-Approximately Five Years Later-

Bella slipped on her dress. She turned to face the mirror as Rebekah properly laced up the back of the gown. "I didn't think I'd ever do this." Bella admitted to Rebekah as she ran her hands through the silk white fabric. She was in a floor length dress that fitted her perfectly. With the way Rebekah had done both her hair and her makeup she looked amazing.

"Really? I thought you would've thought about this often," Rebekah responded as she tightened the laces up on the dress.

Bella shook her head, "I love Kol, I do, but marriage never seemed to be something I wanted in life. I don't need a piece of paper to know that Kol will be mine forever."

"I don't think it's about the paper, it's more of the morals of it. This is a big deal for any of us, especially Kol who had sworn to never marry. This is about you and him being a duo in every way possible. This is you and him tying yourselves to each other for eternity. The paper doesn't mean anything, it's the meaning behind it. You're going to be his wife and him your husband, it's a special day." Rebekah said she smiled at Bella through the mirror as she finished her job. "You look breathtaking, Kol will be stunned silent."

Bella laughed as she looked at the dress in the mirror. "I hope not too silent it would ruin the vows."

Rebekah laughed she reached into her hair and pulled out a blue hair pin. She pinned it in Bella's hair. "I was in charge of your something blue."

"Thank you," Bella said with a smile. She reached back and ran her fingers across the pin she felt the elegant design and the small blue flower diamond that truly made it special. "I'll treasure this."

"I hope you will, I've been saving it since the dark ages," Rebekah replied with a smile at the knock at the door her grin widened. "And the something borrowed is here. I'll see you outside."

Bella nodded and turned back to the mirror as she stepped out of the door letting in the next visitor.

"Hello, Bella," Elijah said as he stepped inside the room, Finn following close behind.

"You look lovely," Finn said with a small smile.

Bella turned the skirt of her dress swishing with the movement. "Thank you, you both look quite dashing. Your dates are quite lucky to have on their arms."

Elijah smiled, "I am quite fortunate to have Angela."

Bella smiled knowing that her former human friend had captured the Original's heart was a great feeling especially being she who brought them together.

Finn smiled and pulled out a small black box from his pocket. "We were assigned your something borrowed."

"Yes it was quite a task. Now after much thought we remembered this. It was our mother's, before she wanted to kill us she was a good mother. And this necklace has been passed down through generations. It's a tradition that the women wear it when they get married. Our grandmother wore it and her mother before her, and you are a part of our family, so it's fitting if you are to wear it." Elijah said with a smile.

"And it is considered borrowed for when one of us gets married, it'll be your job to hand it on to their brides." Finn said he opened the box to reveal the ancient necklace settled inside.

Bella held back a gasp at the beauty it held. It looked close to new no sign that it was more than a thousand years old.

"It has a magic charm to keep it from aging," Elijah explained as he saw the slight confusion pass through Bella's face. "May I?" He asked as he held up the necklace.

Bella smiled and nodded, she turned moving her hair out of the way as Elijah placed the necklace around her neck. She ran her fingers over the amulet and smiled. "This is perfect, thank you both for this."

"You're more than welcome," Finn responded as he kissed Bella's cheek. "It's good to have you as an official Mikaelson."

Elijah did the same as Finn and kissed Bella's cheek. He said his goodbye as he left the room behind his brother.

Bella continued to look in the mirror looking at the ruby colored amulet and how well it fit her. At a knock at the door she spoke. "Come in."

"Hey," Bree said she was in the matching dress as Rebekah and looked like the true younger sister of Bella.

"You look good," Connor said coming in after Bree.

"You're in charge of?" Bella asked with a smile knowing they were here for something.

"We're in charge of your something old." Bree said with a smirk as she practically danced around with excitement.

"And you have no idea how utterly difficult it is to get something old you can use in a wedding." Connor said with a smile. "But we managed to do the impossible."

"It took some digging and a lot bribing and compelling but we got you the perfect something old," Bree said gesturing for Connor to present their gift.

Connor smiled and pulled out the perfectly wrapped box from his coat pocket. "We thought it was exactly what you needed today."

Bella took the box and untied the ribbon she gasped as she saw what was inside. With shaking hands she looked up at Bree and Connor. "How did you get this?"

"We know you had to push back your wedding because of Charlie's death, and we all felt the pain of losing him but you felt it the most. It's been two years and we're all glad you've decided to go through with the wedding even though he's not here." Bree said as she gave Bella a sad smile at the remembrance of Charlie.

"He couldn't be here in person, but we wanted you to have him in spirit. We went back to Forks a few weeks ago, and we stole back his old badge for you. It's old and battered, and you can't even read the numbers on it anymore, but it was a part of him for so long, we thought you could keep it with you to remember him by. Charlie was brave, strong, and caring, this represents that about him. He was a cop because he cared about others and always wanted to do the right thing. It has a chain, so you can tuck it into your dress. We wanted you to have a little piece of him on your wedding day." Connor said he smiled as Bree took his hand in hers.

Bella grabbed the badge with trembling hands, she put it around her neck and tucked it into her dress to lay just above her heart. She moved and wrapped both Connor and Bree into a hug. "You don't know how much this means to me."

"We just wanted you to have the perfect day, you deserve that," Bree said she smiled and stepped back. "We should get going, we don't have much time left. We'll see you outside, Bella."

Bella nodded and watched them leave. She wiped her eyes making sure not to smear the makeup Rebekah had worked hard on. Bella's wedding day was becoming more and more perfect as every minute passed. At the knock at the door she knew it had to be whomever was in charge of her something new. "Come in."

