Chapter 1

A small baby with bright red hair slept peacefully in her crib. Her mother quietly tiptoed into the room, gently kissed her forehead, and whispered, "I love you Kasey. Sleep tight." Kira then returned to her room, after checking on her other two children. She couldn't place her finger on it, but something didn't feel quite right to her.

Two hours later, the window to Kasey's bedroom slowly opened. A man climbed in through the window as quietly as possible. The last thing he needed was for the baby to start crying and wake everyone up. He looked down at the baby and laughed quietly. "This is almost too easy," he whispered to himself, "what kind of mother doesn't have a baby monitor in her newborn's room?" He carefully reached into the infants crib and picked her up. "Kira Finster, I finally got revenge on you for taking my daughter away from me. By taking yours away from you." And with that Hiro Watanabe climbed out of the bedroom window and into the night.

Kira woke up with a start. "That had to be a dream", she whispered to herself, "but it seemed so real." "Kira, what's the matter?" Chas asked from next to her. "I don't know", Kira replied, "but something is definitely wrong. I'm going to go check on the kids." She went into Kimi and Chuckie's room first, and was slightly relieved to see them both sleeping soundly. Then she made her was down the hall to Kasey's room. The first thing she noticed when she opened the door was that the room was silent. Almost too silent. She slowly walked to the crib in the corner of the room. The sight that met her eyes caused her to scream. "Kira, what's wrong?" Chas asked while running down the hall. "Chas! Kasey's gone!" Kira sobbed. She couldn't believe it. She knew the dream had seemed too real. "What! Oh no! I'm going to call the police!" As Chas ran out of the room, Kira picked up a small teddy bear from the crib. She made it as soon as she found out she was pregnant. It was her daughter's favorite toy. She held the bear close, and began to cry. She heard footsteps, and looked up to see Kimi and Chuckie standing at the door. "Mommy, why are you crying?" Chuckie asked. "Where's Kasey?" asked Kimi. Kira walked over and hugged her two children. How do you explain to your three year old son and your two year old daughter that their baby sister had been kidnapped?

"Kira", Chas said from the doorway, "the police are on their way." "Daddy, why is mommy so sad? What's going on?" Chuckie asked. Chas slowly sat down next to his wife and pulled his small family into a hug. "Kids, someone took your sister Kasey. And we're trying to find out where she is." Kimi and Chuckie were shocked by the news. They didn't understand what their parents meant. Why would someone take their sister? But they didn't have much time to think about it, because Chas and Kira slowly rocked them to sleep.

As soon as Chuckie and Kimi were placed in their beds, there was a knock on the door of the Finster household. Chas answered the door, and let the police in. "We need you to tell us all the facts." "We don't know anything," Chas responded, "my wife had a nightmare, woke up, and went to check on the kids, and discovered that Kasey was missing." "Do you have any idea of who could have done this?" the police asked. "Umm, no I don't. Do you Kira?" Kira was silent for a moment. "I know who did this." "Who?" "My ex-husband, Hiro Watanabe."
