Hi guys, it's been a while hasn't it?

A lot of stuff has happened over the years and I'd like to just say sorry for the long wait. The story has been on hiatus for about 3 years now and I'd like to explain why as well as update you all for the future of the story and as me as a writer.

First off, what has happened?

Well, for the past 3 years, I'd been focusing hard of my studies in college. My co-author (Grape from the story), had been also busy with his own studies. It became harder and harder to write since I'm in an arts course and Grape's in Medschool. At some point both of us just stopped working on the story entirely because we had something else that we were doing together. But now I'm a little bit more free (albeit, I'm taking my thesis) and Grape's willing to help out again when he can.

And now for the bigger news, "So what now?" Well Good News and Bad News.

Bad News is, I'm going to discontinue this story. It's been fun writing it but at some point it went away from how we'd initially intended it to be. And with how far it's gone I doubt I can continue writing for it anymore.

But…!

The Good News is that I won't stop writing.

Instead of continuing the story, we've decided to "reboot" the whole series. Yes, series.

You see, Fate of The Worlds was actually not just a story we wrote for Fanfiction. The story was actually a spin-off of our Neptunia D&D Game that we were playing. I was GM'ing the game while the others played as their characters. We initially thought of adapting it into a story here to just share our stupid little adventure. But then instead we wanted the Fanfiction story to be different from the D&D story. But as we played on, it got harder to write and play at the same time.

It got so difficult because we'd have so much things happen and the Fanfiction story would be behind by so much. Not to mention, this story wasn't even a proper adaptation of what we were doing, but instead a spin-off. A, "What if this happened instead?" story. One of the biggest differences was which CPU each of us ended up going after.

Because of that, plus the little time we had to write something that was not even the same story as the game we were playing, we ended up shelving the story to the side and instead just played the D&D game instead.

It got so far that we've basically gone through 4 Major Campaigns, 1 Mini-Campaign, and are halfway to finishing the current major campaign that acts as our 5th and series finale. Just a little while ago we celebrated our D&D Game's 5th Year Anniversary, and it was then that we remembered this story we made here in Fanfiction. We then thought of sort of "archiving" the story of our D&D game now that we're nearing the end.

One thing led to another and then I had decided that I wanted to reboot this story. Grape was willing to help so now where here. And so now I'll let you guys know how we're going to be doing so from now on.

So first, we're not continuing this story, we're making a new one.

Second, the new story is going to be an actual written adaptation of the D&D game (The original reference of this story).

Third, we won't have a regular update schedule. We're in college, so we'll try to upload when we can.

Fourth, expect a lot of differences between the two stories (but not too much). I mean it goes without saying since it is a reboot. But some stuff like the characters and some bits of the plot will stay the same with just a different outcome or so.

And lastly,

Thank you guys so much. I know you guys have been waiting for so long and it makes us so happy to see that you guys still love the story and still wanted more after all these years. I honestly can't express how much seeing those favorites and following in my feed even after the hiatus made me so happy. Heck, even the fact that you guys took the time of day to just read this dumb story is just so amazing.

I know this isn't exactly "continuing" the story that you guys initially came in for, but I hope you'll stay and enjoy the new one we're making.
