Annab23: Glad you liked the chapter will be planning on keeping it that length as to not split up the story unless I wanna put a cliff hanger on you guys .

Chapter Two: Battle for Olympus

Everyone on Olympus was rushing around with the armies of the Olympians returning to their respective domains it would be a battle between Immortals, In the throne room the Gods were discussing battle plans on how to defeat the mighty Typhon with many simply arguing that he was too strong.

"Silence!" Zeus boomed causing everyone to glance towards him.

"We can beat him if we fight together, we beat the titans we can sure as Gaia beat Typhon" he tried to rally his siblings but many were still doubtful of success. The next problem would be ruling the world as they would eventually have to fight the titans who were reforming in Tartarus and when they came back their greatest ally would switch sides.

"If we remain doubtful and negative there will only be one outcome and that is our destruction, we must fight with all our hearts to establish our reign over this world. We are better than Kronos and the titans this is our chance to prove it" Poseidon stood up slamming his trident into the ground after his little speech. His siblings were looking at him with awe and quickly changed the look on their faces from sadness to that of determination.

"What advantages can we use against him?" Poseidon continued trying to continue the optimism he had encouraged.

"He is large so won't be able to move fast, if we could find some weak spots we could manoeuvre around him and fire at his vulnerable parts or force him into domains we control such as the sky and the sea if we could force him into tartarus we could easily deal with him but there is risk in that he could help break the titans out again" Athena promptly spoke up causing Poseidon to look confusingly at her, when was she on the council?

"She is the newest member of the council brother as she is the Goddess of Wisdom something we will need in this war brother" Zeus saw the look that Poseidon gave and wanted to defend her place as an Olympian after all she was his daughter and this was his first step into retaining power filling the council with Gods that would support him and who else but his own children.

Poseidon just seemed to shrug and fall back into his throne eager to here the ideas the young Goddess had to share, Admittedly her suggestion was good but she seemed to forget that they were atop a mountain where there was no sea, Hades couldn't send the monster straight to Tartarus without it causing chaos in the eternal pit and Zeus was about as powerful as school girl without his bolt which asserted his position of power as King of the Gods.

They were finished he thought with his hand slumped on his chin forcing it to remain up and to look like he was remotely interested in what was going on, truth be told he was glad not to be king it would mean too much time from the Ocean and he got antsy when he was away especially for long periods of time.

Hades also shared the same opinion as Poseidon on the new addition to the council but continued to ignore what everyone was saying, feeling slightly vulnerable away from the underworld no matter how much he hated the place.

"Where is our sister" Zeus shouted looking around frantically, a sudden flash into the throne room revealed Antheia in battle armour with symbol of Kronos still blazoned along the chestplate.

"Typhon has agreed to fight you away from Olympus as he is confident he will win, but will show no mercy to anyone who Gaia has deemed a traitor to father" she spoke up and a few relieved faces meant that they had a little more time to plan and prepare but Zeus being himself spoke up again.

"How would you know this? Are you in league with Gaia?" he said shaking the throne room, Antheia just smiled smugly towards him.

"Maybe I am or maybe I'm not" she replied though the others knew she was still on their side Zeus was borderline furious until Hera whispered something to him and he calmed down and sank into his throne a little due the embarrassment he was now feeling.

"Typhon isn't a tactical genius and he does not yet know I fight for you, he believes that I still follow my father" she admitted but the more she thought about it she hadn't declared herself an Olympian and was only stuck here because she didn't win the fight which also annoyed her.

"Well atleast we have that as an advantage" Poseidon spoke up with a collective nod of heads around the throne room, whilst sending a small smile towards Antheia.

"I must be honest with you I feel extremely conflicted on fighting Typhon, I-I don't want to be seen as a traitor towards my father so if you will give me some personal space until you decide to go off and fight him" Antheia flashed out before anyone could question her and went to Hestia's palace as she didn't have one of her own.

The council were confused, conversations going across the throne room and it only took Zeus to rile it all up again.

"She is still loyal towards that Bastard..." he announced and a lightning bolt hit the throne room shaking it, he got the message of not insulting Kronos although they had ample reason to do so.

