Discovery?
Naruto peered at the building and sighed. What was it with people who had bad intentions always going to some dark dingy place to plot and do their evil deeds? Really first Orochimaro, then the Akutsuki. It seemed as though it might be in their genes to find these places. He shrugged his shoulders and made a hand sign. Next to him appeared and exact replica of himself.
"Go ahead and scout the interior for me and let me know if I need to get in there fast," here he paused and scratched his cheek. "Of course you never know I may not be needed like I think, but I can't get that stench out of my nose."
"You got it boss!" his shadow clone yelled as it took off in a flash. Naruto continued towards the building holding his kunai and twirling it now and again. He was waiting for his clone to let him know what was going on. He had grown a lot smarter than he used to be especially in situations like this. He wouldn't just rush in without thinking or scouting. No that could get him killed or others killed and had learned to not be so reckless.
The clone entered the building moving quickly and quietly. Once inside the clone nearly choked on the stench of blood and death that permeated the building. Clone Naruto moved quietlyto the rafters of the building and tried to spot his targets. After just a few moments he found them. The man was lying on the ground face down unmoving. There was a pool of blood on the ground that was slowly spreading and the clone looked at the woman to see if she had a weapon. She had no weapon but he took note of the huge grin on her face, blood covering that grin and a wild look in her black eyes.
The clone watched her and a small giggle started to wrack her body which caused a few drops of blood to fall down from her chin and land upon the puddle of blood gathering at her feet. Her body started to change and her cloths tore and her torso elongated. She grew a massive belly and her face went from pretty to hideous. Claws grew on her hands and feet and scales on her lower body. She was utterly ugly now, and the clone didn't know what was going on. She hadn't used a jutsu of that he was certain. The closest thing he could think of was possibly a cursed mark that went horribly wrong but that didn't seem to be the case here. The clone dispelled itself then giving its memories to the real Naruto.
He sighed as the memories came flooding in, his eyes closed. "Seems I'm too late. I suppose I should take care of her though. I can't let her go around killing people." No one has that right to just kill. I hate killing, he grumbled to himself under his breath as he pulled out a kunai. He ran silently to the building and darted inside sticking to the shadows making no more noise than the shadows he was currently hiding in.
He peered around and noted that there was a single light bulb suspended in the center of the rather large room casting a soft yellow glow. It wasn't enough to penetrate to the edges of the room though so he knew he was still hidden at least from sight, not from other forms of tracking though. That light seemed so dim to Naruto as though try as it might it just couldn't bring light to such a dark and rotten place.
In this time all of a few seconds the smell of carrion reached his nostrils and nearly made him gag. If he had been made of weaker stuff it surely would have, though in his time he had seen his fair share of death. Some of the remains here had apparently been here for quite some time to be that rank. So much death and Naruto had never understood the whole point of killing. Once someone was dead they couldn't change. It was why he had made so many friends, turning old enemies into new friends. He didn't kill, not unless it was truly a last resort. This thing though, this woman reveled in it. It brought her joy and Naruto knew that he had to do something or she would continue to kill innocents.
He drew a kunai and crouched down holding the kunai against his forearm. He knew that she would eventually move into the light and that would be when he would strike. He breathed softly gazing feeling the familiar weight of his kunai, it had been awhile since he had felt slightly exicited about a fight. "Oh how great of a night this has been! He was so tasty now I just need a slightly younger one, that way I have my desert. Maybe a high school girl," the creature talked to itself not realizing that it had a visitor.
Hearing the words caused Naruto to tighten his grip on the kunai and he darted up the wall that was to his back getting the high ground to better observe the area that he would be battling the woman, creature, or whatever it, she was. A slow smile made its way onto his face as he remembered the cursed mark and what it made its bearers look like.
He gazed down and was disgusted as he noted the sheer number of bodies scattered around. He couldn't believe that he hadn't noticed them at first. The center of the room was littered with bodies some recent some older leaving only bones some of which were broken open. There were blood stained cloths tossed haphazardly around and blood upon the ground and blood splashed about like someone took a bucket full and just tossed it around the place. Off in one corner was even a spot where this woman kept her trinkets from her kills. There was various types of jewelry, wallets and the like all tossed in a corner like so much garbage. There was even a area for pictures from those wallets of loved ones that would never get to see their family members again, they would never know what happened to their loved ones.
