A/N: It has been a while since I've updated and I'm sorry for that. The reviews motivated me to keep writing. I'm a bit rusty here, so this chapter is kind of a warm up (will probably correct the grammar and misspelling later on). It's very possible that I'll screw up the story but either way I'm going to finish it. Nothing is worse for a reader than unfinished story.

Chapter 9

After spending some very nice time with Clarke in the woods away from the group, Bellamy briefly considered taking back the guard duty from Lincoln. When it came to his duties, he wasn't very willing to avoid them, but eventually he chose to spend the remaining hours of the night with Clarke in her makeshift shelter. They both needed to rest before another long day of walking and having his princess wrapped tightly in his arms, snuggled into his chest, was just too good to resist. After reaching their destination they won't have many private moments so he let himself enjoy every hour he could spend alone with her, even if it was just sleeping by her side.

Unfortunately morning came too quickly and they would have to move on soon, so he had to wake the sleeping beauty up. He kissed her forhead and run his hand up and down her arm gently. "Clarke, time to wake up."

"No." Clarke protested with a drowsy voice and her eyes closed, clinging to his warm body.

"The sooner we move on, the quicker we'll get there." He noticed a slight change in her body as she was fighting to regain full consciousness, so he decided to add a bit more incentive for her. "Oh and did I forget to mention, that there is a small library with books? Some of them about medicine and healing plants..."

Clarke's eyes opened wide at that as her head rose from his chest to look at him. "You're not screwing with me, are you?"

He smirked, rolling her on her back and crawling over her body. "As much as I would love to screw with you-" he grinded against her core getting a soft moan out from her, before continuing"-I'm completely serious. The previous owner was a whacko when it came to survival skills and he had stocked up a rather impressive library. Most of the books are about zombies, but besides that there is a lot of useful knowledge hidden in there."

"I can't wait to read them. It's been so long since I actually had a chance to read a book." Clarke said with a giddy smile.

"Oh, is princess a hidden bookworm? You did look like a goody-two-shoes at first but I didn't really took you for a nerd." He teased her knowing well that his first impression of her couldn't be more wrong.

Clarke smirked at him "From what I've heard, there is a really big nerd among us and it isn't me Mister 'Augustus had a sister. Her name was Octavia.' What were you then? Five?"

"I've never denied that I have a brain, Princess."

"Well men with brains are extremely attractive." She started kissing his jaw, her hand gently scratching down his abdomen.

"Ahh, none of that." He rolled from her onto his back before standing up and smirking at her. "Since you're awake, it's time to move on."

"What?" Clarke stared at him unbelievingly. "I can't believe you're passing up some morning fun."

"Come on." He pulled on her hand helping her up. "We have a new home waiting for us."

"We can't really get used to it too much. It's only temporary. It's still too close to the Grounders and our old camp. Lincoln said that we don't have to be afraid of his people finding us there until the late spring, but that's it. We should-" Bellamy cut her off placing his hands on her shoulders squeezing them gently.

"I know." He said in a soothing manner. "We have some time to think of our next move. Now, no more stalling, it's time to go." Bellamy answered kissing her forehead quickly and dragged her out of the makeshift shelter.

"So..." Octavia walked up to Clarke with a wicked smile. "Mind telling me what was so important for Lincoln to take over the night watch from Bellamy?"

"Uhh, we had some things to take care of. Don't worry. Everything is sorted out."

And it doesn't have anything to do with Bellamy throwing enamored looks at you or the question you sprouted at me yesterday how to use your mouth to-"

"Okay, stop!" Clarke yelled whisperdly covering Octavia's mouth with her hand. "Not even one word about that. Please."

Octavia only took Clarke's hand from her mouth and shot her a smug look. "Ha, I knew it. Bell doesn't show his caring side just to anyone. I'd like to think I know you enough to assume you're not using him, but just to make it clear, if it's just sex for you, don't screw around with his head."

"It's not only sex. We didn't even get that far. He's scared that he'll hurt me with my stupid leg not fully healed." Clarke stared at Bellamy's back, pouting a little.

"Oh, that's so sweet." Octavia almost cooed but quickly got serious "I know that he looks like he's tough but he never had a real relationship with anyone and I think that part of it is because he's scared to open up to anyone. If he's willing to open up to you, you have a power to hurt him. Please don't hurt him."

