~Epilogue~

Alec was at his desk studying blueprints of the portal designs, "If I'm gonna be going back and forth every week to be an instructor at the academy, I need to make the trip through the portal less...unpleasant."

After Trish and I returned from the Dragon Realms after spending some time with the hatchlings, I realized that if I'd have to do something about that unpleasant ride. Although, I did notice that the last trip through didn't seem that bad. Maybe I'm just getting used to it...

...Or maybe the two separate portals are getting used to each other!

"That's it! When I first went to the Dragon Realms, I didn't have a second portal to come through, and same when Cynder came here. But with a second portal there for me to use, they should work together, and so make the trip more pleasant," Alec said, talking to himself, "But that wasn't the case...or was it? Perhaps they just need time to adjust to each other. And if that's the case, that would explain why that last trip wasn't that bad."

Why is it that the easiest solutions are the hardest to figure out?

Well, now that that's solved, I think I'll start getting to work on what I should do for classes.

Across the street from Alec's house, a white car pulled up and parked next to the curb. Then a man in a white suit and sunglasses stepped out of the car. After a pause, he started walking toward the house.

Spyro and Cynder were getting ready for bed. Cynder was already laying down, curled around her hatchlings while Spyro was just getting ready to lay down.

"Well, how does it feel to be a mom?" Spyro asked as he laid down.

"How does it feel to be a dad?" Cynder countered, although in her honest opinion, she probably liked being a mother more than Spyro liked being a father. It's not that Spyro didn't like it. It's just that Cynder carried the eggs in her for eight and a half months. There's a bond between a child and their mother that goes far beyond that of a child and their father. Although, with the bond between Spyro and Iggy, there might be an exception.

The two new parents laid their heads down and went to sleep.

You will never be rid of me!

This certainly was a really short Epilogue, wasn't it?

Something doesn't feel right about that ominous man in...white? And what's with that statement at the end?
