Skuld was sitting in the kitchen and pouting. Belldandy was nearby, but was on the phone.

"How soon can Skuld be sent back? ...Repairs will take how long? Oh my. ...Wait, what was that?" Belldandy replied.

Skuld's ears picked up.

"Punishment? But it wasn't her fault she was brought- Oh… That is a good reason, but we need to figure out how to deal with the government here. Someone appearing out of the blue without documentation could damage our-Oh… Thank you. I'm sure she wouldn't mind. ...Have a good day," Belldandy said before hanging up. She gave Skuld a sweet smile. "Skuld, I have some news for you."

"I'm not getting exiled like Urd, am I?" Skuld asked.

Belldandy's smile faltered. "Interfering with a wish like you did, did bring out a similar punishment. But you get to go on a trip to the place where our documentation claims are from!"

"Eugh, but the witches there either reject mechanical technology, or don't bother to upgrade it in any significant ways!" Skuld whined.

"It won't be a long visit or even a long trip. You'd be sent here for the duration of your punishment," Belldandy said. Deciding to change the subject before Skuld could whine more, the Norn of the present asked, "How is Sigal?"

"Repairs are nearly finished. Like you requested, she will be stuck in a child form," Skuld said, her mood cheering up quite a bit. "But can't I put in some upgrades, so she isn't defenseless?"

"Like what?" Belldandy asked, her tone a tinch frosty.

"Rocket punch, roller skates, Hidden blades at her wrists, and-" Skuld began.

"The first two are fine. We live in a peaceful area," Belldandy quickly interrupted. Skuld looked outside and pointed. Looking outside, Belldandy saw Centorea quickly slice down several wooden dummies, using a hard rubber sword. A sweatdrop appeared on the back of the goddess's head before she said, "She isn't using it on anyone. Besides, she comes from a warrior-based culture."

"And Miia comes from a poisoner-based culture that excels in Belly Dancing as a second option. What's to stop her from paralyzing us, so she could seduce your human from you?" Skuld asked without thinking. She slapped her mouth closed, once she realized she mouthed off to her beloved Belldandy.

"Thankfully, our mortal shells are immune to most, if not to all, possible poisons that are in this dimension," Belldandy replied with a smile. With a bit more heat in her voice than she intended, "And Keiichi is not 'my' human. He is his own person."

Skuld merely looked away and pouted some more. Belldandy sighed before she asked, "So what would you like for-"

She was interrupted by a rough knock at the back door. When Belldandy opened it, she was greeted by what looked like a young girl who wore a dark shirt that had sleeves far too long for her and the shirt had a large keyhole in the middle of her chest area. Slung over the girl's back was a very large key.

"Ah! Gate! To what do we owe the honor of your visit?" Belldandy asked.

"Where are your sisters?" Gate asked in more of a growl.

"Well, Skuld is… Here… Huh…" Belldandy answered as she let Gate in. However, as Belldandy turned around, she saw that Skuld had vanished. "Well, Skuld was here. Urd is in her room, but her temper has gotten rather short recently."

"Can't imagine why…" Gate grumbled as she strode into the kitchen.

"I'm sorry, and you are here because...?" Belldandy asked evenly.

"I came to… Personally deliver an update to Urd's and Skuld's punishment," Gate answered with an evil giggle.

"Whatever it is, I can deliver it to Urd," Belldandy said.

Gate looked at Belldandy for a moment. However, Urd had chosen to appear at that moment. She said "Gate? Whatcha you here for?"

Gate looked towards Urd and triumphantly crowed, "Due to the damage you dealt to me and my others when you pulled Skuld here, You've been restricted from your powers for the next fifty years! As for Skuld, her punishment is mere banishment for five years."

Slamming a couple of letters on the table, Gate added, "And you've been served! Have fun!"

And with that, Gate turned on her heel, left the temple and vanished.

Urd stood in shock for a moment before she rushed over and opened the letter addressed to her. As she read and re-read the letter, the Eldest Norn grew more panicked.

