Chapter 12: Sina Bank

A/N: Yes, it's been a year since I've updated, yes I'm terrible person, yes I'm sorry. Dx

Anyway, I'm gonna TRY to remember the plot because guess what? I was an idiot and didn't write it down so now I'm here, with a cliffy, and no idea what happens next. YAY (sarcasm)

Though I do have a question. For some reason, I have the name "Rhys" written down in my notes and I can't remember for the life of me who this character is. WHO IS IT? D:

Rose's P.O.V.

Prying my eyes open, I find myself looking into Kaden's shirt. I roll out of his arms immediately and hop to my feet, fighting the blush on my face.

"Is everyone okay?" I inquire, pretending that Kaden hadn't protected me from our fall during the explosion.

Quinn helps said boy up from the floor, and we all look around in tentative confusion.

"We should-" Kaden starts, but Nina bursts through the doors, her face red from running.

Gasping, she points from the way she had come. "I-it looks like Sina Bank has been bombed!" she exclaims, catching us all by surprise. Alex runs in just a moment later and almost barrels into the smaller girl.

With a quick movement, he dances to the side and falls in a heap. "Are you serious?" he asks, bouncing up almost as quickly as he had gone down. "Someone bombed central Kalos?"

Quinn puts her hand on Kaden's shoulder. "We need to check it out and search for survivors," she says, and the duo start leaving.

"I'm coming," I state, but Kaden whirls around and stops in front of me.

"No, it's better if you don't get involved," he says. "Just stay here."

"Excuse me?" I scoff. "Who are you to order me around Stupid Head!? Are you the Prince? NO! So I can go wherever the hell I want!"

"Last time you did that you ended up shot," the boy replies coolly.

I feel my face heating up in anger. "I could care less! There are people I know in that building, and I need to see with my own eyes if they are alright!"

"You're not going," Kaden says, his response clipped.

My mouth hangs agape, and I just stare at him for a moment before screaming: "You Stupid Head! I fucking hate you!" Spinning away, I sprint from the room, anger still boiling in my chest.

Kaden's P.O.V

I have to admit, the flare of cussing that came from Rose did catch me by surprise, but I don't have time to dwell on it.

I turn back to Quinn. "Get Tiara, we need to leave now," I order. "Nina, come on."

Alex stands by the door. "I'll try to calm Rose down.." he murmurs before shuffling away.

A large chunk out of Sina Bank has been blown off, and we circle down in a helicopter. "Do you see any survivors?" Tiara asks from the pilot seat. "If you see anyone, point them out to me."

I don't answer her, before pulling out a Pokeball, and shoving the door of the helicopter open.

"Kaden!" Nina yelps before I step out and am in free fall. "Xerneas," I call, and in a flash, I'm on its back. With a crash, we land on part of the skyscraper. I scan the rubble before seeing a crushed desk. I recognize that desk...

Bowing my head in silence, I wait a moment, then spur Xerneas on. Digging into my satchel, I retrieve my royal headdress before cramming it on my head.

Got to look official, I think bitterly. Rose's face appears in my mind and I shake my head. The sound of scraping alerts me to someone who must still be alive, and I ride over to a bunch of concrete. I see two figures. One is struggling to pull the other out of the wreckage. I dismount Xerneas before rushing over to help.

"Haru?" I frown, as the boy with her has one of her arms slung over his shoulder.

"Is...she...okay?" the boy asks me, exhausted by the looks of it.

Helping him hold the girl up, I check her pulse. "She's alive," I tell him.

"I'm fine," Haru says, her voice catching us both by surprise. "Who were those bastards who attacked our business? Alexis? Find my father."

I'm silent for a moment. "Haru...I don't think he made it," I say gently.

Her stiff shoulders suddenly loosen and we almost drop her. "That...can't be..." she murmurs.

Tiara and the others rush in after apparently landing, and stop once they see Haru and Alexis. "So she made it," Tiara states. "I saw the President's crushed desk."

I nod at her wordlessly as Haru stares at the ground with wide eyes.

Rose's P.O.V

"Are you gonna come out?" Alex asks me, and I ignore him. "Rose?"

Slamming a pillow against my face I feel like screaming. I feel guilty for yelling at Kaden like that, but also I feel like it was justified. Does he think I'm incapable to be of help? Dropping the pillow to the ground, a thought crosses my mind. What if I do something to become stronger?

What if I...sneak out and train without anyone knowing? A look of determination flits across my face, and I look over at my dresser.

Plans form in my head, and I rush over to start tying sheets together.

A/N: Meh...short...but I dun't carrree. Dx I'm still confused on what is supposed to happen next..irk! Someone give me a promptttt.

And Rose cussed at Kaden..eee..o.o I didn't see that coming when I started this chappy...o.o

Anyways, I'll try to get back to this within a year...because yeah, I feel so guilty...
