I own nothing, ATLA fluff

Headcanon:When Toph's body started maturing, Sokka would often find himself fighting to maintain control.

Honestly, he had no idea where it came from. It hit him one day like a dozen boomerangs to the face.

The first time he noticed had been about three years after the war, Katara had gotten her to wear some 'women's clothes' as she put it and the earthbender agreed. She was a teenager now, her face had thinned out and she started loosing some of the baby fat around it but he never noticed how much she had grown until he saw her that day.

They were going into town for some shopping, they were out of papayas or vegetables or something. He was waiting with Zuko and Aang by the doorway when they heard Katara's voice.

"Toph it's time to go!" Katara yelled down the hallway. They boys heard Toph's affirmation of Katara's words as the waterbender walked over. Katara kissed Aang on the lips, this usually caused Sokka to make a comment but he was too enthralled by the girl - no - woman in front of him.

Her long black hair was combed out, falling along her shoulders and down her back, her trademark headband still in its original place. Her face, pale as it was, always seemed to catch a certain light that made it sparkle. Sokka simply stared as he evaluated the rest of her. The sleeveless shirt showed off her muscular arms, Sokka decided that they had no right to look as enticing as they did. His eyes then traveled to her torso. When they first met he could've only known she was a girl by her voice, but now there was no question. The ample curve of her chest wasn't hidden under the shirt but presented;her waist was a work of art he had decided, the perfect curves of her hips made his eyes widen and his breath hitch and he couldn't help but think about exactly where his hand could fit on those glorious hips. Her legs came next, Sokka couldn't resist himself as to trace the long wonders with his eyes, wanting to feel every inch of them. Her feet were still bare, but he loved that. He realized that he has been staring by Zuko's hand on his shoulder.

"Come on guys let's go, we want to get there before all the fresh stuff is taken." Mai said as she unlocked the door and everyone followed.

"You alright there Snoozles?" Toph asked him while they walked, linking her arm with his.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" Sokka asked as he relished in the feeling of her muscular arm around his.

"Your heart rate went a little off kilter back there. I hope it wasn't memories of Suki, I would want you to go through that again." Toph said with a hint of sympathy in her voice.

"Oh no, don't worry about that. Suki is the furthest thing from my mind, believe me." Sokka said and Toph immediately grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the bison.

"Come on slow poke! We'll be left here!" Toph said with a vibrant laugh as they ran.

"If only she knew, if only she knew." was the one thought that ran through Sokka's mind.
