Chapter One
FAKE FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
REAL FRIENDS: Are the reason you have no food.
It was evening time and a very tired blonde swordsman had returned to his apartment. It had been a very long and tiring day and the only thing he wanted to do was curl up in bed or collapse on the couch. However, his rumbling stomach forced him to drag his feet into the kitchen. He hadn't had anything since breakfast.
His first instinct was to reach for the instant soup cupboard. Cloud didn't even bother looking, he just felt around for one. When his search came up empty he looked inside. There was nothing there. With a grunt of annoyance he headed towards the pantry. There had to be something quick to eat. Nothing again.
The hungry blonde went and searched the whole pantry for something eatable. Cookies, chips, popcorn, pasta, even the box of Hamburger Helper was gone. With a look of confusion Cloud went over to the fridge. He'd probably have to cook, but at this point he didn't care. He was more hungry than tired at this point.
Opening up the fridge he looked for what was left of the previous evening's egg salad. It was gone. So was the pizza from two nights before that. The eggs were missing, the bacon had vanished. Even the fresh bag of grapes was no where to be seen. Cloud was completely stumped. He knew that there was at least some food in the house before he left. What could have happened to it all?
"Yo, Cloud!"
The blonde's shoulders sagged a bit when he recognized that voice. Zack Fair, his best friend had come to pay him a visit, as if training with him every other day wasn't enough.
"The door was open, so I let myself in," he called as Cloud heard him make himself comfortable on the couch, probably in Cloud's spot.
"Wait,..." the night before he and Zack had been tired from an extra tough mission. Cloud had collapsed on the couch and had absolutely no energy to move. That was when Zack asked him,...
"Hey buddy, you got anything to snack on?" asked the First Class Soldier.
"Help yourself," Cloud replied through closed eyes, already beginning to drift off to sleep.
"Hey, Zack? What exactly did you snack on last night?"
The dark-haired soldier looked thoughtful for a moment as he picked up the TV remote. "Um, a few things from the pantry and the fridge,...why?"
Thirty minutes later saw a sour-faced Zack Fair shopping in the local supermarket with Cloud's grocery list.
Now, I leave it up to you, who should be the next victims, er I mean characters in next chapter's theme?
FAKE FRIENDS: Bail you out of jail and tell you what you did was wrong.
REAL FRIENDS: Will sit next to you saying "Damn … we really messed up … but that sure was fun!"
It can be anyone from the FF7 or KH universe. Leave your suggestion in a review and I'll choose one for next week's episode.
PS: They may be longer than this one. My first chapters have a habit of being short.
