. . .SORRY! PLEASE FORGIVE MY UNFORGIVABLE LATENESS FOR THIS CHAPTER!

You see as I said before I went to New Zealand to visit my Bestest Friend with my other Bestest Friend [It was SHAMAZANG!] and the day I got back my parents told me we were moving so I now have no interweb at home...I am using my local library's interweb to post... BUT I have this chappy for you ALL.

I thought our loveable Dobe and our broody Raven should be getting feelings soon, so I decided to make it this one!

I thank you all who will still follow my story even after my extended delay.

Disclaimer: Naruto is Sasuke's not mine... I have absolutely no problems with this!

ENJOY!

Chapter Six: Reconsider

Tsunade had decided to keep him tied, at last his hands to try to keep him in at least a semi-stable state while they talked about Kurama and their conversations after the past few days.

Naruto told every detail of their friendly little chats but kept Mizuki's offer to himself, not wanting to worry his family in any way. He made up some story as to why they found him like they did, he thought it was pretty convincing, Sasuke didn't.

Not that Naruto really cared what the moody asshole thought anyway, the blond was mainly focusing on trying to keep the red power from taking control over his body.

Kurama kept releasing his power in small bursts, pushing Naruto to the edge of his restraint and his sanity. He then was relieved when he began to adjust to the harsh anger pulsing through his veins; taking it out on Sasuke more that once.

The Uchiha's were now down several ropes, a bed, a mattress, a wooden desk, two doors and a computer from Naruto's continuous lapsing in control. The elder Uzumaki insisted he'd repay them for all the broken items - he'd given Naruto a glare at that.

Over the days, Naruto was't allowed out of the house or the room so he mostly sat at the window following the thin trails of water roll sluggishly down the pane of glass. He liked the rain. It made him feel safe and - strangely - warm.

Shikamaru and Kiba had called several times but Kyuubi insisted that his brother was far to sick to even get to the phone, they left their messages an said their goodbyes before they stopped calling.

Kyuubi was very...calm and gentle around the blond, this pissed him off, he was being treated like he was a wild animal, like we was going to pounce on someone the second they opened the door to his secluded little room. He wasn't even allowed to go outside, and it was raining, Naruto loved the rain.

The door opened hurriedly and a mop of raven hair entered the room. "Dobe," he said acknowledging the blond's presence on the bed before going back to his own business, which involved rummaging through the closet for something.

"What are you looking for?" Naruto asked, not even dignifying the raven's insult with a retort, he was hardly in the mood, being tied to a bed for several days was more tiring than one would believe.

"Books," Sasuke said. Naruto could tell he was making a face as Sasuke soon explained further: "You know, leather bound rectangles with white pages in them usually covered with writing."

"I know what a book is!" The blond snapped. He pouted and wriggled against his restraints. It was absolutely ridiculous, he had to sit and do nothing for days and had to call someone every time he was hungry - which was often - thirsty or needed to go to the toilet. "What do you kneed them for?"

"You wouldn't understand," He replied.

"Try me."

"They are Business books on how to run and discipline an organisation successfully without the fears of bankruptcy." The raven was right Naruto had no idea what he said, the words slipped in one ear and out the other.

But Naruto remembered seeing books in the room before. "Can you untie me?" He asked.

The raven looked over his shoulder at the blond and smirked. "Why should I?"

It was Naruto's turn to grin as wide as the Cheshire Cat. "I know where your books are." His voice was smug and he knew he had the raven snagged.

Sasuke seemed to consider this for a moment before saying: "No, I'll find them."

Naruto was shocked to say the least. "Come on, Sasuke!" The blond was pleading now. "They aren't where you'd expect them to be, I'm pretty sure Itachi hid them."

"How would you know where Itachi hid those book then? If he hid them than there's hardly a hope in finding them again, until he gets them." Sasuke looked skeptical and he walked towards the blond slowly.

"I was zoning in and out of consciousness while he did it, I saw...besides I grew up with Kyuubi, the best player of hide-and-seek alive! I know how to find stuff."

He looked with hopeful eyes towards the raven. "What do you want?" he asked.

Naruto smiled. "I don't want to be tied up here anymore, I want to go for a walk and I'll come back here after that. Promise."

"Fine." The raven carefully untied his dobe and-

Wait.

His dobe? Sasuke shook away the thought, sure the raven was gay but he'd never in a million years fall for someone like Naruto, he was too...bright and happy, far to energetic and he was a Dobe.

It took Sasuke a few frozen moments for his sub-conscience to correct him; He was very bright and happy and energetic and a Dobe but Sasuke liked him in spite of those facts.

