Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy stared at their leader, the quiet ticking of sixty seconds clicking closer and closer to zero. Eyes shut, Robin's eyebrows were scrunched together, the look of pure concentration on his face. Starfire's heart pounded in her ears, and she clasped her hands to her chest. She could practically see the list of names and clues flipping through his head.

A loud buzzer like one at the end of a basketball game caused everyone to jump, and the Titans' eyes flew to the television. A big bold zero flashed at them three times before the Voice's shadowed face reappeared on the screen. "Time's up, Robin. Who am I?"

"Before I guess," Robin said slowly, lifting his head, "open the door. I don't want you locking us in here so you can escape when I say who you really are. If I'm wrong, I won't leave this room without telling you my identity," he promised, setting his shoulders.

In response, a rectangular opening underneath the Voice's television slid away. "The lie detector shows that you're telling the truth."

Robin turned to Cyborg. "Stand in the doorway to make sure he doesn't close it." The bigger teen obeyed, moving to position himself in the exit with both arms held out to the sides in preparation to hold the walls apart should they try to shut.

Raven's voice was quiet. "Robin."

He looked at her over his shoulder. "If I expect him to keep his word, I have to do the same. I can't leave yet."

"You have no real idea who I am," the Voice accused in a dark tone, "otherwise you wouldn't be stalling."

"I do know," Robin announced, raising his voice.

"Then stop wasting time and tell me."

Robin lifted his chin and clenched his fists. "Control Freak," he said.

The room held its breath, the dark figure on the screen completely still. The faintest movement started on the television, and the Titans realized the villain's shoulders were shaking. "Heh heh heh… Wrong."

Robin was not deterred, although his friends had tensed considerably. "Then clear your television screen and show us who you are," he commanded. The shaking stopped.

"Um… No."

The Voice slammed his fist down. Something beeped, and Cyborg grunted, his hands braced against the door which had tried to close. "Go!" Robin commanded his teammates. They ran forward, ducking under Cyborg's arms and into the corridor on the other side. Cyborg jumped in to follow them, the wall slamming shut behind him.

Robin took the lead, sprinting down a dark narrow passageway which was so different than the rest of the rooms he and his team had answered and fought their way through. A light at the end showed them their destination, and there another white room greeted the team.

In the center of the small square space was a huge computer system, screens of all sizes angled down toward the lone chair perched in front of a table. Keyboards, microphones, and gadgets so advanced even Cyborg wasn't sure what they did littered the surface, and wires hung down from the ceiling. At the far end of the room, a squat man was frantically pressing buttons on a keypad. Just as a door beside him opened, Robin flung a bird-a-rang and sent him crashing to the ground. Before Control Freak could blink, five irate Titans had him surrounded.

"I may not have my powers," Cyborg bellowed, fists clenched, "but I can still kick your butt any day!"

Control Freak held up his hands, a fearful smirk on his face. "I surrender," he squeaked from his position on the floor.

"Where are you keeping our powers?" Raven snapped, glowering at the man.

"O-over there," came the reply, pointing at a sleek device on the table. The Titans turned, and Control Freak thrust his hand into his pocket, rolling onto his back and yanking out the remote he'd used against the team in past battles. Robin and Beast Boy saw it before anyone else did, but Control Freak had already shoved his thumb down on the big red button in the center. Without a second thought, Beast Boy grabbed Raven's shoulders and pulled her back. A white beam of light shot past her nose, connecting with Control Freak's control center. The computer exploded, screenshots of the Titans and the rooms the team had gone through blacking out or cracking.

Control Freak released a cry of anguish as his system was destroyed, and another shout escaped his mouth when Robin stepped on his arm and shoved his staff onto the remote to reduce the gadget to plastic and wires. Robin glared at the villain, holding the end of his pole to Control Freak's neck and silently daring him to move. Both blinked in surprise as an orange light flew by them.

Starfire gasped as the orange color flew into her, enveloping her torso, legs, and head. The light faded, and her feet lowly levitated off of the ground, causing a big smile to stretch over Starfire's face. She looked at her other friends, everyone save for Robin glowing as their powers sailed out of a broken device on the table nearby, returning to their original bodies.

"Friend Robin, my powers have returned!" Starfire swept Robin up in a hug with an excited squeal, and the team smirked as his face turned red.

He coughed, pulling at his collar with an arm that managed to escape her embrace. "I-I can see that, S-Star." Never before had he felt so happy to be crushed in a super-strength hug.

