bolin said with smile.
"I had a great time, honestly! You are one of a kind, Bolin."
"Go on. Please. I enjoy the praise." Bolin said in a dreamy voice but then a hand landed on his head.
"Oh no. You don't get any more, mister. If I recall correctly, you're grounded." Mai-lin scolded.
"You're right about that," Light smirked, making Bolin slump with a small whimper.
"Your winners, the Wolfbats!" Shiro announced.
"What? How is it over already?" Korra asked.
"Bloody cheaters." Takeshi muttered, Light the only one to hear him.
"With a brutal round one knockout, the defending champs secure their spot in the finals." Shio said as the Mo Ce Mongoose Lizards being helped out of the pool by medics with stretchers; The waterbender on the team even had a large hole in the glass of his helmet. "I hope the Ferrets know a good doctor, 'cause they're gonna need one."
