AN: So, I wrote this because Alex (caffinate-me) asked for it. Well, she actually meant the show when she said this on Twitter, but I hope this can be sort of a substitute. Anyway, thank you to drdit92 for the quick read through. As always, constructive criticism is welcome.
Disclaimer: I don't own Castle.
Rick sighed as he rolled over to cuddle with Kate on the other side of the bed. However, he found the spot to be vacant, the sheets still warm. He smiled, knowing that she was probably already wide awake and making coffee in the kitchen. Getting out of bed, he put his slippers on and walked into his office and to the kitchen. Sure enough, as he got closer, the aroma of coffee surrounded him. He smiled and licked his lips at the thought of tasting the heavenly liquid.
He entered the doorway, about to greet her, but was stopped by the sight in front of him. And what an adorable image it was!
His fiancé was swaying her hips to whatever music was blaring from the ear buds in her ears. Rick couldn't help but ogle her backside as she sensuously moved her hips to the beat of the song. Not seeming to notice his presence, she spun around in an almost Michael Jackson-like style, coffee cup in hand. It was then that he realized she was humming and he almost laughed when he heard the familiar tune come from her lips. He had to cover his mouth to hide his chuckles as she started singing,
"Move that ass, get on the floor, get on the floor." She put her hands on her hips, putting more sway into them, if that was even possible. "Sexy as hell I come through the door."
Rick couldn't argue there. She was cute doing her little dance routine, and her singing voice, along with the lyrics, were doing things to his body that made him want to bend her over the counter.
"Twelve gauge shot gun, get on the floor." She threw her arms in the air as she slid from one side of the kitchen to the other. At this point, Rick could no longer hold in his laughter. Kate removed one of her ear buds and raised an eyebrow at him.
"What are you laughing at?" she asked.
"Nothing," he replied, his laughter dying down. "Just enjoying the show."
She stuck her tongue out at him. "Guess no coffee for you then."
"Wait," he said quickly, not wanting to be deprived of caffeine. "It was really cute."
"Sure," she said, drawing out the 'u'. "You're going to have to be a little more convincing."
He walked to up to her, gripping her hips. "It was really adorable and sexy, I swear," he murmured, his lips hovering over hers. He felt her shudder as his breath fanned over her face.
"Maybe I'm a little convinced," she replied, kissing him quickly.
"So, can I have my coffee?" he inquired hopefully.
"Yes, you can." She handed him his cup. He gave her a grateful smile before sipping the hot beverage.
"Mmm," he hummed and she chuckled before heading toward the bedroom.
"Oh, and Castle?" she called out.
"Yeah?"
"Move that ass, or we're going to be late."
AN: Well, hoped you all enjoyed, especially Alex. I found it fun to write.
