This Christmas, the town for Forks had decided to throw a Christmas bash for the whole town and of course, Alice had jumped at the idea and headed up the decorative and planning committee, planning a party sure to blow everyone's mind.

Unfortunately, that meant that Bonnie, along with the rest of the Cullen's had been strong armed into helping the little pixie vampire, and Alice had left the very important task of decorating the tree to Bonnie and Edward. The latter, however, was far less than enthused with the idea of handling all those tiny, sparkly and delicate decorations all afternoon.

"Oh, stop being such a Grinch," Bonnie said, noticing that Edward's frown hadn't disappeared in the whole time they had been decorating the tree. "This isn't that horrible, is it?" she asked as she picked up another ornament from the box to put on the tree.

Edward was about to say something but Alice had come over to them.

"You can't put that one there," she said to him and pointed to the ornament that he had just hung up. "You have one just like it next to it."

Bonnie noticed him inhale an agitated breath and remove the decoration, making a dramatic show of placing it further away from the alleged look alike.

"That's better," Alice beamed and turned to check on Rosalie and Emmett's progress with decorating the hall.

"I know this isn't exactly what you had planned for us today but we're still here together, that counts for something, right?" Bonnie said and moved closer to him, placing her hand on his arm.

Bonnie was flying out in two days to spend Christmas with her mother and Edward was hoping to have Bonnie all to himself but Alice taking control of this Christmas party had thrown a wrench in his plans.

"I'm only going to be gone for a week," she reminded him and stretched up to place a kiss on his cheek.

"I know," he finally spoke. "I just didn't plan on sharing your attention with my family and the whole town today."

He turned and looked at her, his hands finding her hips.

Bonnie smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "I know, I wish we could spend Christmas together but I need to fix things with my mother."

Edward dropped his head and pressed his lips against her forehead. "I'll just have to give you your present early, then," he said and she could feel his grin.

"You already have," Bonnie said softly and closed her eyes. "You make me happy, Edward," she said and opened her eyes to look at him. "All I want is to know that you'll be here when I get back because I love you more than you can imagine."

I wrote this just before last Christmas but due to not having my laptop I couldn't upload it and then I forgot all about it until I found it in a folder with 5 other one shots.
