Frozen Bowties
Chapter 20:
How did this happen? He couldn't remember. All he knew was that he was in a strange looking office, in a black leather couch. Sherman fully opened his eyes in alarm as he took in his surroundings. He was definitely NOT in Mr. Peabody's office. He got up off the couch and ran towards a door. It was locked.
Great.
He looked around and saw a metal door on the far wall. His aunt! He ran towards it and looked at the lock. It was electronic. No big deal. He blew warm air on the number pad and the finger prints appeared over each number. He clicked on them and the metal doors opened. He took a peek inside the freezer.
OOO
Mr. Peabody didn't know how, his memory was blurry, but he somehow escaped from his apartment and now he was walking around the frozen streets of New York, battling the winter storm ahead.
His body felt so weightless thanks to the significant amounts of wind rushing back and forward. The wind hit his left side, he walked to the right. The wind hit his right side, he walked to the left. He was so weak, even the wind told him how to walk!
His teeth chattered. It was so cold. It was colder than the ice age when he visited with Sherman last summer in the WABAC. Oh, the WABAC, he might never get another chance to ride it…if he gets frozen solid.
Everything was blurry because of the storm. All he could see was snow. So much snow…
Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart…
Sure, he threw himself between Sherman and took the ice blast for him, but what about him? What was the act of true love that could thaw his heart?
He took another step and almost fell down. All his fur was gray. He looked at his hands. Frost was starting to cover them. He stored them away in his jacket pockets.
"Sherman!"
He escaped Mr. Weselton by making sure the old man had enough alcohol. And then, he made his way out of the building and started walking on random directions. For the first time in forever, he felt helpless.
OOO
Kristoff ran on Sven through the now frozen streets of New York. Olaf stayed on the penthouse with the blonde girl and her parents. But he was pretty sure he would follow out eventually.
He was looking for Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Kristoff was knocked out by Hans and some guards made sure that the Petersons and Olaf didn't follow Hans while he knocked out cold Sherman and signaled a guard to take Mr. Peabody's limp body. When Kristoff woke up, he grabbed Sven and started to look for any sign of the pair. Or any sign of Elsa for that matter.
OOO
Elsa looked at the handcuffs in her hands. She keep freezing them. Maybe… just, maybe if she could break them…
"Get in! But careful! She's dangerous." A whisper was herd from outside her cell.
Elsa gasped. They were going to kill her. She couldn't get killed yet! She had to escape. She focused on freezing the cell door so the guards couldn't get in and she would have more time to think of a plan. She heard the guards trying to take down the door.
"It's frozen!"
Elsa focused her ice on the handcuffs. She noticed that the stone walls were freezing as well, some pointy ice was begging to form.
Suddenly, the door opened and Hans stood there with a few guards, smirk on his face. But that smirk was quickly erased from his ugly face as he noticed something.
Elsa was gone.