Likewise, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven each felt the empty part inside of them filling with their powers once again. The blue electronics in Cyborg's arms shone at their full strength, and, just as a quick test, he tried to use his arm cannon. He was met with no resistance, and his hand transformed into the weapon in less than a second. The teenager grinned at Beast Boy who had tried his abilities as well, and the green Titan transformed back from a tiger to smirk at Cyborg as well.

Raven did not show her relief as openly as her friends, but as she clenched her fists, feeling the familiar strength return to her limbs, a small smile slipped through. A blue light glowed throughout her body, and the dark sorceress used her magic to quickly mend her burned skin. The Crush Room felt so far away now.

In sync, the five Titans turned toward Control Freak who was still sprawled out on the floor. He grinned nervously, starting to inch back, but Robin's staff stopped him in his tracks. "You have a lot to answer to, Control Freak," the leader stated.

"Me?" Control Freak cleared his throat. "I have no idea what you're talking about!"

"Liar," Raven muttered, her hands dark with magic.

Cyborg was examining the wrecked computer, and he suddenly jumped when a red light flashed above him. After inspecting the object and wires leading up to it, he chuckled. "Raven's right."

"What did you find, Cyborg?" Robin inquired, not moving from his place over Control Freak. He felt a metal hand touch his shoulder, and Cyborg motioned for his leader to step to the side. Grabbing Control Freak by the front of his shirt, Cyborg dragged the squat man into the chair in the middle of the room. The rest of the Titans followed them curiously.

Plopping Control Freak roughly into the seat, Cyborg crossed his arms. "Did you really think you were gonna beat us?"

"Obviously!" the man cried. "Why else would I go to all the work of building this place?!"

To the right, a light hooked to the ceiling blinked green. Cyborg glanced at his friends who stood behind him. "See that? That's how he knew we were tellin' the truth this whole time. Like he said, this whole place is a lie detector. And now it's our turn to ask him a few questions." He cracked his knuckles.

"Good work," Robin praised, walking forward to stand beside Cyborg. Beast Boy followed him, but instead of stopping beside his friends, he hopped over to Control Freak and tugged on his hair.

"Ow!" Control Freak's whined, pouting and slapping Beast Boy's hand away. "What?!"

Beast Boy shrugged. "Just checking to make sure you aren't wearing a mask or someone else's face. It's kinda hard to believe you were the one who was behind this! I mean, dude, this whole time we've been fighting a villain who didn't even make our bad guy list!" he complained, retreating back to his friends.

"Bad guy list?" Raven repeated, looking at him with a lifted eyebrow.

"BB and I made one a while back for the Titans East when we were away fightin' the Brotherhood of Evil," Cyborg explained quickly.

"Right."

"Actually, Beast Boy, it does make sense," Robin interrupted. "When I was thinking about who the Voice could be, I had to use the process of elimination. The fact that this whole thing was set up like a game crossed off a good handful of villains." He gestured toward the cracked and smoking screens above the computer system. "The television itself was a hint, as well as was the sheer amount of advanced technology everywhere. Also, his style of speaking was different than someone, for example, like Slade. He knew a lot about us already, but he asked some questions like a fan might rather than a villain."

Robin glanced at Control Freak before addressing his team again. "When I was placed in that box a few rooms ago as a dare, he gave me electronic objects to use that were similar to his expertise. The first was an old phone, which could very well be your first cell phone," he guessed with another look for Control Freak. The man folded his arms in refusal to answer. "A television remote and an antenna headband. The remote was obvious, but the antenna was harder to figure out. It's childish and has an antenna, and though in this case it was a toy, an antenna can also be wires on top of an old television set."

Beast Boy's mouth was wide open, similar to Cyborg's expression. Starfire smiled brightly, and even Raven had quirked an eyebrow, quietly impressed. Robin continued. "The main clue that gave him away was, save for a few moments, the sense of immaturity surrounding the whole thing."

"I am not immature," Control Freak pouted under his breath.

Robin ignored him. "The Titans East had also told us about Control Freak's 'tests' for them when they watched over the tower for us once." He lifted his shoulders, concluding, "Process of elimination."

Cyborg exhaled loudly. "Aw man, there is no way I'm tellin' that we almost bit it 'cause of Control Freak of all people. I thought we were against someone more… formidable?"

"I am formidable!" Control Freak snapped, sitting up in his chair. He shrunk back down the five Titans glared at him.

"So we all know you're supposedly a technical genius," Raven said in monotone, "but I can't bring myself to believe you actually did all this by yourself."

