Robin watched as Regina licked her dry lips and before he knew what he was doing, the words left his mouth, changing both his and Regina's lives forever.

"Marry me, Regina"

Robin's whole body froze the instant he realised the words had left his lips. Sure, he had wanted to propose, but he hadn't imagined to just blurt it out like he had done at 4 in the morning right after Regina had just peed. Over a romantic dinner or whilst they were out for a walk, maybe.

Oh God, this wasn't romantic, or even worthy of Regina Mills at all!

That woman deserved the whole world and all the stars and planets combined!

He was almost too afraid to bring his gaze back up to Regina, in fear of how she would react. He was vaguely aware she had removed her hand from his cheek and it was only when he heard a strangled sob escape her beautiful lips did he bring his eyes to once again meet hers.

But the second he did, all his fears and insecurites seemed to wash away. Regina's deep, drown eyes were swimming in a pool of tears, and, behind her hand, her lips were twisted in what Robin knew was a smile.

"Well then?" Robin cleared his throat nervously, realising Regina hadn't yet said anything.

"Yes!" Regina laughed, tears springing from her eyes and racing down her cheeks as her smile grew. "Of course I'll marry you, Robin!"

With a smile that streched from ear to ear, Robin reached out and cupped Regina's face, capturing her lips with his own. He felt her smile even deeper into the kiss, their lips brushing against one anothers in such a passionate, loving manner. Regina's tears slid down her cheeks and melted on her lips, getting lost in the heat of the kiss. Robin felt Regina snake her arms around his neck, pulling his head closer as she deepened the kiss; her tongue glazing over his bottom lip gingerly.

It felt like an eternity before they needed air, and as they parted lips, Regina rested her forehead against Robin's, giggling slightly as he planted a soft kiss on the tip of her nose.

Feeling a wave of happiness he had never felt before, Robin settled back against the bed, holding out his arm for Regina to cuddle against him. Regina gladly leant against him, throwing one of her legs between his as he wrapped one arm around her shoulders, holding her as close to him as possible whilst the other rested against her bump, their pinky fingers lightly stroking one anothers.

Regina could't help but sigh happily as she relaxed into Robin's embrace, feeling the arm that was wrapped around her shoulders start to play with her hair in the relaxing way only Robin knew how.

They sat in a blissful, comfortable silence for a few moments, just enjojoying one anouther and soaking the other in before Regina spoke.

"Is that why you've been acting weird the past week?"

"Partly" Robin shrugged, kissing the top of his new fiancé's head. "I had actually been thinking about it for a while but I never really knew how you felt about the idea of marriage. And then I guess life got in the way and I sort of forgot about the idea for a while, until everything with baby Hope, I suppose"

"You never really knew how I felt about marriage?" Regina asked, curiosity suddenly getting the better of her.

"Yeah, I know how trapped you felt when you were married to Leopold and you never brought it up when we would talk about our future" Robin said quietly, kissing Regina's bare shoulder. "So when I was first thinking about asking you, I got Tink to try and find out"

"You did what?! When?"

"Around the time you had that girls night"

"So thats what that dumb, juvenile night was for!" Regina chuckled before turning serious. "You could have just asked me, you know"

"I just did didn't I?" Robin grinned as Regina tilted her head and caputred his lips once again.

"I love you, Robin" Regina smiled against his lips, bringing his hand to rest upon her stomach as she felt their daughter kick in response.

"I guess our little princess approves" Robin chuckled as his daughter continued to kick against their hands.

"She's already a Daddy's girl and she's not even born yet!"

Okay, I know this is super short and that I haven't updated in months but if you read the authors note in the last chapter I explained that my Gran was ill and uploads were going to become more and more sporadic. Long story short I lost my gran and not long after that got in a car accident (I am totally fine) so I have been dealing with all of that. Thank you for everybodies continued support and for giving me the time and space to grieve. Hopefully I should be posting updates a little more reguarly now! Please let me know what you think!