"She doesn't trust us brother, father kept her from mother and brought her up to serve him which is why she served him with unquestioning loyalty. When she found out that I was her brother on the battlefield that didn't stop her from trying to kill me and mother" Poseidon said defensively causing some of the Goddesses to smirk towards him, he saw them and began to blush furiously before trying to cover it up luckily his brothers didn't see him.

Antheia was crying in the corner of the room Hestia had given her, she didn't want to be seen as a traitor to her father and without any way of talking to him she would have to accept the fact that he would be ashamed of her, she started crying with renewed vigor.

"Hello Granddaughter what's got you so upset" I soothing female voice, there was only one grandmother I had and that was... Gaia oh gods now it would all come out.

"Hello Grandmother, the Olympians I hate them all" I said out loud and I could swear she was smiling, I loved Hestia and my sisters but I still distrusted Rhea and I was unsure of my feelings towards Poseidon with an undying hatred for Zeus and not really knowing Hades.

"Then you will be joining Typhon on the battlefield?" she questioned with happiness in her voice.

"It's not that simple I lost a fight with two of them and now I have to stay on Olympus away from the fight" I lied, there was an awkward silence between them until Gaia broke it.

"It is a shame you cannot speed up the destruction of the Gods but nonetheless my child will destroy them and then come to set you free to be with your father again who will be resurrected from Tartarus along with your family" she put emphasis on the your increasing my guilt but as soon as father could rise again I would side with him no matter what the circumstances.

"I wish I could have both sides of the family at peace with each other" I said faintly and Gaia started laughing.

"There can never be a lasting peace as long as one of the sides is still alive even if they are in tartarus my children will want revenge for being caste down there..." she said whilst giving off a positive vibe and I tried to play along by looking hopeful for the return of my father, she bought it luckily.

"I must leave you now sweet granddaughter, Typhon will finish those blasted Olympians quicker than you can count to three" I felt her presence leave my mind and then another voice entered it although it was Hestia behind me. I turned to look at her and she admittedly saw I had been crying, she quickly rushed over to me trying to comfort me. It was no use I was going to be seen as a traitor to father and that is what hurt me most.

"I know what you are feeling little sis it's how I felt during the war, I didn't fight for the majority but I joined to help my brothers and sisters fight against what we knew as evil. It's harder for you to choose a side but you have to decide which side is better for you and for the world" she said wrapping her arms around me, I instantly felt warm and gave into her and returned the hug tightening the embrace knowing that when I lived with father I only saw war and not how they ruled peacefully which I couldn't imagine whereas on Olympus straight after the war there was an attempt to repair the damage done something I couldn't see father doing deep down.

"I-I ca... won't fight against my father, I don't want to be a traitor and if I help you fight Typhon I will be disowned by him" I said sobbing into Hestia's shoulders, she tightened her hold on me and whispered.

"If you don't fight at all sister, then all of your siblings will be caste in to tartarus for eternity and I know you couldn't have that on your conscience because you are a good person. You must decide who is more important to you, father" she spat "or us" she returned calmly.

I couldn't choose like this, father was always kind to me but he had devoured my brothers and sisters and what was stopping him from doing the same to me I thought, I knew Hestia was right. She always was and it annoyed me that I wasn't, but that's immortal life.

"I will help against Typhon but this is the only time I get involved in your wars" I said and Hestia's face lit up into a huge smile and she squeezed me so tight I thought I might fade before she let go.

"S-Sis breathe needed" I squeezed out and she let go luckily for my rib cage.

"Sorry little sister I don't know my own strength, I'm glad you sided with us you won't regret it. I'll go tell the others you are on our side so you can stay here and enjoy yourself before we go to fight Typhon" she flashed me another smile before fading out of the room. I put my head on my bed and quickly fell asleep into a dream.

Dream

Typhon was standing in the middle of the fields looking confident of a victory

I was looking down from a hillside over the valley

I saw the Olympians running away due to the mere sight of Typhon

He looked across to where I was sitting and smiled

He searched for them across Greece as I had assured him they weren't on Olympus

Finally, Athena came out hiding calling Zeus a coward to which he and the rest came out

I saw a big flash of light and then Darkness.

I woke up in a cold sweat I'd never had nightmares before it was terrifying the detail of it all, it seemed like a vision of a possible future event. I wasn't sure if it was the battle of I didn't help but I made a promise and I won't break my word.

