Too Far Gone
The next morning Dad went to go farm with Carl. I told him to go tell Daryl about Carol before helping Carl. I was told that everyone who was still alive with the flu will live. That meant Sophia and Glenn were gonna be okay.
We were lucky.
I knew I had to apologize to my dad about what I've been talking about the last few days. About everyone dying and all that. We were gonna be okay again. It always seems like that. We find something good, something bad happens, then we fix it and everything's okay again.
After helping Carl we went back inside and I went to visit Sophia. I didn't tell her about Carol, I couldn't. I read her a story before there was an explosion and the prison shook.
"I'll be back." I told her before running outside.
I ran over to Carl and some of the others.
"Bella." Carl whispered, pointing to something outside of the prison.
I looked to where he was pointing and saw someone I knew we would see again.
The Governor.
And he had a tank.
"Get back!" Dad yelled as he and Daryl ran over.
"Rick!" The Governor yelled, "Come down here. We need to talk."
I looked at all of the cars around the Governor and the people who had weapons.
Remember when I said that when something bad happens, we fix it and everything's okay again?
Well, something bad is about to happen again.
"It's not up to me!" Dad replied. "There's a council now. They run this place."
"Is Hershel on the council?" He asked before Hershel was brought out and shoved onto his knees. "What about Michonne? She on the council, too?"
They also brought her out and placed her next to Hershel.
"I don't make decisions anymore!"
"You're making the decisions today, Rick. Come down here. Let's have a talk." The Governor replied.
Dad looked at Daryl and they both nodded. Dad went over to me and Carl, "We can do this, all right?"
We nodded at each other before dad opened the gate and across the field towards the Governor. I took Carl's hat off for a moment, kissing his head, before putting it back on his head.
"We can't take 'em all on." Daryl said to all of us, "We'll go through the admin buildin', through the woods like we planned. We ain't got the numbers no more. When's the last time someone checked the stash on the bus?"
"Day before we hit the Big Spot." Sasha answered, "We were running low on rations then. We're even lower now."
"Yeah, we'll manage. Things go south, everyone heads for that bus. Let everybody know."
"What if everybody doesn't know when things go bad?" Tyreese questioned. "How long do we wait."
"As long as we can." Daryl answered.
Daryl pulled me aside and put his hands in my back pockets, "I love you." He said before kissing me.
"I love you, too." I replied before he pulled away and grabbed the basket of guns, handing each of us one.
We watched as Dad and the Governor spoke. He even pulled out his guns and shot a few walkers heading towards his new group.
"We got to do something." Carl said as we aimed our guns for the Governor.
"You dad's go it." Daryl replied.
"They're talking. We could kill the Governor right not." Carl responded.
"From 50 yards?" I questioned.
"I'm a good shot." Carl said.
"Yeah, I know. It runs in the family." I smirked.
"I could end this right now." Carl continued.
"Yeah, or you could start somethin' else." Daryl replied. "You got to trust 'im."
After a few minutes, you could tell the Governor was frustrated. He jumped from the tank and grabbed Michonne's katana and put it to Hershel's throat. I swallowed nervously before putting my finger on the trigger, ready to fire at any moment.
Dad started talking to the people around the Governor, probably trying to convince them to put down their weapons and we could all live together. The Governor moved the sword away from Hershel's neck, and I thought it was over.
But I was wrong. Way wrong.
The Governor raised the katana before bringing it down on Hershel's neck.
"No!" Dad screamed before we all started shooting. Over the gun shots, I heard Maggie and Beth's crying. I couldn't blame them. They saw their father killed right in front of them. I saw Dad run behind the prison bus that was in the courtyard and Michonne rolled away from the people and behind the cars.
I only aimed for one person in particular. The Governor.
He was the reason for all of this. He was the reason Maggie and Beth lost their father. And we lost a loyal friend. The reason Daryl lost Merle, and we lost Oscar and and Axel. The reason we lost so much.
We kept shooting and the tank crashed through our fences. I got separated from Carl and Daryl, but I kept shooting. I went to tower one, which was on fire, and went into the path between the fences. The Governor his behind the bus, but where was dad?
I was able to get by the bus, too. And the Governor and his group didn't see me. I tackled the one eyed man and punched him in the face a few times,
"You dick! Don't you realize what you're doing to us!" I screamed, "You started this! This was all you! These people will die because of you! You selfish bastard!"
I punched him a once more before I was pulled off by my dad and he started punching him, "Go, Arabella, go!"
I did what dad said and ran back to the courtyard, shooting people and walkers as I went. I turned back around and noticed that the Governor had dad on the ground and was punching him. I aimed my gun and shit him in the shoulder. I aimed again and saw Michonne come up behind him and I smirked. As she thrusted her sword into his chest, I shot him in the neck. The fucker deserved becoming one of the living dead.
"Arabella!" I heard some one scream and I saw walkers heading towards me.
I tried to pull my trigger, but I was out of bullets. I grabbed my knife and stabbed them
"Arabella!" Dad screamed before pain pulsed throughout my body and everything went black.
This was the last chapter of this story!
