The hokage sighed, "Once again, Orochimaru found a way for an eternal life". She clenched her jaws; she was tired of this cycle.
"God, what is he thinking, it's not even—" Tsunade mumbled, frustrated.
"Anyway, he's already got a head start. He traveled back time using a forbidden jutsu. Legend says a piece of horn that belonged to a woman of power can be found in a small shrine within a forest. Based on the setting of the story, we assume it's along the borders of the Land of Fire", she walked towards the table, pointing at a map. "I know it's pretty wide but we've narrowed down the location as best as we could", Tsunade's eyes drifted to hers.
'No, no, no'
"We're sending you to spoil Orochimaru's plan… and to return with the horn, understood?"
"Yes, ma'am!"
An anbu secured the paneled windows, the other laid down a huge scroll onto the floor. Hinata was asked to stand over it and she did. She bit her thumb and signed the scroll with her blood. A bright, concentrated flash of light filled the room, the Hyuga was gone.
"Goodluck."
Obito's rinnegan was the only interest Madara has for him. He was an uncertain person, and he was just a tool. Madara abandoned edo tensei. He rushed to Hashirama and absorbed his senjustsu chakra. He felt alive, blood rushing through his veins.
Sasuke's susano'o had long disintegrated, but he ran to his opponent, only armed by his mangekyo and katana. He managed to pierce his elder's arm.
"How about an offer? Since we're the last Uchiha, why don't we cooperate instead?" the older smiled. Sasuke glanced at the Hyuga, he sneered, "Go back to your coffin". Madara's face fell sullen and pulled out the katana piercing him, "You're boring" he left and turned for the bijuus.
It was his chance; he sprinted forward to save the girl. He stood in front of the petrified Hinata Hyuga. It was as if her eyes were staring directly into his. "I've got no time for looking back" he attempted to penetrate the casted genjutsu only to be interrupted by Madara's clone, "Why, aren't you sneaky". Sasuke retorted, "Aren't you busy?"
She crashed against the earth; she felt exhausted. Hinata stood up, it was dark. She didn't know where she was and she couldn't even activate her byakugan, the jutsu was too draining. Even the moon had forsaken her. The breeze blew, leaves were rustling; it was a cold, empty night. She crawled her way to a tree and rested her head against it; Hinata slept shivering.
"Lady, are you alright?"
Hinata slowly opened her eyes, wincing at the glaring sunlight piercing through the leaves above. She managed to sit up; she was feeling better but her body still ached. She just noticed the young man kneeling beside her. "Who ar- Where… Where am I?"
"You're outside the borders of Konoha, not too far though" The man smiled.
"Ah, I see" She weakly responded.
"Where are you supposed to be heading? Maybe I could take you there? You seem to be really exhausted." He bombarded Hinata with concern but she didn't know what to say; she couldn't spill her mission…
'Mission. That's right I have a mission, I almost forgot. I can't seem to recollect much of what happened before this.'
He stood up and fixed his clothes, "Sorry, you must be taken aback. I haven't even let you know of my name." He smiled stretching out his hand "I'm Sendai, Uchiha Sendai"
"Hinata… Hyuga Hinata" She grasped his hand and pulled herself up.
"Yeah, you're eyes spoiled me that part". He raised his brows, "So, where are we going?"
"I remember I… I was... leaving my home… never going back again."
Hinata knew she had to lie, and so she made it seem that she was alone so no one can interfere with her mission; one stranger is already too much.
The man couldn't trust this common, safe excuse "You're running away...I see... How did you end up like this?", Hinata could hear his suspicion.
"The fall might've been not so gentle" She pointed at a low cliff. She told him of her pursuit toward the ripe fruits of that persimmon tree sitting atop that cliff.
"Not gentle at all from what I could see!" Sendai laughed. That cliff saved her lie.
They decided to take a walk heading for that legendary persimmon tree of that story of hers. He helped her harvest some and shared the fruits together.
"Where do you plan to go now?" Sendai asked munching on a persimmon.
"To tell you the truth, I really don't know yet. But I'd rather roam this forest aimlessly than go back home."
"I'm not bragging but I know this forest pretty well. I might interest you in something, come on!" He smiled gently as the wind blew his long black hair against his face.
Madara…
NOTES: I randomly visited ffnet because I've seen recent emails from it. I saw my fic got some reviews and they were really nice so I decided to finish this unfinished file I wrote for chapter as a thank you! I'm not sure if I'd have the time to continue writing because of college and I haven't really kept up with the manga/series since the final battle (and that was a long time already so I've forgotten a lot of details) but I would really love to continue. Have a good day hope you enjoyed this!
