Reviewer Responses:

Lostinthedarkclouds: Lemons? They're probably not going to happen in this story. I've never written one and I don't think I know how to either. By showing interest I didn't mean multiple women would be chasing Gohan, I meant they might find him attractive. I'm not going to spoil what level of SSJ Gohan can reach but SJJ4 and SSG are definitely not going to happen. That power would be beyond overkill.

Timijaf: Gohan is a Saiytonian because his mother is Kryptonian.

King of nightmares and dragons: Thanks! Ravager is a possibility as far as a pairing goes but I haven't really considered Zatanna.

Silent88: Gohan could have ended it earlier but where's the fun in that? As far as a Supergirl pairing that's probably not going to happen seeing as it's been overdone.

SpiderLedgic: Captain Marvel and Superman have fought on a few occasions. Sometimes Superman has won and sometimes Captain Marvel has won. Captain Marvel (Pre-52) also has one significant advantage; magic. Without magic Superman and Captain Marvel have similar skill sets but magic, which Black Adam also wields, gives Captain Marvel a slight advantage. I can't remember the specific issue number but Black Adam took blows from an angry Superman in Actions Comics and didn't flinch in the slightest. Black Adam also doesn't hold back and won't hesitate to kill, giving him another slight advantage over Superman. All three are on par with one another.

Ethan Writer: The Kamehameha was in fact crimson. No, it was not Kamehameha 10x from DBGT, none of GT is canon in this story. It was red due to the combination of Heat Vision resulting in something I've coined as; Inferno Kamehameha. You see who's from an alternate Earth?

Cloud Ex-SOLDIER: The fight between Black Adam and Gohan is going to seem even more one sided after you read this chapter. I didn't have Gohan kill Black Adam because he will be playing a role in a future story arc.

.1656: Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the fight. Like other Kryptonians Gohan does in fact regain his energy by absorbing sun rays. Significant Zenkai's pretty much ended once someone reached Super Saiyan, which Gohan has. Gohan does get stronger after a fight but it's not a huge boost or anything. As far as his back story you'll just have to read and see.

Dctitan90: You pretty much guessed right on Gohan's abilities, but this Gohan isn't "mystic". A Supergirl pairing? Probably not going to happen, seeing as it's been over done IMO.

SaiyaStyles: That's not very Gohan-esque though. However, I can see Vegeta doing something like that.

DarkKnightShiva: My update schedule is on my profile

ClarkVal99: The pairing is undecided

Disclaimer: I don't own anything having to do with the Dragon Ball franchise. I also do not own anything related to DC comics. This is just a fan fiction made for personal pleasure and writing experience.

Chapter 3: Introductions

The world was still reeling from the destructive battle with Black Adam. It had been a month since Gohan had shown up out of seemingly nowhere to defeat the former ruler of Kahndaq. The former champion of Shazam had suffered critical injuries. He would live, largely due in part to his magical nature, but he would be out of commission for a very long time. Following his defeat Black Adam had been imprisoned in the Rock of Eternity. No mortal jail would've been able to contain him especially after the dictator had absorbed even more magical energy. Locked away in another dimension there was little, if any chance, Black Adam would see the light of day again.

Once word of his defeat had spread Gohan became an instant Universal hero. The Saiytonian had been bombarded with thousands of interview requests. Mysterious as ever Gohan denied every single last one of them, and had yet to share any details of his origin. Even Supergirl who had gotten to somewhat know him over the course of a month was still baffled by him. The only thing the raven haired teen had revealed was that he was in fact Kryptonian. Kara's suspicions had finally been confirmed. She still had a multitude of questions to ask him but the Saiytonian refused to answer any of them until he had an official meeting with the Justice League.

