Megan, having separated from NiGHTS, types furiously on the keyboard of the super computer. Using the computer's search engine, she finds and copies all data concerning jesters, dream beings, aliens, and threats to humanity.

Rau stands with his back to the computer, watching their back for any attempts at an ambush. He had freaked out a little when NiGHTS and Megan separated, who wouldn't, but he seemed a little better now. Every once in a while, he would glance back at Megan in wary curiosity before resuming his guard duty.

"Alright, while all this stuff is downloading, let's take a look at some of their files. See how much they know about us...maybe even find out who or what Zane really is."

Rau perks up at hearing 'Zane', and turns to look at the screen, muttering something.

Megan begins opening files on 'Documented Aliens', finding August/NiGHTS as one of them.

"That my file..." The jester scowls at the text. "They think I'm overshadowing myself..."

"They even have Rau and Xavier in here...Jackle...Even a picture of Wiseman before his death...Huh?"

Megan spots a file containing images of Ray, Ash, and Rein, all three brothers grinning mischievously at something outside of the picture, "Now...Why would they be in here?"

NiGHTS notices that the red jester beside him is shaking as he stares with wide eyes at the screen, "Es ist ihnen...Es ist die bösen Hunde! Die dreiköpfige Hund!"

"Hund?" utters NiGHTS, catching how Rau said the word, "Hund...Hoond...Hound...Hound?" his eyes widen, "Hound! Dog!...Oh God, don't say it's true!..." he looks at the picture of the three boys in the picture. Triplets, two with long ponytails, one with brown, almost purple hair and the other with red hair. The third had spikey golden hair, and all three had murderous glee in their eyes.

"I-It's Cerberus!" he realizes.

"Cerberus?" Megan asked, being out of the loop. "Who's that?"

"Cerberus the Hellhound was a second-level Nightmaren created by Wizeman," NiGHTS replies, "He was a chained, vicious canine monster whose body was made of ethereal and elemental energy in the forms of three different spheres linked together by chains. The first two in front had spiked collars and legs, one head being red with the attribute of fire while the second head was blue with the attribute of Ice.

"The third head, which connected the other two heads together, was yellow with the attribute of Thunder. The yellow one was always the brain of Cerberus, while the other two were his 'arms'.

"He was set loose by Wizeman to hunt me down and to destroy anything and everything in his path. While only a second level Nightmaren, Cerberus was openly feared by allies and enemies alike.

"During the battle that I last saw him three years ago, he fell into the black ocean after trying to kill me, and tried to take Uncle Xavier with him. The black ocean is what gave me my human identity….and apparently gave Cerberus the split form of Ash-Rein-Ray."

"No way..."

Reala...Rau...holds his head in his clawed hands as he cowers on his knees, whimpering from the fear those creatures plagued within his dreams. Those monsters practically broke him.

"Rau..." NiGHTS pats his back slowly to comfort his twin.

Megan closes the file, knowing that having it open would only upset the poor guy worse. She decides to look up Zane in the database. To her surprise, he doesn't show up under 'agent', 'employee', or 'worker'.

"Project Zordone. Identification Number Z072-D0N3..." she reads aloud, "Placed undercover as Zane the orphan...He was...created...three years ago."

"Well now we know where the robot Zane came from..." NiGHTS glanced up at the screen. "What else does it say?"

Before Megan can reply, a bullet pierces the keys, barely missing her fingers.

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" yells an agent behind them. Behind him are at least ten guards and agents aiming their weapons at them, and more are undoubtedly on the way.

Rau clenches his fists, berating himself for letting his fears distract him from guarding his friends, as he glares at the NSA operatives blocking their only escape.

Megan, partially hidden behind NiGHTS, yanks her data drive out of its slot in the computer, the loading process incomplete, and hides behind the two jesters.

"Put your hands up freaks or we put one between your bug eyes!"

"Radio in that we've located the Night Jester and a new secondary jester."

"Ich gehe nicht zurück ... Sie werden mich nicht wieder nehmen. Sie werden uns nicht wieder nehmen!" Reala retaliates, standing to his full height and brandishing his clawed hands.

"I may not be used to my body's transformation yet, but I can still take you punks down!" the red jester charges at the agents with a battle cry, dodging their weapons fire, and slashing at any and all he gets in range of.

NiGHTS dualizes with Megan, even if they saw her or not, it would be alot safer then.

Reala tears through the agents, astonishing himself with how agile he can move almost as if dancing. His feet barely touch the floor as he lets loose a series of kicks and punches, throwing his enemies back.

