Ever After High had surpassed the day of the classics into a new renaissance of storytelling. To turn the world on it's head it took two girls; one meant to be bad but did only good. One who started as good and learned to be better.
The New White Queen of Ever After ruled with the grace expected of a Royal. She excelled with cleverness that improved the kingdom for all its subjects.
Professor Charming walked out of his first-edition office, off the grid and off the page with the most advanced Mirror net system programs. In the windows he saw young girls being trained by his sister in fencing and swordplay. Near his sister's side was the new coach, running faster than wind and barking at her students to keep up with her. The professor smiled as he saw the students, boys and girls, dueling together. Some were concerned with their skills; the Professor saw a twinkle in the eyes of the youths when they saw their challenger draw closer.
He walked past the laughing students and toward the Headmistress's office. The door opened to a soft violet, glowing in sunlight from her wall-size windows. The headmistress had thirteen scrolls floating in the air, feather pens signing when needed; her hands folded.
"You're beautiful as you rewrite the world." Professor Charming said. The headmistress smiled at him; in a single gesture she sent the papers to her desk. She stood straight and poised, her hand open to meeting with his. The professor took it respectfully; she pulled him closer, no space between them.
"I don't know if I'd be here without you." The Headmistressed said as she held her highly esteemed colleague's face; her purple eyes searched him up and down. "I don't want to ever after be without you."
The Headmistress pulled her skirt back to kneel on the floor. She kept his hand in hers.
"Oh my kingdom." The man in the navy blue suit felt his cheeks blush and butterflies fly out of his fingertips.
"I'm in love with you, Dexterous, I have a million chapters to write and I look forward to them most when I know you're included. So be mine forever after?"
"And a gort-illion years longer." Professor Chamring said he pulled the Headmistress to her feet. He laughed then kissed her, he kissed her ears and grinning cheeks. The Headmistress found a giant sapphire on her ring finger as it swam through the chocolate forest of his hair.
"Carry that around often?" She asked, the glass of the windows became as blue and sparkling, as if the office had went under the sea.
"Since the day I learned what was my destiny." The princely Professor took her off her feet and carried her to high seat. Her swirling amethyst hair and eyes under the oceanic light created wonders in his heart.
This is not your destiny,
The Headmistress sat in her chair as the Professor was on his knees, hands around her waist, lips against her throat.
This is not whom you are meant to be with,
She put her forehead on his and whispered what plans she had for their wedding.
This is not is who you truly are,
The Headmistress happily drowned in the love in his eyes. She closed her eyes and sat with his head in her hands.
The Charming Professor opened his eyes to see his fiancé's blood staining the carpet. It looked blacker than the black she wore, inky against her bright face. He could see her heart; open to the air and bleeding dry. Behind her on the wall was a portrait of Headmaster Grimm.
His stomach was full and ready to heave, he put a hand to his mouth. There was syrup there, sticky and oddly familiar, as if he felt it in a dream. In his horror-filled reality his true love was dead and he looked down to see blood on his hands.
Actually, on his claws. He stopped looking at the Headmistress and closer to his nose…his snout. Professor Dexter Charming saw his clothing ripped apart on the floor. The last thing he remembered was the taste of her, her lips and tongue in his mouth. He moved his tongue to feel something gummy in his mouth, in between the dragon-long teeth.
The lovely Headmistress's eyes were open, reflective as glass. He wanted to look in them to feel the last of her warmth. In her beautiful wingtipped eyes he saw a blue-furred monster wearing glasses. He saw tears fall down the beast's face, and felt a roar release from his soul.
You are the beast.

Dexter saw blurs when he opened his eyes. There were two purple blurs close to him. Raven brushed the tears away from his sapphire blue eyes. They were lying in a plush bed together. He wore a loose grey shirt, his hair free to stick in all directions. Without makeup Raven's lips were a natural blue. She wore a short nightdress decorated with birds in flight.
"I just opened my eyes too." Raven whispered, she stroked his face, empty of glasses but cuter than any white rabbit in a blazer could ever be.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Raven asked.
Dexter said nothing; he scooted closer to his violet-haired girlfriend. He didn't care that he was a head-taller than she was. Raven felt his face on her chest; she felt his ear go over her heart.
"Why do I feel like you've been keeping secrets lately?" Raven stated, she was concerned but she continued to soak in the sweet tingles of his hands on her back.
"I don't think you'd like me as much if you knew everything." Dexter admitted.
Raven put a hand on his face and pushed his head back. "Okay, I don't need to know everything but I'd prefer you not lie to me. And choosing versions of fables instead of the full novels is a type of lying. I'm still in Villainy 101 so I know."
The prince sighed. "I love you."
It made him exceedingly happy to feel her heart pump faster under his ear. Raven flicked his nose, he felt confused and excited that she was about to get her Queen on.
"Ouch."
"Try telling me that not after I accused you of being a liar." Raven said.
"Cuddlebug, ask me to do something to prove my feelings are real. Ask for anything!"
He's putting on the crown to cover something up. "Did you get pudgy after spending time with Cupid?"
Dexter yelped. Raven raised an eyebrow and waited.
"I'll go on a diet and-" Dexter felt himself suck in his stomach.
"Oh my hexes, I don't care about that." The witchling poked at his lungs to make him exhale. As he did a little trim of fat rolled under his tshirt. Raven sat up to stare him down.
The prince sat up as well, putting his hands on her shoulders. "I'll go on a Cupid-free diet."
I don't want to be jealous and evil like that, "No, I just want you to be honest about when you see her."
Dexter nodded and looked suspiciously at her. "Alright, can you honestly say that you've never tucked anything away in your heart?"
Raven blinked. "Yes I can. Who do you suspect?"
"You and Apple are together a lot and-"
Raven shrieked a great laugh.
"Well I prefer that choice over another Rebel." Dexter admitted.
"Really?" Raven tried not to act offended until she heard a decent explanation for his insanity.
"Your friends are the most wonderful people I've ever met, and they scare me with that. I'd rather not push my chances."
"I know you have Royal tastes but those I can keep up with." Dexter hoped he hadn't jinxed himself.
"Let me see if I have this straight; I'll let you blow up and you'll let me romance Royal princesses."
The prince grinned. "Perfectly hedonist and Royal-like, my dearest."
"Deal." She said, her face cool while playfully drawing on his monikered undershirt.
Dexter's jaw dropped. "Deal? Really?"
Raven snapped her fingers; a purple cloud appeared then became a purple cupcake. She smiled wickedly before flatly saying,
"No, Prince Perv." The cupcake evaporated.
The prince blinked then giggled. "With all of my heart, I really, really, really do love you."
Raven let the good minute soak in, "Me too."
"Cheat." The Prince teased as he put his hands on her ribs. She nudged closer, placing her heal on his plaid teal pants.
