Tony gazed at the him from the across the room, ignoring the teacher's lecture. His boyfriend sat next to the window, the breeze slightly fluttering his hair, making him seem like an angel. Steve looked over and caught him staring, a blush rising to his cheeks. Tony winked at him, and he bashfully smiled, embarrassed.
"Mr. Stark?" Kendra looked over at her English teacher, who had a slightly bemused smile on her face. "Can you answer the question?"
"Please repeat it."
"I said, 'can you tell me another word for beautiful?'." Tony looked over at Steve again, who was hunched over on his desk scribbling something down. Only one word came to mind.
"Extraordinary," he breathed out. Steve was still hunched over, but the tips of his ears turned pink, letting Tony know that he heard him. He smiled, and started tp pay attention.
At the end of class, Steve scurried past him, dropping a note on his desk. Curiously, he opened it.
I'd prefer it if your last name was Rogers, to be honest. Marry me?
At the bottom, there were two check boxes, one saying "Yes." and one saying "Absolutely!", the same way Tony had asked Steve out in freshman year, four years ago. He looked up, and was taken by complete surprise.
In front of her, on his knee, was Steve, holding a simple ring in his hand, diamonds twisting around an emerald in the center. Tony's jaw hung open, and Steve grew fidgety.
"I was-uhm, going to wait until tonight, but then you called me extraord-mmph." He was cut off by Tony kissing him, long and hard.
"Yes. Yes! One thousand times yes."