Two weeks later

The Olympians took to the fields of Thessaly as that was where they had beaten the mighty titans and so they thought it would win them their second victory, with Zeus in a battle toga with his bolt in one hand and a shield in the other he had a smug look plastered on his face which was soon to be wiped off.

The other Olympians were spread closely behind him in full battle regalia with their symbols of power prepared. Poseidon with his trident and Hades with his helm of Darkness on his head with a stygian iron sword drawn at the side of him lazily as if he had no care in the world.

A mighty roar bellowed over the fields and it seemed to terrify some of the Olympians mostly notably Zeus, who was contemplating running for his life and that's exactly what he did when he made eye contact with Typhon the very sight terrified the thunder god.

As soon as Zeus took flight so did the sisters of the Poseidon and Hades leaving Athena, Hades and the sea god himself they merely sighed knowing that three of them wasn't enough to defeat the mighty beast.

"We need to look for weak spots before we pull back otherwise coming to the fields would be pointless" Athena said tactically towards her two uncles who agreed by nodding climbing into their chariots beginning to circle their opponent like vultures analysing the storm giant for defects and advantages.

"You two found anything?" Athena shouted across from her chariot hoping they had found something that they could use against him.

"No but I have an idea" Poseidon replied whilst dodging a hand from the storm giant.

"Ok meet up on the outskirts of Othrys" Hades said in their heads all departing for the fallen Titan stronghold.

They landed far away from the battlefield with Typhon beginning to search for the other Olympians who ran away led by Zeus who took flight literally the second he saw the monster of Gaia.

"So Barnacle Beard what's your plan?" Athena said jokingly receiving a glare from Poseidon and stifled laugh from Hades.

"Well Bird breath it requires two people's help and I'm not sure if it will work" he said pausing as if to add dramatic effect much to the annoyance of the other two deities.

"If we could convince Zeus to somehow come back and blast Typhon in the head or chest at point blank range it might just weaken him enough for the rest of our weapons to do sufficient damage..."

"That is a good plan but we are still faced with the problem of getting Zeus that close without getting hit by Typhon" Athena chirped in fully engrossed in the conversation involving strategy to take down their mighty enemy.

"What if we could slow him down significantly and not have to move a finger" Poseidon was hoping that Antheia would help still be willing to help their almost lost cause, she made an agreement he was certain she would help them.

"Have you gone delirious Seaweed brain? The only person who could do such a thing is someone with control over time and Kronos is in Tartarus... oh" she had realised what he was hinting at much to her embarrassment

"And you say me brain is full of seaweed..." he teased whilst smiling

"May I remind you two lovers that we still have to convince drama queen to come back to fight as well as finding the others" Hades said barely containing his laughter when the two looked towards him with anger their eyes and spread across their faces.

"Athena since Zeus loves you more than me and my brother your job is to convince Zeus to come back and fight and we will try and find Antheia" Poseidon finished looking at Athena for her response, she nodded and flashed away leaving the two brothers alone outside Othrys.

"I think you can handle Antheia brother, I need to check on the underworld and see if I can get anything else to help our cause" Hades turned hiding his face from the Sea God who was blushing a crimson red, had he not turned he would have burst out laughing in front of him. He finally flashed back to his Palace and burst into laughter.

Meanwhile Antheia was still seated on the hillside where the original battle was supposed to take place before the 'mighty' Olympians led by drama queen ran away from Typhon, she had been pondering a thought of whether to help her siblings or take her grandmothers side and destroy the Olympians, although her loss against Poseidon and her oath made her choice so much harder. Poseidon.

The most intriguing male she had seen in her short immortal life, she was not unaccustomed to male attention and it annoyed her greatly when in her father's stronghold the lustful looks she would get from other titans especially when she was training. Poseidon seemed to be the exact opposite of most males. Kind, gentle, caring and honourable he also had a powerful aura about himself but was not arrogant unlike Zeus her supposed brother. The mere thought of being related by blood to that vain boy was enough to frustrate her to point of a fuming fury.

She was brought out of her thoughts by a sudden flash and the smell of a sea breeze she turned to identify this new and familiar presence. She saw the man who was on her mind and he looked apprehensive shifting his weight onto either side of his body and his face looked flustered and he seemed openly nervous.

