**Quick note. This is happening DURING the exsanguinations case.
What Happens When Your World Disappears?
"NO!" Spencer shouted as he realized what Dianne was about to do. His pupils dilated in shock as he heard the shot. The bullet might as well have entered his heart because he was pretty sure it had stopped; completely. Never to beat again. The tears came thick and fast as he watched Maeve fall to the floor in what felt like slow motion. The young Doctor turned away from the scene before him, ignoring the shocked and sympathetic looks from his colleagues. He couldn't deal with it. Maeve was gone. The one person that might have wanted to be with him in any kind of way was gone. Forever.
2 weeks later**
"Look Reid, I'm seriously worried and I can't sleep and I just want to see your pretty boy face." Penelope Garcia knocked on the door of the Agent's flat. When there was no answer she turned around and rested her head on the door. She let her legs slowly carry her down the door until she sat against it, knees pulled to her chest. She took the time to look around the landing area before that held the entrance to the genius's humble abode. Everything looked slightly gloomier than what she remembered from the last time she had been at his home. "Can you at least just let me know that you're alive? You spoke to me once and that was with Morgan. I know you liked the baskets I sent. You must have run out of coffee by now. I can get that." She added frantically.
A half hour later and the Tech Analyst got up, finally giving in with a deep sigh. "I'll come back tomorrow, and the next day. You should just know that we're all worried." She said finally, walking down the stairs. She couldn't believe what she'd heard when the others returned without Maeve. She also noticed that Reid wasn't with him and they informed her that he'd gone home and locked Morgan out, denying anyone entrance.
Spencer locked the door with the intention of not unlocking it for a very long time. He'd set up a routine whereby he would sleep during the day and wake during the early hours to shop at the local 24 hour supermarket down the road.
"Pretty boy, we're profilers. We know how to follow people around. Your routine made it too easy." Derek Morgan smirked, standing with his back against the wall by the young doctor's apartment. They'd got back from the case the day before and Garcia had had eyes on him since he'd locked himself away. The other man shuddered slightly at being caught out and pulled his coat tighter around his sweat pants and loose shirt. He hadn't seen the point in dressing himself very well since the only person he'd wanted to improve himself for was now gone.
Just wondering whether y'all would like to see anymore of this?
