It was not difficult to read Daiki Aomine's mood, especially for the basketball team members who had spent two, almost three years with him. Daiki, however, was not a kind of person who could hide his feeling. What he was thinking usually showed from his face. So, when today he came to practice with a sour face and a scowl deeper than usual, they all knew that the ace must have been in horrible mood. Well, they also jnew that this should be related to his latest date with the most beautiful girl in their university, Satsuki Momoi.
Actually the team members were really excited to know about the detail but then Daiki did it, made them all swallowed the question back, when he dunked and broken the basket again. They had to practice with half court now, and Daiki had been banned from dunking as well as being scolded by the captain. The dark blue haired guy didn't seem to care though. There had been something in his head and his teammates were dying to know what was it actually about. If only he didn't make that scary face.
After they finished the practice and went to the locker room, finally one of the senpais had the gut to ask him the question everyone had been wondering about. It wasn't easy though because Daiki could be really intimidating when he was in a bad mood oike right now.
"So, how was your first date with the goddess?" his Senpai tried to sound casual as he asked the question though he did a good job at saying it calmly, a nervous smile was plastered upon his face, "did she give you an OK signal?"
The other guys were trying to look as if as they were not really interested at all, they kept doing whatever thing they did before he asked the question but they were all waiting for Daiki's answer expectantly.
Daiki grunted, he knew that these guys wouldn't leave him alone until he said something, "it was not bad. We were friends now."
His senpai lifted an eyebrow, "then why you look so pissed off?"
Daiki gritted his tooth. He wasn't lying about them being friends now but how could he explain them his misunderstanding to them? It was too embarrassing. Daiki stuffed his belongings into his bag quickly before he left the locker room. Not even bother to take a shower first. He could do that at home.
He knew his friends were dying to know what really happened that day, he understood. After all they were the ones who suggested him to do this. It wasn't like he didn't trust his friends, it was more because it was too embarrassing they would never shut up about it once he told them about the real story. Even right now it was still embarrassing for him to remember about it.
When Satsuki said she wanted his body, he thought that he did it. Finally, one step clpser to adulthood. He was so confident that Satsuki really wanted him that way, just like how much he wanted her, right then right there. Maybe it escalated too quickly but he didn't care.
"So," he smirked seductively after she said the bold statement about wanting his body, "do you want me to give it to you?"
Satsuki blinked, she didn't expect that kind of respond, however, she laughed, "how? Oh, Aomine-kun, you are so sweet, but it is impossible... As much as I want to have a body like yours it would never happen. It would be cool though if only I were as tanned as you and those muscles too... I would look awesome."
Daiki frowned as he realized that he had made a mistake in interpreted her words.
"You want to have my body? You mean... You wanna be like me?" he was too confused to sound disappointed or angry, Satsuki however flashed him her beautiful grin as if to confirm her answer, "Are you fucking kidding me?"
Satsuki laughed at his reaction. She didn't know what he had expected from her but his reaction was kind of funny to her, "well, I don't have many girl friends, I always preferred to play with boys since I was young, though I didn't look like it, I was really tomboy when I was young. I always think that it would be great if I were born as a guy instead, then I can be... You know. I can just be like you."
Daiki snorted, "why would a girl like you want to be like me?"
"Exactly, that's why!" the pointed her index finger, "You see, people often refers to me as "a girl like you" and I don't like it." she shrugged cutely, "I guess they would treat me differently if I were a boy."
Daiki didn't understand what she was talking about at that time. In his eyes, everything about her was girly, he thought it was really absurd that someone like her wanted to be like him. Normally a girl would do anything to have body and face like her, wouldn't they? What didn't she like about herself? Her skin was like porcelain, with pink lips and big eyes. Her body was like those gravure idols, if not better. She was also easy to talk to. A girl like her... Aside from being so loose, Daiki couldn't find any reason why a guy would not like her. She should be happy with herself like this, shouldn't she?
Daiki walked home while thinking about his first so-called date with the peach haired beauty. After he talked with her, he had new impression about her. She wasn't an airhead, instead, she was really smart. She knew how to keep a conversation with a male without being fake or annoying. Daiki tried so hard to hint that he wanted to sleep with her but failed to do so since unlike his first thought about her, it was really hard to bring up a sexual topic in their conversation. He was trying to flirt sensually, something he had learned night before, and failed miserably before he even had a chance to try. Maybe after all it would take a little more time for him before he managed to sleep with her. It wasn't as easy as what he had expected but he didn't mind. He would not lose in this game, after all, the one who can beat him is only himself.
.
"Is there something you hide from me?"
Satsuki was looking outside the car's window when the red headed seated next to her asked her the sudden question. She didn't expect that question from him. For a moment she was worried if he really knew aboit something but as she studied his face, he looked so calm and cool like usual. It was hard to see if he knew or not. She had told Ryota to keep it a secret from him, Taiga was not really talk with him while Tetsuya... Well Tetsuya wouldn't do anything to betray her. So there had been no way he knew, right?
Satsuki smiled. She knew she should mess up. If she sounded nervous even if just a bit, he would know.
"I don't know," Satsuki laughed, "what are you talking about?"
Seijuro turned a little to meet her eyes. It made her really nervous. She knew he wouldn't hurt her, or do anything that would embarrass her, at least not with the driver around. Satsuki's heart beated faster as he looked into her eyes. No matter how much she cared about him, she couldn't help but to feel intimidated and scared at times. He was always like this. He would never really hurt her, but she knew how cruel Seijuro is and somehow it scared her a bit.
