Castiel looked over the world in his broken state. He was naked, but he didn't care. He was alone in a pasture just watching bees doing their work.

No guidance, just all going. He was mesmerized by their movements, patterns, and how they all worked like a clock. Never needing help, never stopping. Just... going. A plan also coded into their brains; they were just like him, all doing what they were born to do.

Of course, he was born to protect humanity, while the bees were there just to make honey, but still, they both had a defined purpose. Of course, Cass thought as he looked down to the luscious green grass below him, he had broken away from all of the rules and codes of his life, all for one human. One small hairless ape. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to feel down about it, like he knew he should.

Cass sighed, laying back next to his clothes; just feeling free. In his peace he thought about everyone; the beautiful Meg with her thorny exterior and horrendous face, Dean with all of his guilt and anger, Sam in all of his mistakes weighing down on him. Again, Cass sighed in serenity; looking over to see some squirrels mating.

He just chuckled and nodded his head, giving a wink to the male squirrel. Hands behind his head, Cass stared at the sky for a long time, just watching the sun go down and the stars start to be revealed to him.

Cass was happy not talking and he had stayed silent for a long time, just watching; observing. There was no need to talk. No need to explain himself. No need to do anything and he loved it. After all the conflict and the problems, Cass was delighted that he finally just got to stare at beautiful things without a worry in the world.

All was calm.

All was peaceful.

There was no conflict and Castiel felt calmer and more at peace then he had in a long time. Finally he said, "What a wonderful world."