"You dare doubt my abilites?! I had no help whatsoever!" The light blinked above his head, and it was red. Control Freak rubbed his head. "Okay, I just replicated a few things from the other villains, like the power neutralizer from Ding Dong Daddy, and the fear simulation from Phobia and one of Robin's old enemies." A green light signaled the truth to his words.

Raven shook her head. A lot of villains would do anything to get their hands on technology like his, but what did Control Freak do with it? He made them play a stupid game.

"Alright Control Freak." Robin gripped the armrests on Control Freak's chair and stared the villain down. "This is the big question. What was the point of all this?!"

"Besides the obvious reasons?"

Beast Boy cleared his throat. "Might as well tell us those ones too, dude."

"Well, snot-colored human, you know exactly why! It's that I'm the Titans' nemesis! I have to put you through difficult tasks!" He lifted his chin. "Maybe now you'll take me seriously! I am not a force to be taken lightly anymore! I'm a cool bad guy! Besides, do you know how hard it is going to be for any other villain to top this?" Control Freak pressed the back of his hand to his forehead, pretending to swoon. "The drama! The love! The pain! The unspoken secrets!" His finger pointed at the team. "I'm willing to bet that this was one of the hardest things you've ever had to go through!"

No one answered him, and instead Robin threw out another question. "Why did you want to know my secret identity so badly?!"

"Can you imagine the bragging rights?" Control Freak gawked at him. "It'd be so satisfying to rub in the other villains' faces that I had accomplished what none of them could! I would get a lot of money for selling that information, and it's money I'd use to buy more gadgets! All I needed to do was pressure Robin a little more, and I would have known!"

"You do know that we all know his secret identity," Raven uttered. "You could have tried to make any of us tell you." Control Freak's jaw dropped as he scanned the Titans, each one nodding. "Too bad it's too late now," the empath added with a tiny smirk.

The light on the ceiling blinked green, and Control Freak started stammering. "Y-You mean I could have-? R-Robin's identity-? I could ha-? You all-?"

"Okay." Beast Boy cut in, waving his hands in front of him. "So I get why you wanted to know Rob's identity since that's like all bad dudes want to know, but why'd you keep picking on Rae?!"

Control Freak's expression shifted into one of hurt. "She was being really rude to me!" Everyone stared at him incredulously except for Raven who pressed her palm to her forehead. "Come on," Control Freak continued, already seemingly over the discovery of everyone's knowledge of Robin's identity, "it's not like I ever really expected any of you to die anyways; the nemesis never kills the heroes; he just puts them through a lot of pain."

"Then what about when Raven almost died in the room of the crush?" Starfire reminded, wide-eyed.

Control Freak swayed his hand to the side dismissingly. "I would've pulled her out when she passed out. It's not like she was on fire."

"But what if she had caught on fire?!" Beast Boy exclaimed.

Realization dawned on Control Freak, and he scratched at his head again. "Huh…. Didn't think about it."

"And when Robin had to jump over the pit of spikes with his eye closed?" Starfire reminded.

"Holographic spikes."

Raven exhaled. "Wouldn't the fall have killed him? Or what about when he was in the box and running out of oxygen?"

"Sometimes I get frustrated, okay?! I'll admit, there were a few times I expected that at least one of you weren't going to be able to cut the mustard."

At the mention of her favorite drink, Starfire perked up. "What? Where?"

"…It's an expression," Control Freak muttered.

"It means you couldn't handle something," Robin added quickly.

"So there is none of the mustard?"

Cyborg interrupted quickly, turning his accusing look on Control Freak again. "Yo, what about our things? Like my baby? Or Raven's book?"

"Oh yeah, those are gone," Control Freak said. Cyborg fumed, but the squat man in the chair only shrugged. "It's not like I'm a good guy."

"How did you get into the tower?" Robin asked, moving on. "Our security is the best there is."

The villain scoffed. "Your security is nothing when I'm the best at what I do. And what I do is technology. There's no electronic system that can keep me out. Or in. After I got inside, I just had to put some sleeping gas into the vents and wait for the air system to do its work."

"My turn." Raven stepped up to Control Freak with crossed arms. "I understand why you asked most of the questions… but why the Crush Room? Why did you want to know so badly?"

Control Freak actually put his hands into the air in a gesture of surrender. "Okay, listen, I never thought you'd all be lovey-dovey at the end of this. Getting into relationships and everything."

"We never said we were in-."

"Yeah? Then what's with all the goo-goo eyes at each other?" Raven scowled at the floor while Beast Boy blushed behind her. Similarly, Robin and Starfire's faces were colored.