The red headed shook his head and sighed, "nothing," he said as he rested his back, "you just looked different. I thought something happened."
Satsuki tried not to let out a relieved sighed, instead, she smiled genuinely, "it is because we hadn't spent time together as much as before since you are really busy."
Seijuro frowned a bit, "I am sorry, I am really busy with the company, since my father is really sick right now, I have to handle the company myself, so I don't really have spare time for myself."
Satsuki looked concerned at his tired expression, she touched his arm gently, "are you okay? You shouldn't have picked me up today, you know I can always commute."
He shook his head, "you don't understand, do you?" he rested his head on her shoulder, "I feel better after I see you."
Satsuki blushed. He was rarely acting like this, "well, the others were missing you too. Maybe sometime you should take a rest and spend some time with us. Hanging out like before..."
Amongst her boy friends, Akashi was the one who rarely show his real emotion, even less than Shintaro. He always acted distant and cold but Satsuki knew that deep inside, the red haired guy did really care about his friends. Afterall he had always acted like their leader and everyone, including Taiga who often clashed with him, had always respected him.
Despite he would never say it out loudly, she knew that he would do anything, even the most extreme one for his friends, that was why she didn't want him to know about her meeting with Daiki. After what had happened in the past, Seijuro had been more protective toward her, and though she appreciated it, she couldn't help but to worry about her new friend. Daiki might be to head taller thSeijurouro but she knew very well what he was capable to do.
After he didn't say anything else, Satsuki turned her gaze outside the window again. Seijiro's head still on her shoulder. He closed his eyes and didn't say anything, so Satsuki thought he was sleeping. Maybe he was too tired.
Seijuro was from a really rich family. His father owns a big company and as his successor, Seijuro had been taught many things since he was really young. Seijuro was really a perfectionist, everything had to go like what he wanted to. He had the power to control the situation, and he was never failed. Except for that one time...
Satsuki's thought almost returned to that day in the past when that had happened when her eyes saw someone walking on the road side.
Daiki looked grumpier since the last time she saw him. She wondered what he had in his kind at the time, he walked home still wearing his sweat soaked jersey. She was sure he would catch a cold later. Satsuki really wanted to send him a text message to remind him to take a hot shower as soon as he got home and to take some vitamin and ate dinner properly before sleep but couldn't do that in front of Seijuro.
Satsuki let out a heavy sighed. She wondered why she couldn't just tell Seijuro the truth. It wasn't like she was sleeping with Daiki, Seijuro would understand, wouldn't he?
.
Daiki sneezed as he walked into his house. His mother frowned when she saw her only son was still wearing his jersey. His mother was preparing dinner when he climb the stair after quickly announced that he was home. The petite woman reminded him not to skip dinner but Daiki had closed his room's door, throwing his bag across the room and lay down onto his bed. He was so tired.
He sneezed again, right when his phone was buzzing. Lazily he checked on his phone and he was a little surprised when found out it was a message from Satsuki. For unknown reason he felt relieved. So it meant she wasn't angry or disappointed at him after their last lunch, so it meant he still had the chance.
Daiki read the text message with a deep scowl upon his face, trying so hard not to smile at her colorful letters and blinking emoticons. That was just so her.
'Saw you walking alone in your jersey. Were you in hurry or is it a trend to walk in soaking wet jersey in the evening? :( You will get sick."
Daiki wondered when had she saw him and why she didn't stop and call his name. He felt a weird feeling in his gut when he realized that she was maybe with one of her boyfriends at the time, that was why she couldn't call him. What was it? Was he some kind of his secret lover now? He snickered unamusedly as he typed the text to reply hers.
"I think I already got sick. Dizzy."
It didn't take so long before she replied again, this time she seemed to be more worried about him and again a weird feeling filled his gut. This time was a positive kind of feeling though. He grinned as he read the text out loud,
" :( oh my, now hurry take a hot bath and have the dinner! After that please take some vitamin before you go to sleep. Rest early tonight, you will feel better tomorrow."
Daiki was thinking about what to write when his bedroom's door was opened and his mom came into his room, both of her hands were on her slim waist.
"Daiki! What are you doing! Take a bath already and change into clean clothes! I already prepare the dinner, after you take a bath, eat and then take some vitamin! I don't want to hear any reason, you should sleep early tonighta," his mother paused when her only son started laughing, "what are you laughing?!"
The tanned boy grinned as he shook his head, "Nothing mom, you just sound like someone I know."
His mother eyed him suspiciously but said nothing, she told him once again to move his lazy ass and take a bathbefore left the now grinning boy alone, once again, in his room. Daiki put back his mobile phone on the table before he grabbed some towel and marched to the bath room. He sneezed on his way to the bath room. Maybe, he would really catch a cold but he didn't care, in fact, he felt kind of in a good mood right now so it didn't matter.
Later that night before he fell asleep Daiki got a new text message from the peach haired girl. He just realized that he hadn't replied her last text. However it made him grinned widely to see her text. She seemed genuinely worried about him and somehow it was cute. He wondered if behind her sexy persona, there was an innocent and pure girl? He quickly pushed that thought away. It was stupid. He might fall for her like this. He should not be fooled. Charming and sweet she may be but she was not good for him. He did not want a girlfriend who would sleep with many guys and didn't feel ashamed about it.
Daiki just needed her body. Once, or twice maybe but after that he would cut it off. They shouldn't be anything more than that.
It was a game, and as usual, he would always win.
That night, Daiki slept without replying her text.
