/Prologue- Calm Before the Storm/
2010- The South Korean ship, ROKS Cheonan, is sunk by a North Korean submarine. Causing 46 deaths, and tensions to rise in the Korean peninsula. Secretary Clinton explains the situation to the world, with one sentence: "The torpedo that sunk the Cheonan, and took the lives of 46 South Korean sailors, was fired by a North Korean submarine".
2011- North Korea launches a new nuclear missile test, causing massive worldwide condemnation towards North Korea.
- North Korean artillery shells Yeonpyeong island. Killing four South Koreans and causing tensions to flare up to Korean Border War levels.
- Kim Jong-Il's government strongly defends the atomic test. Calling it a, "Rightful response to western aggression".
- The President of the United States arrives in New York City, and appears at the United Nations Headquarters, to call for severe sanctions against North Korea.
- North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il dies. His son Kim Jong-Un, seizes power over North Korea.
- The Korean People's Army pledges to support Kim Jong-Un, "To the death".
- The Pentagon convenes an emergency meeting after Kim Jong-Il's death. The President is presented with a briefing of a war scenario between North Korea, and the United States. The Secretary of Defense says that a war will be: "Unlikely".
- The last Coalition troops leave Iraq.
2012- Kim Jong-Un begins a massive purge of top government and military officials. The world watched as Kim begins solidifying his rule as the supreme leader of North Korea
- Kim Jong-Un announces to the world during a United Nations meeting, a surprise plan to reunify the Korean peninsula. His exact words are: "The plan to reunite our nation, will reunite Korean families, industries, and economies"
- Kim Jong-Un ends his father's infamous "military first" policy, allowing starving North Koreans to get the food they need. His popularity in both North and South Korea, instantly soars.
2013- North and South Korea reunify after over 60 years of fighting and separation. The re-unified Korea, is now officially called the "Greater Korean Republic".
- Japan has a renewal of ultra-nationalism. Many start to question the need of US defense.
- KPA military officers are either purged or sent to labor camps. They are then replaced with experienced and trained South Korean Army officers.
2014- Japan refuses to renew the US treaty of defense. Causing the United States and Japan to have a cooling of relations.
- All US troops are ordered to leave Okinawa and Japan by the end of the year.
- Russia and the People's Republic of China begin to send military aid to the GKR.
- Kim Jong-Un allows Red Cross inspectors to enter the infamous labor camps. The inspectors are so horrified by the hellish conditions, that they call it: "The worst we, or anybody else has ever seen. More so than the Nazi German concentration camps." 90% of the labor camps are publically closed by the end of the year. The remaining 10% secretly stay open, to keep the "most dangerous" political prisoners hidden from the public.
- Survivors of the labor camps are allowed to get medical help from the Red Cross. Some are even allowed to leave the country. Most immigrate to Europe, Taiwan, Japan, China, or even the United States.
2015- Saudi Arabia and Iran declare war against each other. Oil wells and pipelines in the Arabian peninsula burn uncontrollably, deeply affecting the world supply of oil.
- The US dollar is shrinking in value. Countless employees are laid off, and the national economy is teetering on the brink. Small-scale riots begin all over the nation.
- American troops begin to intervene in the Saud-Iran war after fighting spreads to Israel, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, and Yemen.
2016- Riots spread across several US cities, due to the collapse of the US dollar.
- Massive race riots begin in Japan. Koreans are lynched, raped, murdered, and assaulted across the Japanese islands. The Korean government is infuriated, and demands the riots to stop.
- The last US troops leave Afghanistan.
2017- The GKR declares war on Japan. Citing the reason as: "Ensuring the safety of Koreans in Japan".
- KPA troops capture and sabotage several Japanese nuclear reactors. Killing hundreds and causing massive worldwide condemnation towards the GKR.
- The US Navy pulls all ships from south-east Asia, to try and help secure the American homeland. A Pentagon spokesperson was quoted as saying: "This is NOT a retreat. Nor are we abandoning our Asian allies".
2018- Facing the threat of annihilation by the Greater Korean Republic, Japan surrenders. They are then forcibly annexed into the GKR by the end of the year.
- The GKR begins early annexation of several south east Asian countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The United Nations issues a severe condemnation of the act, and calls on the Korean government to stop. The Korean government ignores the UN's protests.
- KPA troops are given former American-made Japanese military equipment. Including, but not limited to: M4A1 assault rifles, M9 pistols, and several UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.
- Marshal law is declared around the continental US, Massive riots spawn in dozens of American cities. Protesters around the nation are told that: "Martial Law is now in effect. Excessive force WILL be used".
- The GKR starts purging top Japanese military and government leaders. Some of the few to be spared is the Japanese Emperor, and his royal family.
- Saudi-Iran war ends as both sides are reduced to ruin. The reason being that countless oil wells were destroyed, and that there is barely a goal left in the conflict. The entire region is now destabilized, and several governments are now taken over by Islamist insurgents.
- Gas prices begin to go over $20.00 a gallon. Many gas stations begin to report massive lines, and empty pumps. As a result, gas riots begin in America.
2019- An Asian bird flu pandemic spreads across the US. Over six million Americans are dead.
- The United States, unable to afford the rising costs of the GPS system, turn the entire system to Korean control.
- Korean People's Army troops deliver hurricane relief aid to Cuba, causing worldwide commendation.
2020- The Mexican and Canadian governments closes all borders to American refugees.
