Update (2/12/14)

So, with Whiteout now going live, and a lot more breathing room in terms of work schedule, it's about time I give you guys the update you deserve. So first off, all I can do is apologise and explain that I ended up more busy than expected over the Summer. It's a lot of stuff and should slow ignoring the obvious christmas rush but Whiteout chapters through New Year are finished. What free time I had was being invested in the RP I picked up. I'm now moving and will continue the weekly update for Whiteout. But I won't be able to upload anything else until December 16th at earliest when the internet is sorted out at the new house. Now to take this story by story.

Nightshade and Roses

Quite frankly, there's no inspiration here. And as an overall piece of writing, I'm unimpressed with it. It was a good starting point but since I started creative writing in February, I think I've developed a lot. I think Whiteout far surpasses this in overall quality. It's not bad perse, I personally think the narrative ideas at hand as well as the action sequences are solid, and I like my portrayals of Blake, Weiss and the Blake/Weiss and Yang/Weiss dynamics. Juniper was horrendous in my opinion overall. Ladybug should've been better, more believably built up. And there were too many individual plot threads. Also the OCs were pretty bad. So, Nightshade and Roses won't be updated. For me to get inspired to write it, I'd probably need to redux the whole thing and I think taking on a new project (Whiteout) would better help me further develop as a writer and better demonstrate that growth. I might plan a Ladybug/Freezerburn story later for those of you who still wish more of both existed.

Status: Indefinite hiatus. Perhaps stub.

Mirror, Mirror

This I really did enjoy writing until available time decided otherwise. However I always had a worry that sticking to re-telling the canon could prove troublesome. And that is pretty much reinforced by how vague Monty has been about the overarching storyline. To try and re-tell something so cryptic with any degree of consistency and quality would be a mistake. So what I'm planning on doing is reading Mirror, Mirror during this internet down-time and then planning out an original plot based on my very first theory about Cinder. I will have a poll up about where to go. Either it will be from the end of V1, from the end of V2, or from an ideal point during either. The Pyrrha/Velvet/Jaune arc has one more chapter that I never wrote and posted (that is inexcusable and I apologise profusely for).at I will get on it quickly and will post either on or sometime after December 16th (I can't post it before, and can't promise I'll be near Microsoft Word any time before then). I will have an update with it.

Status: Temporary hiatus. Being re-planned.

Whiteout

Whiteout has 5 chapters written and ready to go live. And I hope to keep ahead of the game with it. I think it surpasses the rest of my works in quality and I know exactly where this is going. Not much else to say.

Status: On-going. Weekly updates every Friday.

Fanficifying

It's not a word. But really should be. Basically, the roleplay I previously mentioned churned out some pretty good stories, ideas and scenes and birthed two, in my opinion, good OCs. We reset the RP a little while ago and, once the first arc is complete, I will be translating it from script form to actual narrative prose. Technically these will be collaborations with Zanmatsuken, Slayer-ONE and Bainbow. Pairings are somewhat up in the air but will be inter-RWBY. I can say that it won't be Enabler. These will be a bunch of connected fanfics with each new fic being a new arc, mini-arc or filler stuff. No schedule on when these fics will be first published but their updates will be weekly when they are.

Status: N/A

Other

There currently are no other real plans. One or two oneshot ideas. As I said, I could plan a Ladybug/Freezerburn fanfic, and the same goes for Bumblebee but that's pretty much just smoke blowing right now.

Status: Constant Planning

So that's what's happening going forwards. I apologise for the lack of communication and for ending Nightshade and Roses. Thanks to anyone who waited for me. And... that's it. Feel free to PM (don't review, unless you're a guest, because this will be deleted from my fanfictions themselves once it's no longer relevant) if you have any more questions or want something more in-depth about my absence. I'll be happy to elaborate.

Thanks again for your patience.