He suddenly feels great pain in his leg, and looks down to see a metal rod sticking out of it. The rod crackles with electricity, shocking him to the point of bringing him to his knees. His body audibly sizzles and small wisps of smoke rise from his form.

"That will be enough out of you, beast," utters a cold voice, and NiGHTS sees the lady agent from Elliot's and Claris' capture walk slowly into the room, a used harpoon gun in her hand, "You two have given me a lot of trouble."

"No!" NiGHTS rushes over to his fallen twin' side, glaring at the women. "Who the heck are you?!"

"You may call me 'Commander', jester," answers the woman as she towers over them.

"Y-Y-You're...n-nothing...b-but a...t-t-thug..." growls out Reala's voice weakly from the trembling form in NiGHTS protective embrace.

"What did you call me?" asks the Commander in a low tone.

Reala lifts his head to look at her with a grin, "Y-You have...g-got...n-nothing...compared t-to...what I-I...h-have e-endured."

"Reala please...take it easy, you're hurt." NiGHTS spoke quietly.

"I-I've been th-through fire that b-burned worse than th-this, a-and stop calling m-me R-Reala," the red jester groans, trying to get back on his feet.

NiGHTS gives a start, just now realizing something.

"NiGHTS," comes Megan's voice within his head, "His voice...It's two languages at once...What's happening?"

The Commander glares down at the struggling red jester, who is slowly standing up, "I see you still haven't learned to submit to my orders. Let's fix that, shall we?"

Rau feels the electricity tearing through his body once more, and lets out a roar in pain. The same happens to the unfortunate NiGHTS through his hand on the red jester's shoulder. He hears Megan scream within his mind, his own scream echoing hers. Through the agony, Rau shoves NiGHTS away to break contact.

The Commander looks down at the now barely conscious red jester, his body twitching from excess electrical stimuli.

"You will make a fine soldier once I have broken you," she utters with a faint sneer.

NiGHTS can barely move, let alone stay aware of what is happening around him, his wounds taking their toll with the help of his recent electrocution.

He sees his brother, Reala...Rau, fight to get to his knees, uttering curses through his grit fangs. The woman back-hands him, making him fall to his side. Her stoic face betraying a faint smirk as she turns her attention toward him. Fear grips his gem-covered chest at her slow approach, but he can't move, he can barely comprehend anything that is happening. He just wanted to let go and fall into dreamless slumber, but he couldn't do that...If he did, he may not wake up again, and Megan along with him. He wasn't even sure if she was still awake within his mind, he almost couldn't sense her.

He comes out of his daze just in time to see the Commander's face change from a victorious smirk to confusion and surprise, then finally to fear as a shadow falls over her from a source behind him.

Lasers fly over him from behind, scorching the floor around the shoes of the agents and guards, causing them to panic and flee from the room like frightened cattle.

He then sees a face look down at him, a human face...his mom. She is saying something to him, but he is too tired to understand. Her face becomes a worried stare, and she shouts to someone behind him. Letting his eyes wander, he spots two more humans...Mr. Edwards...and Will. They were lifting Reala into their arms and carrying him off behind NiGHTS.

Is this a dream? Was he dying and hallucinating something he desired as the Commander tormented them? A hot tear falls down his cheek.

He feels a hand stroke it, wiping away the tear with a gentle touch, "I'm right here, Baby...I'm right here with you."

"M-Mom..." he croaks out, just before he loses the fight to stay awake.

"Man you are heavy..." Ryan trudge along, pulling the old wagon over the bumpy ground. Exhausted but refusing to stop even after walking all the way to the edge of town. Zane hadn't woken up yet and she wanted to find a secure place to hide before resting.

In the faint haze of morning, Ryan spots an old two-story house a little ways off from the road. It looked to have been recently abandoned, grass and weeds grew tall from within every crack and crevice around the building but there was no sign yet of serious structural decay.

The windows were smashed, the roof had holes in it, and the front porch was in disrepair.

"Can't be picky..." She makes her way to the backyard since she didn't want to risk being seen entering from the front.

The door was unlocked, but it was elevated off the ground by three steps, making her have to drag Zane from the wagon into the house then come back out to retrieve the wagon and blanket.

After closing the door, Ryan drags Zane to a nearby couch that had been left with the house, laying him on it and covering him back up with the blanket. He may be a robot, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't treat him like a sentient being.

The sky outside was gaining faint patches of yellows and pinks, the signs of a swift sunrise.

Ryan soon falls asleep, crossing through the barriers of time and space in less than a second as her consciousness flies to Nightopia.