Thankfully Cyborg spoke up to take the attention off of his friends. "If you didn't think about that, then how do you justify the Crush Room?" he accused.

"I could always use the info against you guys if I had to. And I was learning about all of your secrets! What kind of a person would I be if I started something and didn't learn as much as I could?! Also-," -his lips pursed a little-, "-I wanted to know if I had a chance with Starfire. Which reminds me, I have one more question!" He pointed at Starfire. "What is your bra size?"

Robin promptly smashed his staff onto the top of Control Freak's head, he along with the other boys blushing from head to toe. Raven smirked while Starfire just appeared confused. "Don't answer that," the dark empath advised.

Robin ran his hand down his face. "Alright, how do we get out of here?" he asked, exasperated.

Control Freak motioned to the door he'd been trying to escape through when the Titans first entered the room. "Follow that door out. You'll find an elevator that'll lead you up." The light above him flashed green.

"Up?"

The man groaned as if the answer was the simplest thing in the world. "We're underground. How else did you expect me to make all this without you finding out about it ahead of time?"

In response to his question, Robin withdrew a pair of handcuffs and strapped Control Freak's hands together. Cyborg grasped the villain by the restraints and hauled him toward the exit. The team began to follow them, but Starfire stopped Robin by touching his arm. The leader glanced at her curiously. "Robin, Control Freak now knows many of our secrets. Will he not try to reveal them to the world now?"

Robin smiled. "He took care of the evidence for us. Any recordings he had were destroyed when he shot his computer."

"But could he not tell others of our secrets? Like our pasts?" Starfire and Robin joined their friends while Cyborg watched Control Freak with a critical eye as the villain typed a password into a keypad.

"Even if he were to tell our secrets, he has no proof," Robin explained. "It's our word against his."

Raven overheard. "Besides, if he wants to sleep without nightmares, he'll know to keep his trap shut." She glared at him, eyes flashing white for a moment. With a mumble, Control Freak opened the door and stumbled in, Cyborg just over his shoulder.

Sure enough, the door led to a small elevator that brought the group above ground. The white doors separated, revealing a mile or so away at the bottom of the hill they stood on, the familiar sight of Jump City. Cyborg took in a huge breath, dragging Control Freak out behind him, and walked out onto the grassy earth. "Finally! I never thought I'd see blue skies again! Or gray, dreary skies, that is," he adjusted, noting the cloud-covered sky. "I don't care as long as I never have to look at a white room again!"

They stood on top of a hill overlooking Jump City. The elevator had been disguised as a tiny cabin house, but the miniature building was the sole hint to what existed underneath. In the distance near a beach, the Titans could see the outline of their tower.

"We were but a few miles away from our home all of this time," Starfire realized quietly.

"What a surprise, huh?" Robin chuckled, grasping her hand. The girl nodded, her cheeks coloring somewhat.

"Come on, y'all," Cyborg called, already halfway down the hill. Control Freak sulked beside him, grouching about his handcuffs. "It's a long walk to the jail on foot, so we'd better get goin'!" Smiling, Robin and Starfire followed their robotic friend, Raven and Beast Boy not too far behind.

As they made their way down the slope, Beast Boy scratched the tip of his ear and glanced at Raven. "Hey, uh, Rae, I was wondering if you were, um, hungry at all?" Raven's eyes slid to his, and Beast Boy suddenly found his shoes fascinating. "If you were, would you maybe wanna get a pizza with me after we deal with Control Freak?"

The empath regarded him for a moment and then her expression relaxed. "I could use something to eat." Beast Boy's face lit up, and he grinned.

"Sweet!"

Raven rolled her eyes at his burst of joy, and she lowered her hood. One thing had been bothering her ever since finding out he felt the same as she did for him, and what better a time was there to ask him than now? "Beast Boy?" He looked at her curiously, still excited from her acceptance of his offer. Raven lowered her voice. "Why didn't you tell me about your feelings after what happened in the Crush Room?"

That put a bit of a damper on his mood. He closed one eye, scratching his shoulder. "Oh, that… Well, you were still hurt. I didn't want you to, I dunno, freak out or something?" He shrugged. "…And I was kinda scared to tell you with the Voice listening, but I guess it happened anyway." Beast Boy chewed on his lip. "You're not mad, right?"

"Far from it." The corners of Raven's mouth curved up for a second, and Beast Boy brightened once again.

"Cool! So what kind of pizza do you want?"

