A/N In which Cornwall tells England about a past crush and he persuades her to talk to the doosh again.
"So, who was this crush of yours? This bastard who turned down my dear sister?" Arthur asked as Jenna finished explaining about the whole situation of her first and last crush.
"Promise you won't beat him to a bloody pulp?" She raised an overly thick eyebrow.
"Ugh, I promise." The Englishman promised. "But only because you told me not to."
"Well... It was Barbados... I told him I liked him several decades ago... We haven't talked since." Cornwall twiddled her thumbs, as she looked down at her lap.
"Oh ...well why don't you find him?"
"He doesn't even approach me at meetings, I sometimes catch him looking, but he instantly looks away." She sighed, taking a sip of her tea.
"Well, talk to him then" England replied.
"I... I don't know how to..."
"Start with a simple hello Dear, that always helps."
"Uh... Oh okay." Cornwall stood up, a small smile on her face. "I think I'll call him and ask to meet up, huh?"
He smiled "That's a plan."
She reached out for the telephone, dialling in a number she seemed to have memorized, waiting for the boy to pick up. Cornwall was going to do this, she had to. A low buzzing noise echoed down the phone, her breathing hitched, was she ready for this? Arthur gave the auburn haired girl a thumbs up, she smiled, turning back to the phone.
"Hey, this is Emmanuel R Buerrosmuertos, personification of Barbados, I can't come to the phone right now as I'm busy being badass. Please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible." Voicemail, typical, it had to go to voicemail.
"Hey Barbados, it's me, Corny. I know I should've called sooner and all but I've been busy... We should meet up after the next meeting, I need to discuss some stuff with you."
The Caribbean boy sighed as he finished listening to his voicemail. She'd finally picked up the courage to call him, and he freaken missed it. Typical. Well, that's karma for you.
So they were going to meet up after next meeting, huh? Perfect, they could finally sort this whole mess out. Barbados hadn't properly seen the girl for at least eight decades... Wonder what Cornwall was like now.
"Well, there's only one way to find out. Good thing I'm holding the next World Meet, ey?" He smiled at a random potted plant.
"Wait... I'm holding the next World Meet... Shit!" With that, Emmanuel zoomed out if the room to start preparing for next weeks meeting. It was going to be special, after all.
