Mother's Eyes

He couldn't quite put a finger why the kid was so familiar.

It was strange, though for a moment he saw himself in Peter. Stubborn, liked to get himself into trouble, quick witted. The boy reminded Erik of his younger self before the war in Europe.

He was a mutant as well. He had the power to run at the speed of light. Erik had to admit, it was pretty amazing.

For a moment, he thought he saw Peter's eyes some where before. It had the same warmness he saw in his mother's eyes…

Could it be? No… Was it possible he was his father? It couldn't be. He met a few girls here and there. Had a couple of nights, though ever since Cuba and the Kennedy assassination, there hadn't been much time to even focus on a girl. Settling down was out of the question, since being on the run wasn't a way to raise a child.

When he looks at Peter, Erik sometimes sees his mother in him.

The kid was amazing, though. A bit wayward here and there, though he had some sense in him. With his speed, any father would be proud of his ability.

He sort of did have his noes…