As excited and grateful as they were for Black Adam's defeat, not every Superhero was trusting of Gohan. The Bat family in particular were suspicious of his motives and rightfully so. The Saiytonian had shown up out of literally no where and showcased power that exceeded even Superman's own. He refused to reveal any information about himself as well. With this in mind Nightwing coerced Supergirl into being Gohan's chaperone during the duration of the Trinity's extended stay off world. Gohan and Supergirl had both agreed to the terms, Kara was after all the only person Gohan knew.

The days had gone by quickly with the duo enjoying one anothers company. Supergirl was amazed at how quickly the two had hit it off. Since her arrival on Earth the Kryptonian had felt alone. Sure, she had her cousin Kal, but he was an adult and had a secret life as an Earthling. Kara had none of of those things; she was Supergirl all the time. It was nice to finally have someone her own age, with her powers, that she could relate and talk to about practically anything. The heavy hitters of the Justice League had returned from their long mission on New Genesis earlier this week, and today was the day for Gohan's official meeting with them.

-Justice League Watchtower-

"A Super-Horse? Really? Seriously?" Gohan's laughter could not be contained as he strolled down the corridor. He had spent the last hour receiving a personal tour of the Watchtower, as it had been dubbed, by Supergirl who now silently fuming at him.

"It's not funny." Kara Zor-El pouted as she glared at the tall raven haired teen beside her. Comet had been one of her dearest pets.

"C'mon you have to admit it's at least a bit funny." Gohan contested, a grin wiggling onto his face. "Just the thought of you galloping on it is hilarious." Clutching his sides the Saiytonian broke into a fit of laughter. With all her powers what did she need one for?

"Shut up." Rolling her eyes in absolute annoyance Supergirl lightly punched the Saiytonian on the arm. It was light by her standards but still packed the force to flatten a car, but she knew he could take it. Seeing Gohan shrug it off as if was nothing only served to verify her belief. "You don't have any room to talk anyways...you had a pet Dragon."

"Hey! But that was different!" Gohan objected, his arms folding together across his chest. "Icarus was the best pet anyone could ever ask for."

"You owning a purple Dragon is perfectly normal but me having a horse is ridiculous?" Halting her stride with a brow raised Supergirl turned as she asked the question.

Rubbing the back of his head as he answered in normal Son mannerism Gohan chuckled. "Um...well...yeah"

Cocking her mouth Kara fixed her lips to reply snarkily but halted as she saw the goofy smile on his face. That smile could melt the icecaps in even the coldest hearts. Replying with a huff Supergirl continued onward with her march leading Gohan down the hallway. They had visited nearly every room in Watchtower thus far. Usually a tour could take anywhere to an upward of four hours, but with super speed they had managed to cut that time in half. All that was left to see was the mess hall.

"Arroz con pollo, with rosemary chicken, a bit too much sea salt if you ask me but it should be delicious all the same."

"Huh?" Supergirl blinked in confusion before realizing what Gohan was talking about. The main dish being served in the cafeteria today. It was refreshing to have someone around who shared her keen sense of smell.

"I'm guessing you want some?"

Gohan's response was quick, replying with a smile. "Do you even have to ask?"

-Watchtower Conference Hall-

"These are all of the files Bruce?" Wonder Woman asked as she studied the thick notebook in front of her. From a rough estimate it contained at least one hundred documents.

"I know you like to be detailed Bats but isn't this a little overboard here?" Speed reading through the documents he had just been handed, Wally West sighed as he placed it back down on the table. He had never read anything so detailed with such unnecessary information. Seriously who needed to know what Gohan's favorite food was?

"Isn't this against the law Bruce? Just how exactly was all this information obtained?" Superman's voice shined through with steely concern. Bruce was known to go the extra mile for certain situations..but this...this was something he'd never seen before.

"I too would like to know how this information was obtained Batman. Gohan has yet to reveal anything to anyone but you already have this knowledge?" J'onn knew of Bruce's intense paranoia, it was one of the things that made him such a great detective, but it was also things like this which often alienated him from the rest of the league.

"Certain precautions had to be taken." Batman curtly replied, skirting around the questions that had been posed to him. He could tell from their reactions that they were disapproving of his actions now, but in time this information would come in handy.

