I was actually doing this for my English assignment for Home-Based Learning (HBL), or e-Learning, as some of you call it, and I was supposed to create annotate a poem from one of a few. I chose this one and it was actually quite nice, so I decided to convert it into a fanfiction. It only has 1 chapter, so you don't have to worry about updates. Enjoy! :)

Hades' POV

Persephone, I thought dreamily, as I sat on my throne, staring out into empty space.

It was a usual day. Souls wandering around with nothing to do, souls going to the river Lethe to be reborn, souls sent to the Fields of Asphodel for happiness for eternity, souls sent to the Fields of Punishment. Everything was to do with souls.

It was so boring in here. The only decoration here was Cerberus, my beautiful and wondrous dog, the architecture, and the pomegranates, though no one would actually admire the pomegranates.

Persephone, I thought again. I sighed heavily. She would never come down here, would she? No. It's not like she even likes me, I thought again as I dreamed of her beautiful face, and…and…

"Daily report: 2748 souls have newly joined, 2085 souls have gone for rebirth. Today's replacement rate has been exceptionally…" I heard a voice.

"Go away, Fates," I shooed them away as they interrupted my thought.

"Hades," I heard a voice. Was it female? I think it was. It sounded like Persephone. I must be dreaming. It was impossible for her to come down to the underworld. She was probably somewhere above, caring for her beautiful flowers, as beautiful as herself.

I felt a grip on my shoulder. Wow, my imagination's really wonderful.

"Hades, it's me," came Persephone's voice again.

It was so real, but yet it did not seem so. I turned.

There was Persephone. Happiness was radiating off her as she smiled sweetly down at me. She kissed me gently. The Underworld immediately filled with light. I am so lucky, I thought as I poured all the compassion to her. All my worries and concerns were immediately gone.

Persephone's POV

Walking through the fields of flowers that were blooming, I sighed heavily. Everything around me was beautiful, but I could feel that I was missing something.

Wondering what it was, I walked back to my mom's, Demeter, house. She was the goddess of agriculture.

"Hey, why the gloomy face?" Demeter asked, "You look just like Hades!"

That's it! "Thanks mum!" I cried out as I rushed into my room.

I took one of my precious pearls and crushed it. I was instantaneously teleported to the Underworld. I appeared behind Hades. He appeared deep in thought. I called, "Hades!"

Hades' face lit up, but he did not turn, instead it went down and he appeared deep in thought again.

Who is he thinking of? Is it...another woman?

I gulped at the thought. I reached my hand out and put it on his shoulder. "Hades?" I called out again.

Hades turned towards me. Within that split second, all my suspicion melted out of my body as he kissed me deeply. I knew from then on, that he would never break an oath that he had sworn on the River Styx.

So, yeah, it's really short, I know. It's my first attempt at a one-shot, so hope you guys enjoy.
