Rick:
She came in like an avenging angel. At first he thought he might be having visions again. A vision of fire and brimstone. Carol, goddess of destruction, laying waste to all before her.
But she was real.
"Carol," he heard her name on the hunter's lips, disbelief in his voice.
Rick stared, speechless, as she walked toward him.
She stopped before him.
"Rick, it's me."
The same words she had said when he banished her. When he had sent her to an almost certain death. Yet here she was-having helped to save them all.
Just like the first time she had been found after being lost to them, he embraced her.
"Carol. I'm so sorry. You're here. You're alive," his voice breaking.
She gently pushed him away from her and stepped back slightly.
"Rick, there's someone you need to see."
Carol turned away from him and motioned to someone standing in the shadows.
"Tyreese."
He was with her. Did he know? Questions ran through his mind but they were left unanswered, to be addressed later, as he realized that Tyreese had something strapped to his chest. Not something, someone. Judith.
"How? How did you? She's?," was all he could stammer.
"Carol and I had her," Tyreese answered as he removed Judith from the carrier and put her in Rick's shaking hands.
Tyreese stood next to Carol and put a hand on her shoulder as he gave a nod of acknowlgment to Daryl who was still staring at Carol in wonder.
Carl:
"Dad!," he cried, running toward his father and launching himself at him like he had done when he was a little boy. Rick let out a joyful laugh as he embraced Carl, trying not to crush Judith, who let out a small cry of alarm as she was momentarily caught between her brother and father. Carl and Rick stood close as they touched Judith in wonder and lavished her with kisses as she squirmed happily.
Daryl:
He stood watching as she was hugged by Rick just as he had done that time before. He was frozen in place. Then Tyreese was there was Ass-Kicker. He saw Tyreese put his hand on her shoulder as he nodded to him, saying all that needed to be said for now. No matter what had transpired, she was okay. They were okay. He finally moved and she was in his arms. He buried his head in her neck, muttering name, as he clutched her to him. She clung to him, unable to form words at the moment, but knowing that he was here and he had her. He had her.
Hearing the commotion, the others appeared. Sasha let out a scream as she saw Tyreese and was quickly enveloped in a bear hug. Crying and laughing at the same time, she kept repeating, It's you. It's really you."
Daryl and Carol took no notice. They were lost in each other.
The others stood around them, clustered with their newly reunited loved ones. Carl now holding Judith who was reaching out her chubby arms to Rick who had just turned back toward her.
Sasha holding Tyreese's arm and patting it again and again as if to prove he was real. Bob stood aside with a smile
Tara leaned a little toward Glenn who had his arm around Maggie and a proud look on his face. "So they're?.." she asked quietly. "Yes, they are." was Glenn's answer.
Eugene openly staring with his mouth agape.
Abraham smirking and nodding his head. "Well look at that." Rosita nudging him with her elbow but nonetheless smiling at the sight of Daryl and Carol in a passionate embrace.
Slowly the others turned and walked away giving the newly reunited couple their space.