"Hello Antheia" Poseidon said awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck looking anywhere but at her face.

"Hello Poseidon, why have you come here?" She asked curiously although she had her suspicions as to his motives towards his appearance.

"I have come to ask what my foolish brother wouldn't, I ask... no beg that when the Olympians return here that you aid us in the fight against Typhon" he said raising his head with more confidence towards the end of his plea.

Antheia looked torn between the answer, she wanted to help him so desperately but her loyalty to her father was still strongly imbedded in her mind. What to do? Who to side with? Why does it have to be me? To say she was conflicted was an understatement. Looking down towards the fields of Thessaly over Poseidon's shoulders she knew that the battle would destroy much of what was around this area and the prospect of destruction of the mortal lives around here would be huge if she didn't pick a side.

"Why should I join you? Give me one reason why I shouldn't help Typhon it would be easier and the just decision to spare as much destruction of this world explain to m..." she was cut off by Poseidon's lips against hers, she was in shock she opened her eyes to see him looking directly into her golden orbs with undying love and she felt her heart melt in her chest.

After what seemed like a millennia of kissing they both broke apart for much needed breath both never taking their eyes off each other, until Poseidon started speaking again.

"Antheia I love you with all of my heart and I want you to know that I would do anything to be with you including charging straight at Typhon with nothing but my trident and the memory of your astounding beauty and aura that have driven me into this state of longing for your presence beside me" Poseidon finished by giving a soft smile and the mirth in his eyes brought across the sincerity of his words that made Antheia feel fuzzy and heat flush to her cheeks as well as a feeling of belonging a sense of comfort that she had someone she could confide with. She simply pulled him back to her lips and drove her feelings passionately back at the beleaguered Sea God but he nonetheless reinforced his words with action and deepened the kiss but after another length of time they broke apart with next to no air in their lungs.

"What is your plan on fighting him?" She asked hoping that they already had an idea thank the fates that they did.

"Well this is our plan..." he continued telling her about the role she was to play and the roles of the other Olympians and by the end of the briefing she was feeling less apprehensive about facing Typhon and more confident for an Olympic victory.

Somewhere Near Olympus

Athena had been searching for her father Zeus with relentless vigour ever since the mini meeting between her two uncles and herself, she was amazed of the power that rolled of the two each having a stronger aura than her own father.

Speaking of her father's aura she could feel what felt like his aura deep within a cave along with a few other powerful auras, she dismounted off her chariot and entered the cave and found all of the missing Olympians hiding in the cave all except Hestia who was missing.

"Father" she called. As soon as she spoke he turned around and embraced his daughter tightly thinking he had lost his only daughter but she shrugged him off, she had planned on her search how she was going to trick him into action and it was quite a clever play on her part.

"Look at yourself father, King of Olympus and the Gods and destroyer of Kronos hiding in a cave like a little girl. I am ashamed to call you my father as you are cowering away from the greatest moment in history. The ascension of Olympus above all other deities" she spoke poetically and the reaction of Zeus was close to picture perfect as she had planned.

"You are calling me a Coward! And comparing me the King of the Gods to a little girl, I am none of those things and I will prove it! Sisters we are going back out to fight and defeat the spawn of Gaia and show that we are the masters of the world!" Zeus yelled and everyone was on their feet and exiting the cave with heightened spirits heading back towards the fields of Thessaly, whilst a certain Wisdom Goddess lingered at the back of the group smirking triumphantly at her performance.

Some time earlier

Hestia watched Antheia and Poseidon with nervousness surrounding their very beings with the outcome of this conversation deciding the very fate of the world and also her family's wellbeing, in other words whether they rule the world or descend into Tartarus.

However, what she saw was something she hadn't expected at all. Her brother Poseidon actually displayed his true feelings towards Antheia and kissed her and gave one of the most heart breaking speeches she had ever heard. Which lead to her current situation of whether or not to reveal herself? Their reactions would be the best and most embarrassing part and she decided it was worth the risk of being blasted.

"Hey you two" she said almost teasingly and what she was met with was two very bright golden cheeked immortals.

"T-This isn't Wh-what it looks like sister" Poseidon stammered out making his position extremely obvious. Hestia then smiled glancing between her two favourite siblings.