The Titans and Control Freak reached the bottom of the hill at the edge of Jump City, and the group waited for Raven and Beast Boy to catch up with them. "Friend Raven!" Starfire exclaimed, floating over to the darker girl. "You are going to the Pizza Corner on the date with friend Beast Boy?"

Beast Boy blushed, but Raven just answered simply. "Yes."

"Glorious!" Starfire grabbed Raven's hands. "You should do the 'double dating' with Robin and I!"

"Uh," Raven grimaced.

"Um," Robin spoke up, not having agreed to Starfire's idea.

"Hey, ya'll are not ditchin' me while I drop Control Freak off with the police!" Cyborg interjected loudly, pulling the squat man along behind him as he marched over to his friends.

The villain perked up. "We're getting pizza? Make sure to get one with anchovies and black olives for me."

"You're not coming," Raven stated plainly. The pout returned on his face, and Robin ran his hand through his hair.

"I guess we're going for pizza after this then."

"All the more reason to drop him off as soon as possible!" Cyborg announced, towing the villain into town at a faster pace than before.

Control Freak tried to slip his large wrists out of the cuffs and failed miserably. "If you let me go, I'll pay the tab! I won't even add any anchovies or anything if you don't want them! I'll buy ten pizzas! Fifteen if you want! Your nemesis buying you pizza! That sounds appealing, doesn't it?"

"Y'know," Cyborg grinned without turning around, "without all your gadgets or ginormous rooms to torture us with, you're just an annoying voice I can tune out whenever I want." Raven and Beast Boy exchanged glances before following after Cyborg quietly. Their plans for the rest of the day seemed to have changed without their consent.

"There's a café a few blocks down from the Pizza Corner," Raven said abruptly, looking ahead as the city drew steadily closer. "I might be hungry still after pizza." Beast Boy grinned at her, nodding.

"Yeah, I have a feeling that I might not eat enough at the Pizza Corner," he declared with a smile for the dark girl. His arm swayed to the side, brushing her hand, and Raven stepped maybe an inch closer, joining their fingers as they walked into the city.

Behind the two, Starfire held her hands together over her heart and looked at Robin. "Robin, are they not the most adorable?" she asked in a quiet tone so Raven and Beast Boy wouldn't hear.

Robin laughed at her muted excitement. "I'm glad they're happy."

"As am I." Starfire grasped his arm, tilting her head toward him and whispering in his ear. "I am also glad that your identity was kept a secret, Richard."

"Me too," he admitted, trying to hide the blush on his face from her close proximity to him. "If I had been wrong, Control Freak would have known who I was. Who knows how badly that could have messed up our lives?" He paused. "Still, not everything we went through in the white box was awful."

"I agree." Starfire caught his cheek with a quick kiss, causing Robin's face to turn a darker shade of scarlet. "We have revealed many of the secrets to one another.

Robin rubbed his cheek softly. "Exactly." His hand dropped to his side. "I feel like a weight's been lifted from my shoulders."

"As do I!" Starfire pressed a finger to her lips. "Has Control Freak brought us closer together through his trying to learn our secrets?"

"I doubt he meant to," Robin said, "but telling our feelings to each other has brought us closer together. At least, for you and I. Raven and Beast Boy… I have my suspicions the same has happened." He smirked at the pair holding hands ahead of them, and, following their example, Robin entwined his fingers with Starfire. "But not just romantically. I think our team will be a lot closer because of this. No one has anything they're hiding anymore; Control Freak made sure of that." Despite one of the most difficult tests the Titans had endured during their time together thus far, the hardships had not shattered the team. Rather, the Voice's trials brought them closer. The five Titans now shared a bond that was nearly impossible to break.

"I am happy that there are no secrets. We should have no mysteries hidden from one another anymore," Starfire declared. She beamed at Robin and then her friends. "We are a family."

"Yeah." Robin smiled in return." We are."

The End

I believe that I have found the best reviewers on Fanfiction. I had so many fantastic reviews and ideas given to me for this story, and I only wish I could have included all the suggestions. Still, the sheer amount of involvement from everyone was fantastic. I probably looked forward to your reviews more than you looked forward to the next chapter! I cannot express my thanks enough.

I loved reading the guesses for the Voice, and everyone had fantastic hypotheses, so much so that I was tempted to change the villain at times! Congratulations to those who did figure out the Voice's real identity, and I hope no one was disappointed.

Now if you're up for another story, I would love it if you checked out what else I have written. If you don't feel like reading another long story, I just posted my first chapter to Heading Home. I have high hopes for the story, and I hope it is as well received as Box of Little White Lies was.

Thank you for reading.