"I… Don't understand. How could you do damage when you pulled Skuld here? It was your transport medium and thus was completely safe?" Belldandy asked as Urd turned stone gray from shock that the letter was real.

"I… might've tried to shock Skuld as I pulled her through. I guess my lightning spell hit Gate instead. It says so on the letter..." Urd listlessly said. She then regained her normal colors as she grew furious and loudly added, "But I thought I was grabbing Mara and harming their Gate! How was I supposed to know?!"

Urd then rudely sat down and began to rub her face, as if to try to remove the memory of the last few minutes.

Keiichi walked in carefully, as if he was trying to avoid setting off Urd's temper. He whispered, "Bell, is there anything I can do to help before I go?"

Unfortunately, that got Urd's attention. "Help? There's nothing you can do to help. I'm as useless as you!"

"Where are you going, Darling?" Miia asked as she slithered in.

"My job. I'm working construction for the day," Keiichi said as he smiled a little towards Miia.

Miia smirked towards Urd and said, "Well, that proves my darling Keiichi isn't as useless as you, Urd!"

"That merely means you're a NEET, Snakey" Urd replied. When Miia tilted her head in confusion, Urd explained, "NEET means 'Not in Education, Employment, or Training'."

Miia grunted in shock as she glared at Urd. Keiichi opened his mouth to say something, but Belldandy said, "Ms. Smith will be here later today to deliver some cards that will allow us to travel without Keiichi. We can use them to procure some jobs!"

"Aren't they supposed to send those in the mail?" Urd asked.

"Sending them in the mail doesn't allow Ms. Smith to snag some of Belldandy's cooking," Miia answered. Urd pondered Miia's words for a few moments before nodding agreement.

"Speaking of food, here you go, Keiichi!" Belldandy said as she gave Keiichi something she prepared for his lunch.

"Thanks, Bell!" Keiichi smiled before he headed to his Beemer and left.

"I bet I can not only get a better job than you, Snakey, but I can even get it faster!" Urd said with a smirk.

"Heh. You're on, but who'd want a short-tempered goddess like you? All you'd do is try to avoid doing any sort of work," Miia replied with a dismissive shrug.

"At least I don't have a fat tail like you," Urd shot back.

"That does it!" Miia roared before trying to crush Urd with her tail. Like before Urd put up a shield.

"A little help, Bell?" Urd asked.

Belldandy smiled sweetly. A little too sweetly for Urd's liking.

The next thing that Urd or Miia knew, they had been tossed out onto the front lawn, with a meal box near them. Urd grumbled, "Not remotely what I meant…"

"Ah, is this a bad time?" Ms. Smith asked as she walked towards the temple, carrying a briefcase.

"Urd's a meanie," Miia pouted as she looked away.

"So nothing out of the ordinary, then! I'll go see Belldandy then!" Ms. Smith sad before her stomach growled.

"She thinks she's soo great, just because she has government powers…. Stupid showoff, appearing when I don't have any powers..." Urd grumbled some more as she stood up. "Well, I'll show her and everybody else by getting rich!"

Just before Urd could step off the temple grounds, Miia said, "You need the card she's giving us."

Urd's response was lost in her grumbling as she headed back to the temple. She let out an annoyed sigh as she watched Ms. Smith eating a dish of Tonkatsu.

'Deep-fried pork?' Urd thought. Though she knew Belldandy didn't intend to, Urd felt slighted by Belldandy's use of her own powers.

"Delicious! Keiichi grew lucky when he got you! Almost tempted to poach you for the food alone!" Ms. Smith said between bites.

"So… the passcards?" Urd asked as Miia slithered up to the door.

"Oh, those. Right there," Ms. Smith gestured to the letters on the table. Looking towards Belldandy, she asked, "Any coffee?"

"Oh, we don't have any coffee here. Only tea," Belldandy replied with a gentle tone.

"Rats… Well, I came prepared," Ms Smith said as she produced a can of coffee from her briefcase. The can was labeled, 'Smith Coffee'. "It's cheap, but its good. Got it from a nice tea shop that one of my clients owns."

