Hey everyone, hope you're all doing okay :) Bogged down with course work and revision at the moment (nothing new there :P) my creative writing coursework's taken up almost all my free writing time which is rubbish :( but I'm here now!

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and to all of you who have read so far, it really means a lot and you're all amazing people.

A special shout-out to WhiteLunaNight !

There's only about 3 chapters left planned for this story, though I may write a spin-off/continuation depending on you wonderful people.

Another little chapter for you, I can tell you that there is only 1 'flashback' chapter left, which I promise will be a great deal longer and have a lot more going on :)

Anyways as always happy reading and let me know how you like it and if you want to read more :D

Chapter 7

Present

"How much further is it?" Tooth asked as they flew across the mountain peaks. The wind was bitter and had they not been moving, she was sure she'd have frozen solid by now.

"Not much, it's just over..." Jack broke off as the his destination drifted into view.

It was so long since he'd visited Arendelle. Over a century. He wasn't even sure he'd be able to find it, but there it was glistening on top of the North Mountain.

"Wow" Tooth breathed when she saw the ice palace. Jack barely noticed her reaction.

His gaze was locked on towers rising out of the mountain. His heart faltered a beat as he touched down in the snow beside it and for a few moments Jack simply stood there transfixed. Over a century and though some parts had worn down from exposure to the elements, it was still standing. It wasn't until now that he realised he hadn't expected it to still be here, being unable to imagine it without Elsa. But here it was.

"Jack?' he felt a hand on his arm and he looked round at Tooth.

"Sorry" he said 'It's just, its been a long time since I've been here and I don't know, I just thought maybe it would be different..."

"You don't have to apologise Jack. It's alright."

Slowly Jack walked towards the place his hear racing. He paused before placing a foot on the first step, his fingers clutching the rail for support.
Tooth followed closely, she was worried. She had never seen Jack like this so...distant.

Jacks gait grew more confident with each step and once they'd reached the top he didn't pause for deliberation before knocking against the door.

And nothing happened. Not that he'd expected it to but he'd hoped, he pulled it open and walked inside. Empty.

The vacant interior was like the outside, almost exactly the same as it had been all those years ago.

Slowly he headed to the staircase. He could have flown up like Tooth did, but Jack wanted to retrace his memories. Elsa gliding down the stairs to greet him...
He reached the top and he could see the balcony.

"This is the last place I ever saw her." Jack told Tooth.

"She built this place for herself."

"Alone?" Tooth asked amazed.

Jack smiled "Yes, but not how you're thinking. She was like me."

Tooth looked at him for a moment in confusion then realisation hit. "She had powers." She said in amazement and Jack nodded.

"I told you she was special."

"I never thought...that's incredible." Tooth "tell me about her" she said.

And so he did, Jack told her everything; how he'd met Elsa and about his visits.

"Every year?" Tooth asked.

Jack nodded, "from the first snow to the last" he smiled.

"What happened?" She asked.

Jack explained how Elsa had forced him away. And a Tooth looked heartbroken. "So you left?" She asked.

"I did."Jack told her. "But I didn't stay away...I kept my promise." He paused.

"Well...that time at least."

Thanks for reading everyone! I'll have the next chapter up as soon as I can :) xx