"Relax, I was here the entire time and I saw the kisses Poseidon and Antheia" she smirked when she both of them blushed furiously she decided to try and take it further being the good sister to both her younger siblings.

"So Poseidon have you proposed?" Poseidon turned a new shade of gold and now found his feet and the floor extremely interesting whilst Antheia would glance from both us with uncertain expressions, there was an awkward silence that was broken by Poseidon.

"As much as I love and respect Antheia I was agreed to marry Oceanus' daughter Amphitrite before the previous war escalated and dishonouring that agreement will result in a breakout of war one I wouldn't be able to win" he finished looking glum and upset which was unlike him.

"What about if Antheia helped you fight him? She's technically a Titaness and has powers over the elements including yours as well as time" Hestia enquired, Antheia and Poseidon's heads shot up towards Hestia looking full of new hope.

"I know Oceanus he taught me control over the seas whilst I was at Othrys with my father taught me my time control. The domain can be controlled under the seas as well so I could in fact help you fully, I would only need one thing from you though Poseidon" Antheia finished glancing towards Poseidon nervously towards the end.

"What is that?" He replied

"That you will stay faithful to me as I would do for you" she replied her self confidence increasing.

"I swear on the Styx that I Poseidon will stay faithful to Antheia" he replied with a devilish grin that made Antheia want to follow suit and burst into hysterics, luckily her emotions were battling each other with happiness and relief mixed with nervousness and uncertainty for the future.

They saw several flashes appear were they had originally came together to begin their battle with Typhon and the storm giant eventually re appeared but the Olympians stood their ground preparing for a fight.

Hestia gave a curt nod towards Antheia and quickly joined her siblings before Poseidon rushed forward and gave Antheia one of the tightest hugs she had experienced in her life before releasing his death hold on her sides and kissed her fervently a kiss she returned with as much force and emotion before he promptly returned back to the Olympians headed by Zeus again.

Three hours into the battle

Antheia remained on the hill watch for the part of the plan she would enter the battle and slow the storm giant down she began to wonder if Drama Queen would perform his one and only role, he advanced towards Typhon who luckily missed the thunder god with several swipes of his arms. Zeus advanced further and Antheia then joined the fight, her eyes began glowing a bright and dangerous Golden and the arms and body of Typhon slowed straight down allowing Zeus time to get close enough to his chest. As soon as Zeus had closed the remaining distance he then raised his master bolt and blasted the storm giant at point blank range at his heart causing the giant to collapse to the ground where all everyone began assaulting Typhon and slowly the giant began to stop moving, the gods quickly imprisoned Typhon under Mount Etna and Gaia fell back to sleep cursing Antheia.

"Let us celebrate this victory on Olympus!" Zeus bellowed across the fields and with cheers from the other Goddesses, Antheia turned from the hill and sat down ungracefully tired from controlling the storm giant when a sudden sea breeze filled her nostrils, she smiled when she felt strong arms wrap around her.

"I am here to thank you officially for helping us defeat Typhon and to spend some time with the woman I love more than the seas" Poseidon whispered into her ear which made Antheia involuntary shiver.

"Well I'd like to say it was nothing but I can barely move my legs so you'll have to carry me to Hestia's palace" Antheia but up her arms gesturing for Poseidon to pick her up which he did and immediately she wrapped her arms around his neck for support and nuzzled her head in the crook of his shoulders, with that Poseidon teleported the both of them back to the front of Hestia's palace he looked down at the woman in his arms with love but then realised that she was asleep he knocked on the door and it opened almost instantaneously with Hestia answering grinning at the sight before her.

"Come in brother" she showed him into her palace which he had to admit was rather simplistic but also had a sense of home to it, he was still staring at Antheia and was completely oblivious to Hestia calling him.

"Brother!" Hestia shouted finally getting his attention, she smiled when he blushed furiously and even more so when Antheia started to stir and started mumbling.

"So comfy" as she started to snuggle even further into his chest and neck mumbling incoherently.

"I'm going to leave her in your care brother and no funny business in my palace or I'll take my hot poker and beat you with it" Hestia said whilst gesturing it towards Poseidon then she disappeared.

"When Oceanus finds out this is going to be a tough war" he said to himself.