"Hmmm, it would seem that maybe desert came to me," came an alluring woman's voice from below him and off to his left near the base of a support column. Out of the dark stepped the woman in her transformed body. The voice surely didn't belong to what came into view though. She stood nearly 10 feet tall, scales covering her upper body while her lower was covered in more of a hard leathery skin, green color with an undertone of yellow. She had a tail that swished back and forth much like an agitated cat. Her face was that of a human woman, the one she wore to seduce her kills. She had two long fangs poking out from her mouth and as Naruto watched she brought one hand up to her face tracing one extremely long fingernail down her check and wicked smile etched onto her features.
"Come to me my little bunny," she all but purred.
From his vantage he threw his kunai, it whistled threw the air but to his surprise was batted aside by one scale covered hand. The kunai clanged off the wall and fell to the ground still, no sound was heard except the breathing of the woman. Her eyes darted up to where the kunai had came from but there was no one there.
Naruto had ran along the ceiling to get behind her and had come most of the way down the wall so that he was about head high on her. Her eyes kept darting around trying to find her new toy but then she heard the sound of stone crunching underfoot and she whipped around in time to see Naruto hurling towards her his hand extended and a glowing blue ball of swirling air in said hand. She threw her arms instinctively to block the attack and the glowing blue ball crashed into her forearms.
She screamed out in pain as it felt as if the flesh on her arms was literally torn to shreds. She then realized she was flying back and slammed into the wall making a small crater where her body had impacted. Dust and bits of stone rained down on her form as she lay there for a moment to gather her thoughts and try to make sense of what just happened. She was a damn Devil! How the hell did a human do that? How did a mere human hurt her. It was obvious he was human his smell, and the fact that he didn't use light led her to that conclusion. Also he was most definitely not a devil.
She blinked her eyes to clear the tears that had gathered and inspected her arms. She was right it appeared as if some of the flesh on her arms had been torn free and blood was dripping from the wound. The wound itself was unique in that it looked as though someone had twisted all the skin into a central point, making a concentric circlular wound.
Her eyes narrowed and her voice dropped a octave, "Oh the pain i'm going to inflict on you, you worthless little bastard."

Rias turned to her friend and queen Akeno. "Did you feel that?"
"Yes I did, it would seem the stray is getting a little careless," Akeno replied a glint in her eye. Oh the fun she was going to have it just made her excited! Just the thought of what the stray was going to endure turned her on and unconsciously her hand slid up her thigh and made its way towards her mouth where a single finger got to make its residence.
Rias rolled her eyes, "Akeno please control your urges." She turned to the rest of the club. "Let's go, we will teleport as close as we can and then from there we will close on the stray and finish our job."
"Yes president," came three voices in unison. The four of them made their way to the circle that Akeno had summoned.
"Akeno how was Naruto, did he take it well not getting to have his classes today?" Ris was truly curious as he was unlike most anyone that she had ever met.
Akeno paused and Rias didn't quite know how to read Akeno's body language. "Akeno?" she promted.
"He seemed to take it well but he also told me to say that he didn't want to get in the way of us visiting your family as I told him that was what we had to do," Akeno's voice was softer as she said this. "Rias I couldn't be sure but I thought I saw something in his eyes and expression when I told him. I can't put my finger on what it was but . . . I have to say it didn't seem like it was an expression that should be worn by Naruto."
Akeno turned to look at Rias and Rias could tell that it had affected her best friend whatever it was that she had seen in Naruo's expression. "Maybe we will ask him Akeno he seems open enough that he would tell us." In truth Rias was concerned. In the time that they had known him Naruto had never really given them a look or said anything that had made one of them truly sad.
Akeno grinned, "Yeah you're right besides I told him to make it up to him that he could go lingerie shopping with us."
"You what!" Rias nearly yelled but calmed down just as quickly as Akeno winked at her and they disappeared from the club room.
***** Scene*****
Naruto watched as the woman slowly stood up and inspected the wounds that he had inflicted. In truth he was a bit surprised as not many could take a rasengan like that and get up so easily even though she had blocked it with her forearms. His mind went through his jutsus and stood lightly on the balls of his feet ready to dodge should a attack come.
