There was a sudden breeze and pulse that rippled through the town. Todd was in the hospital waiting room, sleeping, when the breeze woke him up. Suddenly a wave of memories rushed to him and he remembered everything. The curse. It was broken.
Danielle. Where was she? Wait… her name was Rose. And his name was Thomas. He stood up and looked around. Far off in another room, he saw that Henry was awake. Dani—Rose would be so happy to know. But where was she? Thomas grabbed his jacket and headed out to look for her.
Rose wasn't sure about this. She wasn't even sure what she was supposed to be looking for. Rumple said that after a wave of purple fog, she was to go into Regina's house and look for a necklace. What necklace? Regina had a lot of necklaces, 36 to be exact: she had counted when she was bored one day. And how long until this purple fog? What even was it?
"Rose?" a voice called. She turned and across the road, and she saw Todd—No, Thomas, hurrying towards her.
"Thomas what are you doing here?" she asked.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. "Henry's awake and you're standing our here."
"Henry's awake?" she asked and she smiled, relieved. "I'm sorry, but I have to be here. My papa told me that I need to look for something in here."
"Look for what?" he asked.
"A necklace of some kind," she explained. I don't really know, though, he was really brief about it."
"The queen's necklace? The one with her powers?" he asked.
"What?"
Back in our land, when I lived in the town, I heard a story about the queen's necklace. That holds all her powers." He explained. "And if you destroyed then necklace, her powers would be taken away from her."
"So my papa want's to destroy the necklace!" Rose concluded. Thomas shrugged. "Well I am all for that. Want to help me find it?"
Thomas' laugh was cut short. Out in the distance was a wave of purple fog rushing towards them.
"What is that?" Thomas asked.
"…Something my papa did," Rose said. The two of them didn't know what to do but cover their faces when the wave reached them.
The wave only lasted about two minutes before it disappeared. Nothing had happened, they were still at the mayor's house. Thomas and Rose looked at eachother.
"…You mind telling me what that was?" he asked.
"I don't know but that was the signal to go find the necklace so let's go." She said and she opened up the gate. The two of them crossed the yard and entered the house. It appeared to be empty so they two headed upstairs to Regina's room. In the back of the room was Regina's large jewelry case.
"Alright, you check the jewelry case, I'll try the closet and drawers," Rose said and they split up.
It's very hard to look for something when you don't know what it looks like. Thomas kept holding up a couple necklaces asking if she had worn it before, convinced that if magic didn't work in this land, she wouldn't have had to wear it. Then he accidentally bumped the side of a drawer and a hidden compartment popped out.
"Rose?" he asked and he pulled out a magnificent silver necklace with a large red jewel in the center.
"Where did you find that?" Rose asked.
"In here," Thomas pointed at the hidden compartment.
"Then that must be it," Rose said. "C'mon, let's go. We're supposed to meet him at the shop."
The two hurried out and had to bob and weave in and out of a mob heading towards Regina's house.
"What was that all about?" Thomas wondered. Rose just shrugged and kept going. They hurried through the town and finally reached the pawnshop. They went inside and Belle was standing there. Rumple was nowhere to be seen. Belle turned to them and her eyes widened.
"Rose?" she asked. "Is that you?"
Rose looked at her mother and realized she now remembered who she was. Rose smiled and tears of joy came to her eyes.
"Mama…" she whispered, and the two of them rushed to eachother's arm, holding eachother close. They finally had eachother again, and when Rumple came back, they would finally be a whole family again…
"I'm so happy you're safe," Belle smiled and cried softly. They held eachother close before Rumple emerged from the back office.
"Looks like we're all back together again," he smiled and went over. Belle and Rose smiled at him. "Did you find it?"
"With a little help." Rose motioned for Thomas to come forward. He brought out the necklace and handed it to Rumple.
"Thank you, boy," he said.
"What are you going to do with it, Papa?" Rose asked. Rumple smiled.
"I believe a little revenge is in order," he said. Rose's eyes gleamed and she smiled the same smile Rumple had. She was her father's daughter, alright. But Belle was concerned.
"W-Wait," She said. "So you take her powers as revenge?"
"Well, I did promise you that I wouldn't kill her, so this will have to do," Rumple said.
"But…"
"Mama, you've been locked up for years and years," Rose said. "She kept me in her house making me do chores and never letting me be myself. She kept Papa away from both of us. Don't you want Regina to pay for what she's done to us? It's not even going to hurt her. We're just making sure that she can never hurt us again."
Belle looked at her daughter for a long moment. It was hard to tell what she was thinking.
"….Alright." she finally said. "But you two are going to accept whatever consequences that follow, understand?"
Rose and Rumple nodded. "Rose, come with me," Rumple said, and the two of them headed out. Belle turned to Thomas.
"Why don't you head home," she suggested. Thomas nodded and he turned to leave before he hesitated.
"…She looks a lot like you, huh?" he half smiled at her.
Belle smiled. "Looks like me, acts like her father."

Rumple and Rose were out in the forest. Rumple was leading the way.
"So how are we going to destroy it?" Rose asked. He didn't answer immediately. They reached a small clearing, a circle of trees. He reached into his coat and pulled out the necklace, and his dagger.
"With this," he said. "Stabbing the jewel with this will break it, and the queens powers will have nowhere to go but into the air, and she won't be able to get it back. She'll be powerless."
"Wow," Rose breathed, amazed. Rumple smiled and dropped the necklace on the ground. He was about to kneel down to stab the jewel when he suddenly straightened and handed the knife to Rose.
"You can do it," he smiled softly.
Rose looked at her father and smiled as she took the knife in her hands. This was it. Regina was going to pay for everything she had done, to her family, to everyone who had suffered by Regina's hand. She knelt down on the ground and Rumple stepped back a bit. Rose lifted the knife and pierced the center of the jewel. From where the knife hit, there was an explosion of light and wind so forceful that it knocked Rumple onto his back. Rose felt the wind wrap around her spinning, almost like a tornado. Then there was a flash of blinding light, and then silence.
Rumple was able to open his eyes a moment later.
"Rose?" he groaned and sat up.
Rose was nowhere to be seen.
"Rose?!" Rumple stood up. The necklace was broken in half, the knife was still there. Rose had vanished.
"ROSE?!" Rumple shouted.
