"Sasuke, I'm at point B."

"Sakura, I'm at point C."

"Naruto, I'm at point A. Believe it!"

"You're slow, Naruto. " Kakashi called out. "Okay, Squad 7..hmm? The target has moved! Follow it!"

The 3 genins chased their target to a small opening in the forest.

"Over there." Naruto pointed and they hid behind the closest trees.

"What's your distance for the target?" Kakashi questioned.

Naruto checked. "5 meters. I'm ready. Just give the signal."

"I'm ready too." Sasuke added on.

"So am I." Sakura agreed.

Kakashi waited for minute. "Okay...Now!"

The three jumped out and Naruto ended up grabbing the target, which was furious cat. It tried to get away by scratching but Naruto held on.

"Can you verify ribbon on right ear?" Kakashi asked.

"Affirmative. We have a positive ID." Sasuke answered.

Kakashi sighed. "Right. Lost pet, Tora, captured. Mission accomplish."

Kakashi nearly fell over when Naruto screamed into the mic. "Can't we get a better mission than this? I hate cats!"

"I bet Luna's having better fun than this." Naruto pouted.

Luna sighed in a boredom as she attempted to heal a dead plant. She glanced at her teacher, Satoru. He had messy brown hair and violet eyes. He was a jonin top medic-ninja. He was staring out of the window.

"Satoru-Sensei, Can't I go on a real mission with my team?"

The man didn't turn to her. "You were told by Lord Hokage already. You learning to control you healing ability is more important than missions."

"But this is lame!" She whined. "I know how to heal plants already!"

"Alright then. If you can heal all the dead plants in this room in the next 5 minutes, I'll see about you getting out you of afternoon training for today."

Luna grinned. "Alright! Here I go!" She dashed to each one and healed each on in 10 seconds with only 1 second remaining on the timer. "Done."

Satoru did a half smirk with his back still turned. "Very good but you forgot one." He pointed to the one in front of the window.

"Dammit!" Luna shouted. "This is so unfair! I can heal plants! Can't a try on a person?"

"No." Satoru's face went serious. "Plants have easier energy to heal put a people have harder. You're only a beginner so if you try you may end up bringing that person more pain."

Luna sighed sadly looking down. "Oh..."

Chapter 6: A Dangerous Mission_Journey to the Land of Waves

"Oh my baby!" Said a fat woman as she hugged the cat very roughly.

"Ha-ha! Stupid kitty deserves to get squashed." Naruto laughed.

"No wonder it ran away." Sakura said as she left.

The hokage picked up a list. "Now, for squad seven we have several available tasks. Among them babysitting the chief counselor's three-year-old, helping his wife do the shopping, taking up tomatoes-"

"No!" Naruto cut him off and made an X with his arms. "I wanna go on a real mission! One that challenging and exciting not this little kid stuff? Come on, Old Man!"

"He does have a point." Sasuke agreed in his mind.

Sakura made a face. "He's such a pain."

Kakashi sighed. "I knew this was coming."

The door slammed open and an Luna came stomping in with her face red. "Grandpa Hokage, I wanna go on a mission! This training is boring and you left me with that pervert, Satoru!"

"Luna..." He started.

"Pervert?" Naruto asked.

"Not talking about it!" Luna's cheeks went red. "I wanna do a exciting mission to test my abilities! Not sit in a room and mess with plants!"

Iruka stood up. "How dare the both of you! Your both just brand new genins with no experience! Like everyone else you start with simple missions to develop your skills and improve yourselves!"

"Are you serious!?" The twins shouted together. "Babysitting/ Healing Plants aren't missions! They are just stupid/retarded-"

Kakashi knocked them both on the head making them hit the ground. "While you two put a lid on it?"

"Luna, Naruto! Its seems you don't understand the tasks you being given." The Hokage started as they held their heads.

Naruto started talking. Luna let a bored sigh as she began paying less attention. "This is so boring! I wanna go on a mission and do something. Not play with plants."

"Silence!" The hokage said noticing they weren't paying attention.

"You always lecture us like you our grandfather or something!" Naruto looked at him. "We aren't those little brats who use to pull pranks!"

"Trust! We're ninja and we want a ninja mission." Luna declared standing up before crossing her arms and turning he back towards him while Naruto did the same only sitting down.

"I'm gonna hear about this later." Kakashi whispered to himself.

Iruka smiled while Hokage chuckled. "So, the twins wants us to know that their not brats anymore but former brats and they want a mission. So be it."

They all looked at him surprised.

"Since you are so determined, I'm going to give you a C-ranked mission. You'll be bodyguards on a journey."