"Seriously this thing is thicker than some of the info we get for our missions in space. Have you ever thought about becoming a secretary for the Oans?" Hal Jordan joked as he lightly flipped through the pages. However Batman did not appear to be amused at all. The seemingly ever present scowl on his face remained present as he glared at this sector's Green Lantern. "I guess not."

"As I was saying." Batman continued, picking up from where he had left off. "We know next to nothing about Gohan. Even the files I've presented you with have next to nothing on him. The only thing we know for certain is that he is Kryptonian." His voice wavered in concern at the word Kryptonian which is something Clark quickly picked up on.

"Which isn't a good thing?" Kal-El had yet to formally meet Gohan, but thus far he had heard nothing but positive remarks about him from Kara.

"The jury is still out on that Clark. The majority of Kryptonians that have visited the Earth have not been like you or Supergirl...that is a fact you cannot deny."

Kal's hands unclasped, his hands rising in protest but halting as he truly deliberated Bruce's words. Zod, Faora, Ursa, Non, Doomsday if you counted him. It was a sad, harsh, truth but the fact was most of the Kryptonians that had visited Earth were anything but benevolent. However, that did not mean Gohan was a threat. All of the aforementioned names had been trapped in the phantom zone at one point in time. Heck, half of Kon-El's genetic material came from Lex Luthor and yet they had nothing in common.

"That doesn't necessarily mean he'll endanger anyone though."

"And just how do you know this Clark?" Bruce contested, his eyes narrowing as he awaited the response.

"Truthfully?" Superman began. "I don't."

"Then there's nothing to discus here then. We should..."

"I wasn't finished Bruce." Superman continued, slightly agitated by the interruption. "But we should at least get to know him before creating files like this." Clark said as he lifted his notebook.

"I have to agree with Supes here Batman." The Flash said as he joined the conversation. "This is a bit much in my opinion. The kid hasn't presented himself like a threat...we shouldn't treat him as one."

"Wally speaks for me as well Bruce. We're supposed to see the good in people. I know cynicism is how you operate, but the rest of us don't." Wonder Woman spoke, siding with Clark's hopeful optimism.

"Look, I can see where both sides are coming from but I have to agree with Batman on this. I might not agree with his means." Green Lantern said, obviously referring to the thick notebook each member at the table had. "But we should move with caution here."

The collective attention of the league switched to J'onn as he would be the pivotal decision maker in their deliberation. The Martian blinked awkwardly as he realized all eyes were now on him. Pondering his next words carefully the Manhunter finally voiced his opinion.

"I must side with Batman and Green Lantern. The precautions are a bit excessive, but we cannot afford to make the wrong decision here, especially when considering how powerful he is." Superman may not have agreed with J'onn's decision but he respected the thought behind it.

"A three way split then?" Leaning back in his chair Wally West sighed. This was going to be a long meeting.

-Watchtower Cafeteria-

Gohan was wolfing down food at an incredible pace. Initially the Saiyan had started out with one light entree, which in turn had transitioned into a full course meal. Everything on the cafeteria's menu had been up for grabs and the Saiytonian happily took one of everything. The cafeteria workers along with Supergirl were amazed at just how much Gohan's stomach could handle. As the plates started to stack up so did a crowd which was now behind the teenager egging him on to eat even more. The Saiytonian was nearing the Flash's record for items eaten in one day.

Kara didn't know whether to be disgusted or amazed as she watched the unruly haired teen viciously bite into another piece of chicken. In seconds the meat was stripped and all that remained was bone. At the pace Gohan was eating at, someone interfering might have resulted in having a nub for a finger. Kal-El's cousin was still befuddled as to why he was doing all this though. Kryptonians didn't need food for sustenance. A yellow sun's rays provided them with everything they needed. That being said she did enjoy a nice hot meal. Kal ate out of enjoyment and to maintain his human alter ego visage. He couldn't possibly enjoy stuffing his face with inhumane amounts of food...could he?