Klaus walked in a smirk on his face as he entered. "I assume you already know why I'm here?"

"To wish me good luck?" Bella asked with a smile. "They left you in charge with my something new?"

"Yes, I wanted something old, but Bree and Connor beat me to it." Klaus replied with a smirk.

"And what is this something new?" Bella asked as she was intrigued with what Klaus had come up with.

"Well, I wasn't quite sure what to give to you on this day. You have everything you could possibly want, but then I remembered you don't have everything." Klaus said he revealed a white velvet box with a red bow tied perfectly around it. "This is for you."

Bella smiled and took the box. She undid the bow slowly before she opened it she glanced up at Klaus who gestured for her to continue. As she opened the box she saw the elegant gold engraving on the inside.

To my best friend and my soon to be sister. – Niklaus M.

Bella looked up with a grin, whatever was in the box was still covered, but for the first time Klaus had referred to her as his best friend. "I knew you would admit it!"

"I thought it would make you happy," Klaus replied the smirk never slipping as he spoke. "Now, look at the rest of the gift, not just the engraving."

Bella smiled and pulled back the black covering from the box and her eyes widened at the sight of the bracelet. It was simple and silver and it had a small date engraved in it. Bella searched her memories for the date and finally she remembered it was the day she had died saving Finn. "Why did you put this date on here?"

"Because that date means something to everyone in my family. We saw you die Bella, and although you might not believe it that was the day you cemented yourself in our family." Klaus smiled. "Right after you died everyone, including myself, realized how important you are. If it weren't for that day, it would've taken longer for Kol to make his move, it would've taken longer for everyone to gather together as a family. You made that happen on this day, your death brought us together in grievance. And in all honesty, I remember thinking that day how much I would enjoy you marrying Kol and officially becoming my sister." Klaus stepped forward, he took the bracelet out of its holder and placed it on Bella's wrist. "You have been my closest friend since we met, and I am more than happy to be able to have you as a sister. I wanted to give you something so you could remember how much you mean to the people around you."

Bella smiled her eyes watering slightly at the thought that went into her gift. "Thank you for this, and for finally admitting that you and I are BFF's."

Klaus chuckled, "I didn't mention the forever part and you become my sister today, so you're more than just a friend."

"But that won't mean we won't be BFF's anymore." Bella said she smiled as she looked at the very simple bracelet but it meant more than anyone could know.

Klaus smiled, "You look wonderful."

"Took you long enough to compliment me, everyone else did it when they entered," Bella said with a smile. "But thank you for the compliment."

"You're welcome," Klaus said he kissed Bella's cheek, "Congratulations."

Bella smiled, "Thank you."

A few minutes passed after Klaus had left until the door opened again revealing Jeremy and Seth together both wearing matching black tuxes.

"Your escorts await," Seth said as he and Jeremy bowed for Bella.

Bella laughed, "You two look quite dashing."

"We know," Jeremy said with a smile. "Everyone is gathered and ready to start."

Bella smiled, "Okay, let's do this."

"That's the attitude," Seth said as he walked on the right side of Bella as Jeremy was on the left. "But, if you decide to back out Jeremy and I have a getaway car waiting outside."

Bella laughed, "I have no intention of running."

"We know, and we don't really have a car outside." Jeremy said with a smile. "We just wanted to offer you the option."

"Thank you, I suppose." Bella said with a smile. She smiled as all the bride's maids and groomsmen were lined up together. She smiled at all of them, they were her family. They began to walk in one by one. Bella began to fidget side by side as it was getting closer for her to make her entrance.

"Before we do this," She said as she glanced at both Seth and Jeremy who were at her sides. "I just want to thank you both for walking me down the aisle."

"We're happy to do this," Jeremy said.

Seth grinned widely, "It's what brothers do, Bella."

Bella smiled and as she began to walk forward the music began to play louder signaling her entrance. She smiled as she entered the room. Standing there was her friends and most of the town of Mystic Falls. She looked around the room and smiled as she spotted Jasper, he returned her smile with a nod of her head. Standing beside him was Damon who looked more relax as he had a now sane brother at his side. She scanned the room seeing everyone she had at one point met during her time at Mystic Falls. Her eyes travelled to the front of the room and they landed on Kol. He looked as handsome as ever in a dark fitted black tux. His hands clapped together in front of him as he stood waiting for his soon to be wife at the altar.

Her grin widened as their eyes met. He mouthed I love you to her.

As Jeremy and Seth stopped just steps away from Kol. Bella stepped forward and took Kol's hand. She stepped forward and stood in front of Kol. Her hands rested in his as the ceremony began. They didn't hear a word that was being said as they were too busy focusing on each other to care.

As Bella recited the traditional vows, she placed the silver ring on Kol's finger smiling as it felt as if it were just the two of them in the room.

Kol's fingers ran over Bella's hand as he slipped on the matching wedding band onto her fingers. "I love you." Bella whispered as the ceremony was close to ending.

"You may now kiss the bride," The sentence wasn't finished when Kol had already moved.

His arms wrapped around Bella's waist as hers were around his neck. This was their first kiss as husband and wife. They pulled back at the sound of a loud applause. Kol rested his forehead against Bella's. "I've been wanting to kiss you since you walked into the room."

"This was perfect, Kol." Bella said a wide grin on her face. "We're husband and wife."

"I do like the sound of that," He said he took her hand and together they walked back down the aisle more than happy to see where there forever journey together would take them.
