Whispers on the Wind

I hear your voice upon the wind,

I see your face upon the leaves.

I miss you like a long lost twin,

I hear your name upon the breeze.

Snowfall comes, brings solitude,

High and bright is winter's moon.

"Are you alright?" ask people shrewd,
I ignore them in the winter's gloom.

They think they understand my mind,

Think their words can speak for me.

Leeta, Barrow, people kind,

But I leave them, go out riding free.

I search for you within the jungle,

I search for you upon the plains.

I search for you throughout summer, stumble,

I search for you in autumn's rains.

I only find you in my dreams,

Yet the day it always comes to pass.

Dull are the stars, dull are their gleams,

And I know this heartache, it will last.