"You know what you are doing is wrong. I don't know why you are doing it but to take someone's life," here he paused. "You are taking away everything from them at that moment. Everything that they could have been, everything that they are, ending them and banishing them to being just a memory and then to not even that."
The woman's gaze hardened, "Aren't you an idealistic little prick. What do you care, did you know any of these," here she gestured to the many bones littering the place. "I doubt it, your act doesn't fool me. You have the stench of blood about you as well."
Naruto knew that she was right. He had killed, but it didn't mean he had to like it. He avoided it at all costs if possible. Hell a lot of his friends had been enemies! It was one of the many reasons he was against killing.
Naruto opened his mouth to speak but was cut off, "Just shut up! You know nothing of me you damn self-righteous bastard!" As she finished speaking she dashed forward and swung her clawed hand for his face.
Naruto leaned back out of the way and she moved forward bringing her elbow down on his chest. Naruto felt the blow and it was like getting hit by Rock Lee, it hurt! He allowed his body to hit the ground and rolled back, coming to his feet where he pumped chakra to his feet and leapt back about 15 feet. Man he was rusty to be hit by that. He sighed as he realized he had, had it too easy here.
The woman started to make a choking sound which caused Naruto to look at her curiously. "Hey," but he didn't get to finish as she spit at him. The glob came hurtling towards him and he dashed to side to avoid it and where it landed the stone hissed.
Acid he thought to himself. He turned his gaze to her to have his eyes widen as she was standing right in front of him and he knew he was screwed. Her claws flashed and sliced him across the chest, and she followed that by a kick to his stomach which sent him hurtling across the room to land heavily. He stood up quickly and realized he actually needed to take this a little more serious. Just because he didn't know what she was or what he was fighting didn't mean he needed to act like some genin! Kakashi would never let him live down this battle if he were to see it.
Naruto reached back and grabbed a kunai and his hand flashed forward sending it towards his opponet. Her eyes widened slightly as she realized the human still had fight left in him. She went to bat aside the kunai but it was then that it exploded in front of her face. "Ahh," she yelled in pain but naruto had already started to move. He darted in from the side landing a punch to her ribs. As she folded over to cover her ribs he brought a knee up as he leapt into the air driving said knee into her nose where he heard the satisfying crunch.
She stumbled back realizing that this human was much more dangerous that she previously thought. "You," she started venom dripping from her voice only to be stopped as a fist collided with her jaw making her bite her tongue, nearly biting it in half. She reeled back and spit a mouthful of blood to the side, but luck seemed to be on her side as her blood splattered across Naruto's face. He continued with his attack though driving his elbow into her throat. She realized what he was doing and tightened the muscles in her neck to lesson the damage and reached up to grab him, but instead grabbed his arm and with surprising speed yet again she bit down on his arm, his bicep.
Naruto hadn't expected to have blood spit in his face or what were the chances of her picking the spot he was going to attack from. He finished his attack anyway though but then he felt her teeth sink into the flesh of his arm. "Shit," he cursed, as he made a handsign and she was biting down on a old broken piece of wood.
"What the hell," she grumbled as she spit out the board she had been chewing on. She was sure she had bit him, then she realized she had. She still had the taste of his blood in her mouth but he someone had managed to teleport away from her and put a board in his place.
Naruto's arm hurt like hell now. Her fighting is so different from anyone I've fought before, I'm better than this. I just didn't want to have to resort to using too many jutsu's. Naruto went through a couple quick handsigns and brought his hands up in front of his face. Flames shot out from his mouth in a roiling ball of fire and shot towards her. His fireball didn't have near the range of most people's but that was fine. He was close. Boy he was glad that he hadn't wasted his years here and tried to learn the other elements jutsu's. He'd have to thank the fox later. "Don't do me any favors, you useless sack of flesh."
He couldn't see his enemy anymore as the ball of fire eclipsed where she was standing but there was no scream of pain, then he felt a new presence behind him. Naruto jumped to the left and turned his gaze from his fireball jutsu to what appeared to be a spear made from light sticking in the ground where he had been standing only moments before.
"So you are the worthless devil who has been running rampant," came a voice from above Naruto. He gaze traveled up and found a man in a fedora hat and trench coat on. "I'll kill you you worthless devil."
Naruto's gaze hardened, "Im no devil you bastard!" At that time the smoke cleared and Naruto's other opponet looked dazed but down for the count.