- OPEC announces that they will refuse to trade in American dollars. They will now only accept Euros, Chinese Yuans, and gold. The American economy is now in a deep recession, and bordering on another Great Depression. Investors on Wall Street to begin to panic.
- The President orders a freeze on all bank withdraws in America.
- The United States has an unemployment rate of 49%.
- Law enforcement officers in the United States are overwhelmed by riots. Many officers abandon their posts, or simply join the rioters.
- Korean microchip technology now makes most of the backbone of the US military, and infrastructure. Experts notice that many of these chips have a "cyber backdoor", meaning that experienced hackers can make the chips shutdown permanently. The GKR denies all knowledge.
- A new plague named, "The Knoxville cough", starts to spread across the American homeland. Thousands of Americans are hospitalized, while hundreds die.
2021- NATO all but falls apart due to disagreements and rising problems amongst themselves. The organization finally dissolves itself by the end of the year.
- Poverty in the United States hits record numbers.
- KPA soldiers start a peacekeeping mission in Nigeria. Ambassadors worldwide laude the GKR in a positive light.
- Kim Jong-Un, is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Human rights groups are infuriated.
2022- The Russian government is now controlled by Ultranationalists. Many of whom want a reformation of the Iron Curtain.
- The New York Stock Exchange suffers the worst trade day since the Wall Street Crash of 1929. Investors lose hundreds of millions of dollars in just a few hours.
- The United States of America is no longer considered to be a superpower.
2023- Many Americans begin to immigrate to neighboring states. California, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona suffers the most, as they try to handle hundreds of thousands of refugees.
-The Governor of Texas announces that any refugees trying to enter Texas illegally, will be shot on sight. The Governor's reason is stated as: "Texas doesn't have the resources, or manpower to handle any more refugees. We need to worry about our own citizens". The American government is infuriated, and demands the state of Texas to stop. California, and Arizona soon follow in Texas' example. By the end of the year, more than 562 people have been killed.
- Tensions between the United States and the Greater Korean Republic begin to rise after a Korean People's Air Force jet shoots down an American spy plane. 23 American soldiers are killed. Shockingly, the President chooses not to retaliate. He leaves office with the lowest approval rating since President Carter's term.
- The United States embarks on an isolationist policy for the first time since before December 7th, 1941.
- The Korean People's Army now numbers over 25 Million soldiers. It has now become the largest military in the world.
2024- Korean annexation continues to spread, despite the protests of the international community.
July 3rd, 2025- The Greater Korean Republic launches a 'communications satellite', clamming it will "Bring a message of peace to the entire world"...
/Chapter 1, Occupation Begins/
/July 4th, 2025, Los Angeles, California. 8:00 AM/
/Jeremie Belpois and his fiancé Aelita Schaeffer were waiting in a tarmac in LAX/
"How long until everyone gets here?" asked Aelita
"Their plane is about to land, so it'll be only a few minutes" said Jeremie
/Aelita smiled/
"How long has it been since we seen each other?" asked Aelita
"Probably a couple of years, aside from phone calls and emails" said Jeremie
"Yes, and did you hear about the satellite launch? The one that the Koreans did?" asked Aelita
"Yeah, and I don't like the look of it" said Jeremie
/Aelita shrugged as Jeremie saw a familiar face walk out of the terminal/
"Here they are" said Jeremie
/Aelita gasped with happiness as she saw an old friend walking towards her/
"YUMI!" said Aelita
/Yumi Stern ran and engulfed Aelita in a hug/
"It's so good to see you guys!" said Yumi
/Jeremie and Aelita looked around/
"Where's Ulrich and Odd?" asked Aelita
"They're in Colorado, but they said they'll be here tomorrow or the day after" said Yumi
"Really? Where in Colorado?" asked Jeremie
"They're in Montrose last I heard" said Yumi
/Aelita, Yumi, and Jeremie started walking to Jeremie's car/
"So how was your flight?" asked Aelita
"It was good, but the jetlag is killing me right now" said Yumi
"Well we can-" said Jeremie
/The three adults noticed the lights go out/
"Huh, what's with the power in LA?" asked Yumi
"It's probably nothing, the power fluctuates from time to time" said Jeremie
/Yumi shrugged as the group got in the car, Jeremie tried to start it but nothing happened/
"What the hell is going on?" asked Jeremie to himself
"What's wrong?" asked Aelita
"The car won't start" said Jeremie
"We should go inside and try to find out what's going on" said Yumi
/Aelita and Jeremie nodded and got out of their car, they walked with Yumi into the layaway area/
"I wonder what's going on?" asked Aelita
"It's probably nothing, don't worry" said Jeremie
/The three adults heard a loud bang/
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" asked Yumi
/Yumi, Aelita, and Jeremie watched in horror as they witnessed a tank run over their car/
"What's going on?!" asked Aelita
/The three adults saw a small group of people next to them/
"It's the Koreans!" shouted a man
"Is this what I think it is?!" asked woman
/Jeremie shook his head, with a mixture of shock, and realization/
"it's an invasion!" Jeremie said
Successful EMP attack on the continental United States. Korean People's Army troops and Korean Special Forces begin to mobilize.
9:00 AM: Korean Special Forces, SEIZE Hawaii.
12:34 PM: Korean troops, CONTROL San Francisco.
By July 9th: Korean paratroopers TAKE the Midwest.
By July 17th: Irradiated Mississippi River, DIVIDES nation.
By October: US Military ISOLATED & SCATTERED.