"I think he has as much power, if not more, to hurt me." Clarke whispered almost to herself. She was never this close to anyone on earth. Everyone trusted her to heal them and to care about them. Finn was funny and at some point she felt somewhat close to him, but never like this. Looking back, it was hard to even comprehend how the man that seemed so rutheless and cold became the most important person in her life. She didn't even want to think about what would happen if they didn't work out.

"Well then, maybe there is some hope that I will get a sister-in-law one day." Octavia disturbed her train of thoughts.

Clarke snorted at the idea of her and Bellamy being married in some wired custom. "I wouldn't go that far, Octavia."

"Just don't come to me for any more advices on how to pleasure a man, because now that I know it's my brother you're going to try it on, I'll be too grossed out to give any tips." Octavia shuddered with disgust.

"Don't worry. I don't think I'll need any more of them. And please, keep quiet about that particular conversation. You wouldn't want your brother to find out about whom I got these tips from." Clarke smirked, knowing fully well Bellamy would turn into a growling beast if he'd ever found out that Octavia gave her some pointers on how to pleasure a man with her mouth.

"Good point." Octavia nodded.

They saw Bellamy slowing down, looking at them over his shoulder and apparently waiting for them to catch up. When they were next to him, he continued his walk at their pace and warned them "I hope you're not conspiring against me again, like you did before so Lincoln could stay with us."

"Nope. I was just asking Clarke what was so important for you to take care of last night. She had Lincoln to take over your night guard duty. So, care to share brother?" She asked him raising her eyebrow daringly, trying very hard to keep a stright face.

"Uhh. Planning. We had to make some plans regarding weaponry, supplies, protection-" Bellamy was sprouting out everything that came to his mind.

"Yeah, don't forget that protection here is a luxury we don't have, so you better be careful bro..." With that Octavia patted him on the shoulder and strutted away to find Lincoln.

"What was she talking about? We're able to protect ourselves just fine." Bellamy asked confused.

Clarke couldn't keep herself from bursting out with laughter "She was talking about the protection from accidentaly conceiving any little Blakes. She knows." Clarke informed him, still laughing.

"I'll have you know, that if I'll ever have a kid, it's going to charm everyone and stun them by its beauty. I think it's genetic. Look how well Octavia and I have turned out." He stated in a joking manner.

"I don't think earth will ever be ready for another Blake. You are an awfully aggravating kind." She teased him.

"Why, Princess. You wouldn't want a mini me?" Bellamy asked teasing back.

At that she turned more serious "Jokes aside. I know you had more than a few sex partners and so far there are no consequences that we know of, but when we'll be together, we have to be careful. We don't need any more problems."

That set Bellamy off. Through gritted teeth he said forcefully "Okay. First of all, I was being careful and that's not going to change. Second - never call any baby a problem." Then he calmed down a little and continued, trying to make Clarke understand "On the Ark everyone would see Octavia as a problem, someone that shouldn't exist, a waste of oxygen. To me she was and still is the most amazing gift in the world. No child in this group is ever going to be an obstacle as long as I have something to say about it."

"Calm down. I'm just saying that pregnancy, while we're fighting for our survival, would be a complication and I honestly don't know how radiation would affect the babies. Maybe Monty could help us find some plants that have a contraceptive purposes, so we can prevent it. No one here is ready for that kind of responsibility."

"I do understand what you're talking about. It's just that the thought of someone seeing a baby as a burden is setting me off."

Seeing her co-leader so wound up with such matter made her look at him with traces of awe "Bellamy Blake, you may be an incredible ass sometimes, but there are times when you are simply incredible." Then more quietly she continued "I would kiss you right now, if there weren't almost 100 people around us."

"If you have an urge to kiss me, feel free. They can gawk at us for all I care." Bellamy shrugged his shoulders looking straight at her.

"I thought we were trying to keep what's between us to ourselves." Clarke answered quietly, unsure. They haven't really talked about it. She just assumed that they weren't going public with their relationship.

"When it comes to kissing me, I'd say do whatever the hell you want, Princess." He smirked at her, as if daring her.

"Okay." She surprised him by fisting the front of his jacket dragging him closer to her and planting her lips on his. Bellamy, taken by surprise, was still for a few seconds before getting into the kiss and responding enthusiastically. It took them a wile to break apart and when they did, they saw everyone standing and staring at them. As if nothing happened Bellamy shouted at them "Did I say we were taking a break?! Keep walking!"