She looked around and hissed upon seeing the man in rafters. "A fallen angel, I guess I'll have to kill you too."
The man looked from Naruto back to the obviously stray devil. He reached and felt for Naruto and his eyes widened slightly. "A human fighting a devil? Well that is something you don't see everyday."
Just then another spear of light sailed through the air and the woman dodged to the side. Naruto watched the for a second. Something was off. He didn't know what it was for sure but neither one of the people before him seemed to be good. That was just a feeling but having the man attack him for no reason didn't give a vote of confidence to Naruto that the man was someone with the best interests of people at heart.
Naruto faded back into the shadows. It was then that he felt another group of people approaching. He knew at that point that he needed to leave. He had fought an enemy he knew nothing about and he hadn't even really pushed himself. He hadn't really used any jutsu's. Naruto knew after his last exchange with her that he would have won with just taijutsu had he wanted to and in truth his own taijutsu wasn't on par with Rock Lee or Neji.
Naruto left the fight and ran up the side of the building and crouched by the exit. One of his other clones came up to him to confirm what he thought he had felt. "Another group that feels a bit like these two are on their way boss."
Naruto nodded and the clone dispersed. He darted out of the building just as it came crashing down, from an enourmous attack. Naruto felt one of the signatures in the building wink out. He shook his head sadly. He hated to see anyone die.
He made it the top of a nearby building and took off towards his own place. He needed to get back and think about what had just happened and the last thing he needed was for someone to spot him here with a building that had collapsed. He had enough issues as it was, he didn't need to add anymore to his long list.
As he traveled along the rooftops he reached up and felt where he had been bitten. It burned, it actually hurt a hell of a lot. He was still bleeding and so he tore his other sleeve off and tied it around the bite mark. Naurto knew there was something off about his wound but he wasn't sure what it was. It felt as though acid was burning him from the inside. It wasn't the worst wound he had ever sustained and he knew it would also not be the last wound he would ever sustain.
He continued to leap from building to building leaving the church and the battle behind him. At least with the arrival of the man he didn't have to worry about being the one to kill the woman. He was sure it was her who had died. This way as well he didn't end up doing anything that may paint a massive target on his back. He had lived with one of those for much too long. He had to admit that at least here whereever here was he didn't have people hunting him or trying to get things out of him. It was nice to just kind of be like everyone else. It was nice but it was also boring he realized the more he thought about.
That fight he had to admit had started to get his blood pumping. His heart had been beating faster, and his senses had started to knock the dust off. He had been falling back into being what he was. A ninja, a warrior, a jinchuriki. He missed it he suddenly realized. He missed the fights, the excitement that came with them. It was a realization that he wasn't 100 percent sure he liked.
* * * Scene * * *
Rais and her peerage arrived at where they knew the stray was to be located only to find a building that had recently collapsed in a old part of town. Koneko could smell blood, and she turned to Rias, "There was a fight here. I can smell the blood."
Rias nodded. She had deduced the same from the wreckage. "Everyone fan out. We don't have long before the police show up and others. I want to find something out about what happened here."
"Yes Buchou," the called in unison. She sighed to herself. This was going to be a problem if there was someone attacking strays. This was her job and she took it very serious. She hoped that something turned up.
"Buchou, here is the body," Kiba called. They all ran over to where he was standing. Laying there buried under a lot of rubble was the body of the stray.
"Koneko, could you please move the rubble so we can examine her wounds."
Koneko noodded without a word and shifted the massive stones to the side or tossing them away. Anyone watching wouldn't have know what to think, mostly that they were dreaming. There was no way such a small girl could do what she was doing.
Kiba knelt down and examined the body. "There are wounds are her arms that i've never seen anything like them." His eyes roamed her body and he moved her arm from where it lay across her chest.
All their eyes widened. "Well it looks like we may have a fallen angel running around," Rias said. There was a wound that was burned right through her heart. Carved into her chest was one word. "Devil."
There was the sound of sirens and Rias summoned her magic circle. Everyone stepped inside and they teleported back to the clubroom. It was at that moment that she was receiving a summons. It was from someone that had accepted one of their flyers. "I really don't want to do this right now but a contract is a contract. Would you come with me Akeno?"
"Of course Buchou, with the two of us it shouldn't take too long."
They summoned another circle and disappeared.