No, Sasuke did not like Naruto. Not like that.

But there was a part of him that kept saying: uh huh, you keep telling yourself that.

Once Naruto's bindings were untangled the blond stood, stretched and walked to the corner of the room where the floorboard was loose. He dug his nails in and pulled the wood up, picking the books up from underneath he handed them to Sasuke before putting the slat down.

Sasuke was scowling, obviously furious. "Do you want to join me?" Naruto asked, attempting to be friendly. He liked the raven, considered him a distant friend, sure they acted like they hated each other and they got of the others nerves very much but they were close. Well as close as you could get when your brothers date each other.

"No," The raven stalked off down the hallway leaving Naruto to his own devices.

The air was fresh and Naruto enjoyed the feel of cold rain over his heated skin, though it also made him sad.

He hummed a melody which fit the sky's mood perfectly, one he remembered from his younger years. When his parents were alive and they sung to him. Kyuubi still knew the lyrics but they were lost to Naruto, the melody was enough.

He thought the lyrics had something to do with the day the wind howled through the trees and the way the- Snap!

Naruto whirled to see Mizuki and Kabuto standing next to a large tree in the garden of a stranger. Mizuki held a thick snapped stick in his hands. Naruto stepped back as they approached, silently wishing that Kurama would step in soon.

"Kit?" The fox seemed to be waiting for some sort of permission, but Naruto was terrified of doing something he'd regret, and just whispered his refusal.

"Have you reconsidered our offer, it stands until you agree, you know," the one with the glasses told him.

"I don't want any part of your deal, Kyuubi and I have been fine until now and we will still be!" Naruto yelled.

"Oh, is that so?" Mizuki laughed. "Even with that seal of your's weakening? You will lash out and hurt someone you love eventually and it would be your fault for not controlling yourself. Kabuto?"

"We, our Lord, can help you, he can aid you in taming the beast inside you and allow you to harness it so you can use it to your advantage, the only catch," Kabuto laughed. It was creepy, It made Naruto cringe. "Is that you use your abilities to aid our Lord also."

It sounded like a reasonable enough deal but Kurama's words kept repeating themselves in his head like an echo. "I for one don't wish to be used as a pawn for some sadist, or for anyone." Naruto repeated them in a hushed whisper.

"He's being difficult, Kabuto." Mizuki cracked his knuckles.

The grey haired man sighed and loosened the seal more, the same way he did the last time. Naruto didn't scream but his legs became weak, he only just managed to keep himself upright as little bolts of white hot pain ran their course through his body, centering at his stomach where Kabuto's hand connected.

One second Kabuto and Mizuki were right in front of him, the next they were gone. Naruto hardly noticed and didn't care he only limped his way back to the Uchiha manor, wishing he hadn't asked to leave.

"Oh the little traitor!" Itachi said, exasperated. His eyes bled from raven to red and back several times in his anguish. He couldn't believe what his brother had done, Just for his books! Now Kyuubi was worried and Itachi knew he wouldn't do anything until Naruto got back.

Kyuubi stopped biting his nails to look at his boyfriend and ask, "Who? Sasuke or Naruto?"

Itachi opened his mouth to say something but changed his mind, thinking about the question. "Both!" He yelled. "Naruto, for telling Sasuke where I put his books and Sasuke for letting Naruto go!"

"Yeah, thanks Sasuke, now I don't know where he is and I'm going to worry about it until he gets back." Kyuubi mumbled.

Sasuke only grunted as the door was pounded upon. Kyuubi jumped up but Sasuke was already there opening the heavy wooden doors to reveal a weak looking Naruto.

The blond's head was down, his face not visible. His hair looked longer and ragged and by the time Sasuke saw the claws on his fingers as they gripped the door frame for support, it was too late.

Naruto launched himself at the raven, his claws only just missing a major blow to the throat. His razor sharp nails dug into flesh and Sasuke couldn't do anything.

Itachi and Kyuubi had a hard time taking Naruto away but they managed, only leaving the younger raven with thin cuts and some bruising.

Naruto came to, a moment after he stopped thrashing in the older boys arms. He felt horrid when he saw the blood on Sasuke's hands and on his own. He was worried and genuinely upset about hurting his raven... huh?

It hit Naruto at the same time it did Sasuke, who was having a hard time being angry at the dobe.

I might like him.

But still both boys denied themselves this simple feeling and forced themselves to hide it from the other, afraid of what the other would think of them, discovering that they were gay.

He can never know... At least until I do.