"Really? Yes! Who? Who? Are we guarding a princess or a counselor?" Naruto questioned excitedly.

"Don't be so impatient. I'll bring him in now." The hokage said. "Send in our visitor!"

The door slid to the side and a man with gray hair and eyes covered with glasses walked in. "What the? A little bunch of snot nose kids?" He took a long drink from his sake bottle. "And you, the little ones with the idiotic look on their face, you really expect me to believe that your ninjas?"

Luna shot him a glare while Naruto laughed. "Ha-ha! Who's the little ones with idiotic look on his..."

Sakura and Sasuke both were taller than him so he realized who he was talking about. He tried to attack him when Kakashi grabbed the back of his shirt.

The man took another drink. "I am Tazuna, a master bridge builder and I must return to my country. I'm a building a bridge that will change our world and I expect you to get me there safely even if it means giving up your life."

"Wait, do I get to go on this one?" Luna asked. The hokage moved his hat down. Luna knew that meant no. "Grandpa Hokage, I wanna go too! Please!"

"Yeah! Alright!" Naruto cheered as they left the village.

"What are you getting so excited about, Naruto?" Sakura asked.

"This is the first time I ever left the village. I'm a traveler now! Believe it!"

Tazuna looked at Kakashi. "Hey, I'm a supposed to entrust my life to this runt? He's a joke!"

Kakashi chuckled lightly. "He's with me and I'm a jonin so you shouldn't worry."

Naruto face downed when he heard what Tazuna said. "Why did we have to get this old geezer to guard? I'm gonna set him straight right now!" Naruto turned to him. "Hey! Never insult a ninja! It's a big mistake! And I'm one of the best ninja ever! Someday I'm gonna be hokage and you'll look up to me! My name's Naruto Uzumaki! Remember it!"

Tazuna gave him a dull look drinking his sake. "Hokage are powerful and wise. You are puny and brainless. The day you become hokage, I'll sprout wings and fly."

"Shut up! I gonna to become hokage no matter what it takes!" Naruto returned. "And when I do, everyone would have to admit that I'm the top ninja including you!"

"Humph... you could become hokage 10 times over and to me you'll still be a nobody. A loser."

Naruto tried to attack him again but Kakashi held him back. "I'll make you regret saying that..."

"Naruto your suppose to protect the client not attack him." Kakashi stated as he rambled on.

A figure did a flip in front of them and landed gracefully. Naruto stopped to look. "Luna?"

"Who else would have stuck that landing?" She said with a smirk. "You didn't honestly think that I wasn't coming did you?"

"Did Lord Hokage say you could?" Kakashi asked.

Luna crossed her arms still holding a smirk. "Yes. But first I had to ask Satoru and he tried to make stay! So I used my sexy jutsu on him and it worked."

"So is this the maid or travel monkey or something?" Tazuna asked rudely.

A vein popped from her forehead and she went to punch him. "That's it!" Kakashi went and grabbed her jacket . Luna couldn't move and growled at him. "Let me go! I wanna hit him!"

"Say, Mr. Tazuna?" Sakura said as they walked.

"What is it?" He responded.

"Your country is the land of waves right?"

"Yeah what about it?"

Sakura looked at Kakashi. "Kakashi-Sensei, there is ninja in that country too isn't there?"

"No. There are no ninja in land of waves. But in other countries, there are hidden villages. Each with their own customs and cultures where ninja resign."

He started talking more but Luna's eyes caught something. A puddle in the middle of the forest. She checked up and noticed that it hadn't rained weeks. She looked around before grabbing a kunai from her pouch.

After a few minutes, she heard the sound of chains and turned to see Kakashi get ripped to pieces. Luna quickly fired a kunai which the two ninja moved out the way.

"Kakashi-Sensei!" Naruto screamed before the appeared behind him. He froze when they snickered.

"Now it's your turn."

Luna's eyes flared and went pink before she jumped and delivered a hard swift kick knocking one down. Before she could get the other Sasuke punched it.

They both got up. One went towards Naruto and other towards Sakura and Tazuna.

Naruto got cut by the ninja on his wrist but Luna quickly stepped on him only to got stabbed in the thigh and cut on her side which she ignored. Luna's weight pushed him to the ground in and she put an arm around his neck choking him. She looked over to Sasuke who was in front of Sakura, who was guarding, Tazuna. Before the ninja could reach them, Kakashi appeared using his elbow to strangle him.

"Hi." He said.

"Kakashi-Sensei! He's alive!" Sakura cheered in her mind smiling.

"Humph..Show off..." Sasuke gave him a dull look.

