*hides behind flame shield* Believe me when I say that this is part of the 100 themes challenge. I thought this theme wouldn't work too well with the Smashers I normally write about (Diddy, Toon Link, and the Villager)...plus since Lucario was more recently announced, I figured I'd do a one-shot involving him...plus, I happen to think Lucario and Mewtwo are friends (though like I said on DA, there is more than one Lucario, out there).

It was night-time, many of the Smashers were in their beds...

...except for a certain Jackal, who was on the balcony.

Lucario seemed like he was at ease. There were no explosions, no hyperactive children, no food fights, night-time was peaceful in the Smash Mansion.

However, since there have been the new tournaments, Master Hand has been picking each Smasher individually. Zelda and Dedede's training had paid off, Diddy and Yoshi have been training nonstop, it seemed that the mansion is even more chaotic than usual. However, some of the Smashers expected not to return. Red, Snake, even Lucario isn't sure if he'll be back in the Tournaments.

Of course, Lucario didn't mind, maybe Mewtwo might be back just as others have wanted, all the jackal could do was think. He couldn't effect how Smashers got chosen, if he did, he would've competed alongside Mewtwo back in Brawl.

"Lucario!" The Jackal turned his head, he saw Mewtwo was on the balcony, holding a strange stone. "Did you hear the news?"

"What news? Lucario asked.

"The news that you're back on the roster."

"I-I am?" Lucario was speechless, he didn't believe Mewtwo, he couldn't believe Mewtwo, how could he end up on the roster?

"Believe it or not, yes, you're on the roster, again," Mewtwo said, giving Lucario the stone, "I'm not sure if you want to use this or not, but think of it as a nice gift."

Lucario looked at the stone, it was Lucarionite, a stone used for a Lucario to use its Mega Evolution. The Jackal still didn't understand Mega Evolutions, but it did seem like a nice gesture.

"But what about you?" Lucario asked, "Does this mean you won't be on the roster?"

"Nobody said that," Mewtwo said, smiling, "Master Hand hasn't completed the roster, yet...but if he decides to bring me back, I request that we have a proper Pokémon battle."

Lucario finally smiled, "If that's what it is, then we can finally see who is stronger."

Mewtwo went back in the mansion, leaving Lucario alone, once more. The Jackal looked down at the Lucarionite. He could use it, but the tournaments were a long while away, and it was best to think about it before using it against someone else.

Still, it was a nice gift, and although he didn't understand Mega Evolution, he was willing to try it, one day.

Short story is short...now, I've seen a lot of crazy Mewtwo fanboys complaining that Mewtwo won't come back...to be honest, I wasn't expecting Lucario to come back, which gave me a huge shock. However, the roster isn't complete, so Mewtwo still has a chance of making it back.

...OK, I'll shut up, now.