Belldandy let out a tiny, yet annoyed sigh. After all, she took a great amount of pride in her tea-making. Urd couldn't help but find some amount of schadenfreude in the situation.

When Ms. Smith was done, she got up, grabbed her briefcase and said," Well, I'd love to stay, but duty calls!"

After the coordinator left, Urd looked through the letters until she found the one addressed to her. She tore it open and said, "Yeah! Now to show you all that powers or not, Urd's freaking awesome!"

After Urd strode out, Miia asked, "So...she always like that or is it the power-loss?"

"A little of both," Skuld said as she walked in. "So when do I go?"

"After you eat something, I'll take you to the people who will look after you until you get sent back here," Belldandy answered.

Skuld muttered angry grumbling under her breath about technophobic witches, unaware she'd be meeting one skilled with computers, yet was quite perverse, Yukari Sendo.

At the abandoned arcade, a runic circle appeared on the ground before five individuals emerged from it. Four had blonde hair, but one had black hair.

As the Runic circle vanished, the sole dark-haired demon, Halval, asked, "So what's the plan? Separate Belldandy and her mortal?"

"No. Only an idiot would go do that before creating a base of operations and regaining lost market shares," The adult demon in Gothic lolita clothes answered. Her name was Hagal.

Elsewhere, Mara sneezed.

"So we can't go and beat them up?" A muscular female demon named Thyrm asked.

"We could, but with the technology of today, it would not work to our advantage. Besides, Lady Hild has a variety of people looking into seeing if the extraspecies are good clients... " a demon dressed in red and wearing a helmet said. She hugged herself as she cooed, "Oohh! I can't wait to take all that wonderful aesthetic tech apart!"

The youngest-looking one, Eihwaz, sighed and said, "As your older sister, Mokkurkalfi, I'm embarrassed. We're here for business, not pleasure!"

"With the speed that this planet's technology is growing, it is business!" Mokkurkalfi growled back.

"Ladies! Arguments later, plan now!" Hagal loudly said, getting everyone's attention. Pointing at Halval and Thrym, Hagal said, "You two go to some place that has a lot of coal, sneak in, and you create some diamonds. No fights. Lady Hild has provided me someone who is willing to play quite a bit of cash for them."

"Crush coal into diamonds? No fights? Sounds boring…" Thrym muttered.

"Fine. Go to some cities far away from here and get into some underground fighting arenas or fight clubs when you brought the diamonds here," Hagal replied with some annoyance. "Halval, any complaints?"

"None. I get to use my speciality to see sounds and to drown the area in darkness," Halval answered with a slightly creepy smile.

"What of us?" Eihwaz asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Go to a place where you won't get discovered, and hack as many databases as you can and put us in them. Put myself, yourself, Mokkurkalfi, and Halval as humans and Thrym as an oni," Hagal ordered.

Thyrm interrupted by asking, "Hey, how come I'm not gonna be classified as a human like you guys?"

"Because the Oni here are incredibly strong and you'll enjoy fighting them, Thrym. Also, alter your form to include a horn on your head," Hagal said as she looked at the muscular demon. She then turned towards Mokkurkalfi and said, "Find out who owns this place. Once you do, we'll use the money we get from the diamonds to purchase this place."

"And just what will you be doing, Hagal?" Eihwaz asked with a great deal of suspicion.

With a mischievous smile, Hagal said, "I'll be contacting a number of demons who'd be willing to let us use their arcade machines and let us bring them up here for a recurring payment."

"...Humans can't use arcade machines from hell!" Mokkurkalfi yelled.

"We'd get permission to modify them, of course. Even Thrym knows there's no profit in exploding human heads!" Hagal replied with annoyance.

"Really? No profit?" Thrym sincerely asked.

Everyone looked at Thrym with some degree of surprise or annoyance. Hagal said, "...Moving on. When we've recovered our lost shares, we'll then go make a plan to seal Belldandy up or send her back to Heaven!"