Naruto looked on with shock. "But he was.." He looked at wear he saw Kakashi get ripped and saw a bunch of logs. "What...Kakashi-Sensei used the replacement jutsu."

"Naruto, sorry I didn't help you right away. I didn't mean for you to get hurt. I'd just didn't think you freeze up like that." The jonin stated walking away. "Nice job, Sasuke. Very smooth. You too, Sakura. And good work, Luna."

Luna still was holding the other ninja hostage sitting on him with his arm bent his back and his face deep in the dirt. Her eyes were a fury pink. He fell unconscious but she didn't move.

Naruto got up with his eyes wide. "I was totally useless and Luna and Sasuke were so cool. Like they've done this a thousand times. Sasuke looked so cool and not a scratch on him. And I was so lame. Luna had to come and save me. Why can't I keep up with them?"

"Hey." Sasuke called to him.

"Yeah?" Naruto said.

"You're not hurt are you?" He taunted smirking. "Scarey Cat.

Naruto was about to got hit him. "Sasuke!"

"Naruto, don't move!" Kakashi warned. "You either, Luna. These ninja had poison in the claws we need to get it out of you immediately."

Luna eyes reverted back to blue as she stood up with a claw deep in her leg. "Huh..."

"You have to open the wound and remove it. It's in your blood so don't move around. That's what spreads the poison. Oh and by the way Mr. Tazuna?"

"Yeah,what?" He replied shakily.

"We need to talk."

Kakashi tied the two ninja up and they all looked at them. Luna still hadn't removed claws feeling she should hear the conversation first.

"They are chunin from the village hidden in the mist. They're specialty is is relentless attack. Fighting no matter what the sacrifice." Kakashi explained as they woke up.

"How did you know about our ambush?" One asked.

"A puddle on clear day when it hasn't rained in weeks?" Kakashi spoke up.

Luna looked at him. "So he did see it."

"If that's the case, why'd you leave up to genin to do the fighting?" Tazuna asked.

"I could have taken them out quickly but I wouldn't have learned anything." Kakashi said.

Tazuna gave a confused look. "Eh?"

"He wanted to who their target was and what they were after." Luna said aloud. "It makes sense now."

"What? What are you getting at?" Tazuna said.

"I wanted to know if they were after us. Ninja attacking ninja. Or you. A master bridge builder. When you put in your request you asked for standard protection from robbers and highwaymen. You didn't say there were ninja after you. If we knew this, it would been a B-rank or higher. Our task was simply to get you to your destination and protect you while you finished building your bridge. If we knew we be fielding attacks from enemy ninja, we would have staffed differently and charged for the cost of a B mission. Apparently, you have your reasons but lying to us is not acceptable. We are now beyond the scope of this mission."

"We're genin. This is too advanced for our level of training. We should go back." Sakura said. "And I really think we should treat Naruto and Luna's wounds and get the poison out as soon as possible. Back in our village we could take them to a doctor."

"Naruto's hand and Luna's side and leg could become a problem. I guess we should go back to the village." Kakashi said.

Naruto and Luna both growled. Naruto picked up his kunai and stabbed it deep in his wound making a lot of blood come out and Luna however look to side to avoid the sight.

"Why am I so...Ugg! I worked so hard to get here,pushing myself till it hurt. Training myself for hours. Anything to get stronger. To reach my dream." He stated. "I will never back down again and let someone else rescue me. I will never runaway and won't lose to Luna or Sasuke. Upon this wound I make this pledge. Believe it. Bridge builder, I will complete this mission and protect you with this kunai knife. Don't worry I'll be fine."

"Um...Naru?" Luna said looking the opposite way with her eyes shut to not look. "That was a nice speech and cool how you got the poison out but you may wanna stop the bleeding now. Or you'll die."

He paused. "Eh..." He started panic. "No! No! No!"

"Let me see your hand." Kakashi said before Naruto gave it too him.

Kakashi stared at his hand as it started to heal on it's own when Naruto went blue to face. "Umm...You have a very serious look on your face. Your scaring me. Am I okay?"

"Oh..yeah." Kakashi said wrapping it. "You'll be fine." He looked over to Luna who was really blue in face. "Um...Luna, you may wanna take the claw out.."

She nodded slowly. "One..two.." She didn't before she yanked them both out cringed very hard and her eyes shut to not see blood. She felt like her side shouted in pain.

"Maybe we ought to go back. That's looks serious."

"What? No! I'll be fine!" She stood up. "See! I'll live. Now let's get going."

Sasuke glanced at her for a bit.

Her thigh cringed but she put on the bravest face. She wanted to try to heal it but remember what Satoru said.
