Sunflowers…. Those flowers are very bright and cheerful, seemingly energetic. They made him think of that girl again. That cheerful girl that brought happiness into his life.

They were her favorite. Yukari said that "she" loved them because they were "full on energy!". Of course. Very suitable.

These sunflowers…. They made him think back. Before it all happened. Thinking about the series of events made his head ache, but he thought of that time he shared with her. It was weird. Definitely.

"Senpai…?"

It was night time. The Dark Hour, presumably. A young, auburn haired woman was on a bed with her boyfriend right beside her. The man had allowed the woman to lay her head on his chest, making her as comfortable as she wanted.

"Hmmm…?" the brown haired man made a single noise, informing the girl that he was listening.

"What would…," she trailed off.

"What? What would what?"

"What… would you do… if I… died…?"

"?!"

That caught him off guard. Really. He would've yelled if he didn't remember they were in the dorms.

"B-baka!" he yelled so only they could hear. "Why would you die?!"

"Well," said the auburn haired, "we ARE all facing a matter of life and death here…. There is a possibility we could… die."

"…."

That made the brunette man think. It made him think about what the kid said the other day. It made him think about how much time he had left. The inevitable event of….

"Senpai…?" she whispered.

"Hmmm…?" he replied.

"You… fell silent so suddenly that I thought you might've been mad at me."

"I wouldn't be able to bear it."

"Hmmm…?"

"I-if you died."

He turned his head, blushing with embarrassment.

"I wouldn't be able to handle it," he said.

"What would you bring me?" pondered the girl.

She was now propped up on her elbow, tracing lines with her finger onto her senpai's chest.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"T-to my grave." she spoke hesitantly.

He sat up and nudged the girl lightly on her head.

"Baka!" he snapped. "You're thinkin' 'bout stuff too much! Maybe you're not getting enough nutrients!"

"Well…," the auburn trailed off.

"Ah-ha!" grunted the brunette." I'm serving salad tomorrow!"

"Mmm!"

The auburn was going to protest, but she sealed her mouth. Instead, she smiled and put her arms around the brunette, eventually dragging him down.

She kissed him on the cheek.

"Love ya," she smiled as she closed her eyes and slowly drifted back into a soft sleep.

The brunette lay awake though.

"What would I bring you…?" he pondered.

Thinking back on it, he should've thought about what her favorite things were. But he didn't. He always thought that he would have enough time, but he never did. Now, he's here, facing the grave of the woman that he loves.

But he has it in his hand. He finally has the answer to her question.

Shinjiro Aragaki knelt down and said, "Sunflowers. I brought you sunflowers, Hamuko."