With a satisfied burp the Saiytonian finally placed down the last bowl, gleefully rubbing his stomach as he leaned back in his chair. A mixture of grumbling and cheers was heard as the small crowd behind the Saiytonian began to disperse. Those who had bet against the teenager were now feeling the substantial monetary loss in their pockets. Booster Gold in particular was especially grumpy about his decision. As the rest of the league slowly filed out of the cafeteria, the two teens were once again left alone.

"Was all that food really necessary?" Kara asked as her eyes fell upon the pile on dishes and plates that were haphazardly stacked upon one another besides Gohan. "Our Kryptonian anatomy doesn't require us to need food."

"I know." Gohan responded simply. "I do it out of remembrance for my father." Hearing the somber tone in the normally jovial teen's voice Supergirl new she had touched a sore spot.

"I'm so sorry." The Kryptonian began to say, but was waved off by Gohan.

"There's no need to apologize...you had nothing to do it with it." Flashing the blonde a warm smile Gohan attempted to change the topic of their conversation. Talking about his father wasn't something he was ready to do now, if ever.

"So what's the league like?" Gohan asked as he leaned forward in his chair, shifting from a relaxed lean to an attentive stare.

"Well you already met some of the members," Kara began, referring to her fellow superheroes he had sparsely interacted with over the course of a month.

"If you can even call it that." The Saiytonian muttered to himself. His interactions with Justice League thus far had been handshakes and notes of gratitude for handling the Black Adam situation, but not much else. Almost all of his time had been spent with Supergirl; not that he was complaining though.

"It's kind of hard to describe them honestly." Kara said with a slight frown. "Flash is a goofball, Green Lantern is...well kind of a dick." Gohan couldn't help but laugh at bluntness of her words. "Martian Manhunter is aloof. Wonder Woman is a princess. Kal, I mean Superman...well he's my cousin. And Batman he's..."

"Supergirl you may now report to the conference hall with Gohan."

"Well speak of the devil, he's over the intercom." Kara said as the Dark Knight's gravelly voice cut in between her conversation.

"I guess that means we should get going then." With a nod both Kryptonians rose up from their chairs, Gohan dropping off his dishes and eating utensils as the exited the mess hall.

-Watchtower Conference Hall-

The walk to the conference hall was brief. It had taken the pair less than a minute to arrive at the humongous steel doors. Pushing past the JLA insignia Gohan and Supergirl strolled into the room. They were met with smiles and waves, rather Supergirl was met with smiles and waves. Everyone else simply stared at him. Almost instantly Gohan was met with an intense glare from a darkly dressed man at the back of the room. That must be Batman..The Saiytonian quickly gauged from his attire. His Ki was pure, but there something else lurking behind it.

Shrugging it off Gohan followed Kara's lead as he proceeded to take a seat at the gigantic table in the center of the room. Settling into his chair Gohan looked up to see a man approaching him with arms outstretched. The S insignia on his chest told him exactly who it was. Superman. Extending his hand in common courtesy Gohan shook it. It was in that brief moment as they greeted one another that Gohan noticed something eerily similar about him. His Ki! This is impossible! It can't be!

"Mom?!" The word was blurted out without thought. Clark's hand retracted slowly, his eyes blinking numerous times to make sure he had heard correctly.

"Mom!" Once again the word was uttered, this time with complete and utter adulation as Gohan embraced Clark in a tight hug. "Mom!"

For the first time in his life the man who prided himself on his ability to construct words found himself at a complete and utter loss for them.

A/N: It's been forever since I updated this story so I finally decided to give it one. I know this chapter was short but I'm in the process of figuring out how I'm going to structure my writing in the future. Quick, short, chapters like this are easier for me to write and can be put out at a faster pace. Longer chapters are kind of a pain for me to write now for some reason. I'll figure it out though. I'm evil for that cliff hanger at the end...I know.
